Look out for Chrons or…

Look out for Chrons or Ulcerative Colitis. Colonoscopy should help with either of those diagnoses.

Here is a tip: if you go to…

Here is a tip: if you go to a gastroenterologist and complain of any sort of ongoing digestive issue, they can get you an authorization for a colonoscopy even if you are under 50. I went down this route after experiencing some scary symptoms. I got the colonoscopy and it revealed something, but fortunately not cancer. Even if it is not cancer, there are many gastro conditions that can be revealed via a colonoscopy that require management and it may prevent developing cancer in the future.

I'm not sure he needs to go…

I'm not sure he needs to go far to find his next DC. Elston and/or Clink I believe are qualified and deserve a shot. Same with Campbell as OC. Maybe for the position / strength coaches, but I doubt those guys are coming from the NFL.

Really need to get some…

Really need to get some finality in the staff sooner rather than later. Cannot continue to let this drag out as it impacts recruiting, but also the 2024 roster. I'd like it if Moore elevated Clink and/or Elston to DC, Campbell to OC and then hired some younger stud recruiters for the position coaches. At this point, that's probably the best UM is going to be able to do without blowing things up.

Good on the people who…

Good on the people who bought this early - will be a nice collectors item.

Good thing about next year…

Good thing about next year is UM can lose to OSU and still make it to the playoff.

Must be NIL $$$. Was going…

Must be NIL $$$. Was going to be a late first rounder.

He needs a deep threat and a…

He needs a deep threat and a reliable right tackle. Those were the main limitations of the offense this year. Hopefully once this all gets resolved, UM can attack the portal.

I think for JJ its more…

I think for JJ its more about where he is going to be drafted. If there is risk of him dropping past mid-second round, it is much more likely he comes back. If he is a likely first round pick, I'd advise him to leave.

With that said, he needs someone to throw to next year to improve his draft stock - so that needs to be addressed ASAP.

Sorry to hear this... I was…

Sorry to hear this... I was fortunate to not have a cancer diagnosis around the same time as you, but diagnosed with an autoimmune disease instead. I feel very fortunate to be where I am at, but also have been racking up the health bills. It is truly ridiculous. I wish you the best and have fun at the game.

I live out west so I've been…

I live out west so I've been to a few washington road games. They have more fans that travel to road games than all Pac 12 schools save Oregon and Utah in my experience.

You wonder how many brokers…

You wonder how many brokers bought tickets with the hopes of Texas making it. Could continue to drop.

Fun fact - Michigan and…

Fun fact - Michigan and Washington beat MSU by a combined score of 90-7 this year. They can at least laugh about that together after the game.

Don Brown defenses didn't…

Don Brown defenses didn't tend to do well against passing attacks with superior skill talent.

Texas was playing a lot of…

Texas was playing a lot of man against Penix it appeared. UWs receivers were winning all of the 1:1 battles down the field. Michigan has to play zone and hope to get pressure before Penix can find the holes (no pun intended) down field.

Shouldnt be too much…

Shouldnt be too much different then two consecutive road games. They get an extra day as well. Would be interesting to see what Washington does as its even more travel.

Will be a tough game…

Will be a tough game. Michigan struggles with tempo and cant fall behind early. I think its a fair fight with the location being nowhere near either schoool. Should be fun, Michigan really needs to avoid man coverage against Washington. I think what they did against Milroe (zone) makes sense against Penix as well (although realizing Penix is a lot better). Michigan needs to not get behind early and pound the ball on offense.

Juwan wouldnt get as much…

Juwan wouldnt get as much slack if he wasnt a famous alumni. I'm not seeing a lot of leadership qualities in him with his actions, but I'm even more upset about the quality of the product. The basketball isn't great and he doesnt have any Belein player holdovers anymore to bail him out. Then there is the nepotism thing with his kids.

Honestly, I dont see them moving on from him mid-season but possibly this off-season.

I dont know if pass…

I dont know if pass protection can hold up to allow for that. I hope it does, but it was really shaky vs. Iowa and Bama has a better line. I think the routes need to be simpler, the plays are taking too long to develop and JJ just doesnt have the time.

With respect to the running game, I'd like to see Mullings get more carries. He has better YAC than either Edwards or Corum.

Actually the rose bowl is a…

Actually the rose bowl is a preferred venue against Bama. Most of the other venues are in SEC country, so there is that and also I think natural grass can neutralize some of the speed advantage. I know it usually doesnt rain in Southern California, but its an el nino year so there is that possibility as well.

Look, it's going to be a tall task but if there is a year to beat them it's this one.

Agreed - to be honest…

Agreed - to be honest Georgia and Alabama have the best line play in the country and I don't think its really close.

The passing route tree is…

The passing route tree is going to have to change. Michigan doesn't give JJ enough easy throws that you see with other offenses. A lot of 5-10 yard passes are probably what is realistic in this one, I don't think Michigan receivers can get enough separation, nor will JJ have the time to throw it deep.

Need to watch the Auburn…

Need to watch the Auburn game to see how to slow down Bama.

Michigan not great historically against mobile QBs and at a significant disadvantage in the trenches. Not a great matchup. Need to play field position and keep the game low scoring. Also, slow developing routes / plays are not going to work against Bama, the line wont hold up.

Team has great length…

Team has great length defensively as a whole. That should help them stay in a lot of games, especially in college basketball.

Assuming 100% innocence is…

Assuming 100% innocence is also a dangerous way of thinking, no?

Ok, lets say Stalions acted alone and nobody knew - you don't blame Harbaugh for employing someone who seems to have been legitimately crazy? What about Weiss? What about Shemy? What about the dude with the underage girl? This is what I mean when I say poor judgement.

Yet everyone on here wants to hang Warde because he also isnt rushing to judgement.

Honest question: is anyone…

Honest question: is anyone really expecting that the NCAA won't be able to find evidence that at least someone higher up knew about this? I think its unrealistic that Stalions acted alone, and even without digital evidence - Stalions might be more open to being interviewed now that he has been fired.

It doesn't forgive the method in which this evidence was procured, but Harbaugh is going to have to take some accountability for this, even if everyone on here hopes for the best.

He's a good coach and is great to his staff / players, but seems to be suffering from some judgement errors. This is why everyone rushing to bash Warde for not immediately defending Harbaugh need to step back and think about why he hasn't up to this point.

Agreed that nothing should…

Agreed that nothing should happen until there is a conclusion. But you have to admit its a bit more than media "smoke".

Michigan had a staffer on another teams sideline taping the game with sunglasses lol. That's pretty sketch. However, we still don't have anything that establishes a direct link between stalions and harbaugh.

I think it's going to be…

I think it's going to be hard for the big ten to even suspend a coach without allowing a conclusion to the investigation and a formal response from the university. Current big ten coaches have the right to be pissed if they were impacted by a close game in previous seasons but there is no chance Michigan would have lost any of the games to date even without the signs. Moreover, Penn State and Ohio State now have plenty of time to prepare so there should be no fear or excuses moving forward. So it makes little sense for the big ten to do something impulsive that impacts this season.

Being objective, the stalions stuff is bad enough (especially with the CMU sideline appearance and another appearance that might be announced shortly) that it probably does warrant a coaching suspension and possibly more if there is clear evidence Harbaugh and other coaches knew exactly what was going on. I just don't see how the big ten could suspend without a completed investigation.

A lot of people are hard on the Michigan AD for not being more supportive of Harbaugh, but none of us really know the true extent of this. Hopefully the rogue staffer theory holds, but I'm not going to lie and say there is a risk this could be really bad.

Clarett probably should have…

Clarett probably should have googled “ponzi scheme” before posting.

Yeah you'd think they'd keep…

Yeah you'd think they'd keep it in house if it's the case. Unless there was someone high up so adamantly against the Harbaugh extension and thought this was the best way to force the university's hand against it.

That firm would risk it's…

That firm would risk it's own legal trouble disclosing the information, then. I guess that's possible, but it's a risky way of doing business.

Unless the university itself…

Unless the university itself (or someone on behalf of the university) commissioned the investigation...

I doubt this third party…

I doubt this third party firm would admit that they obtained this information via illegal hacking. They must have obtained the information through an authorized source, right?

Crazy idea, but what if it…

Crazy idea, but what if it was Michigan itself that commissioned the investigation?

It could soften the blow,…

It could soften the blow, though. Plenty of organizations hire unstable people who do crazy things.

Perhaps an unquestioned bias…

Perhaps an unquestioned bias towards white males with strong michigan ties who "put in the work"

His obsessive need for…

His obsessive need for approval and career mobility led him to ultimately cut corners to help him with his job. Certainly not uncommon, just the stakes are higher with this example.

Imagine joining the Navy for…

Imagine joining the Navy for almost a decade of your life for the sole purpose of boosting your resume to become a football coach at Michigan. That's some serious dedication / obsession.

I think he loves his career…

I think he loves his career ambitions associated with Michigan, rather than the program itself. For his sake, I hope he gets some counseling after this. It's likely ruined his career prospects in football and considering that this is basically his identity, it could get ugly.

Let's all hope nobody knew…

Let's all hope nobody knew what he was doing.

However, Michigan football definitely has a compliance / screening problem for new hires. First Schembechler, now this crazy man. They need to do a better job distinguishing between dedication / hard work and crazy. Of course, you could say that about every organization - but the stakes are high enough here where it really matters.

I've always found the person that stays into the office until 10 every night has a good chance of moving up quickly, but always seems to plateau and then when they do - it's ugly because that is their identity. I think Mr. Stalions fits that mold.

If the coaches were aware of…

If the coaches were aware of, and benefited from this level of prohibited advanced scouting - it is also morally questionable. Certainly domestic violence is worse, but we can't be complete homers on this.

This is a really bad look for the program and if proven true, will give Michigan plenty of cause for termination.

It's not like the michigan…

It's not like the michigan football program has the # of employees of google. They clearly thought enough of this guy to hire him full time. You don't think Harbaugh ever wondered or ask - "how does this guy do it?" Plus if it was above board, you'd think he'd be worth more than $55K / year.

This is dumb on so many…

This is dumb on so many levels if the coaches knew about this. They clearly should have realized that the optics would be terrible on this, even if they are somehow trying to take advantage of loopholes to circumvent the rules. What a terrible example to be sending to the players on the team, and probably not necessary.

And, if they needed this advanced scouting that badly - there would have been better ways to go about this that probably would have reduced the risk of getting caught. They hired a guy on staff to put tickets in his name on his personal credit card. How dumb is that?

This might be Harbaugh's Urban Meyer moment, unfortunately.

The problem is - even if…

The problem is - even if this guy attended one out of market game on his own dime, the association with the program may be all the NCAA needs for some form of punishment. That being said, if he's just really good at analyzing broadcast film I don't understand where the smoke is. One thing is clear, it's definitely not just the NCAA that is out to get Harbaugh, but some other big ten teams as well.

I did go ahead a google this guy and found he has taken down his twitter. He also posted some MS Visio tutorial youtube videos about 8 months ago where there are clear screenshots of "scouting report" folders and play diagrams for michigan football. Probably not the smartest idea. It would be a shame if this guy was playing "football CIA" at his level and no senior michigan staffer checked him. I guess we will know in probably a year once the NCAA has finished its investigation. Either way, we'll have to deal with persistent comments about inequity all year when Michigan wins games.

He reminds me a lot of Mike…

He reminds me a lot of Mike Evans. Definitely a pro.

Colorado is a very poorly…

Colorado is a very poorly coached team. Beyond the blown lead because they refused to run the ball, the amount of penalties in this game was shocking. I wouldnt be surprised if Deion gets rid of the D coordinator mid-season, that would seem to be on brand.

PSU to me looks like the best team in the conference.

Cade can’t really do anything without a lot of time in the pocket and will likely continue to get hurt this season. Iowa would have been better off getting a running qb from the transfer portal given their roster.

I know I'll get flack for…

I know I'll get flack for this, but east carolina +36 looks good. I know they lost a lot from last year, but this isn't Hawaii or Uconn. Even if I am wrong I still feel ok because Michigan is really that good.

Juwan probably needs to go,…

Juwan probably needs to go, but the university is going to give him a couple of more years unless he has another wisconsin-like blow up.

Beyond the players, I am fed up with his on-court antics. I watched just part of the second half last night and the way he basically chest bumped the ref and had to be pulled back from the assistant coaches was embarrassing. You could also read his lips where he said "F You" as he was being pulled away. That is just unacceptable and was shocked he wasn't T'd up. He is not a great influence on his players due to his lack of on-court maturity and his lack of accountability (based on his previous incident at Wisconsin). The fact that his players were wearing "Free Juwan" shirts is indicative that he hasn't apologized to his team for his behavior and likely blamed others for the incident.

While I don't believe he is a bad basketball coach and this year has had specific challenges related to terrible guard play, it's hard to root for him honestly. I'm also done with the nepotism thing. Jett is obviously a good player and is deserving of all of his minutes, but I just feel it would have been better if he encouraged his sons to play elsewhere. I've never been a fan of the coaches having relatives on the team due to the dynamic it creates.

So Juwan Howard made a fist…

So Juwan Howard made a fist and then swung his arm at a Wisconsin assistant mens basketball coach. The fallout was indeed an incident that resulted in a suspension. Am I missing something?
