Boy, it's a good thing Brian didn't have a doctorate educated cerebrum get in his way of pointing out what a horrible case the author was making. Otherwise we wouldn't have all been able to read this post.
Right, but he was clearly posing with different recruits in some of the pictures (if you look at the collection of tweets some of the recruits tweeted the pics with him). I'd assume that Michigan cannot send out any tweets of him posing with recruits, but that the recruits are more than welcome to do it? I dunno, NCAA rules are strange.
An elite player on the basketball court as a lot more of an impact than an elite football player. Only 5 guys on the floor at a time as opposed to 11. Plus he'd player a larger portion of the game. No comparison, really.
I think it was Jay and Mr.X. It'd be nice if they could prove the two had some sort of connection. I don't understand motive for any of them though. It's obvious Jay was involved, probably more than he admits to, but Mr.X is a strange dude. I just can't get over him finding the body when even the corroner couldn't find it despite knowing where it was located.
He's shown he can get around tacklers. There are 0 other running backs on the team that have shown that ability.
I agree that Brian may be a little overenthused about Shortfleet (good one!), but he's shown he can bring something to the offense that nobody else has. It'd be beneficial to get him more involved.
I don't know why I'm trying to argue this with you, you're clearly a troll, but I'm a sucker, clearly.
I think one of my favorite things about this video is that MSU seems to be wearing different uniforms in each clip. Oh, and all the SPARTY NO! moments.
This segment focused on going to parties at night. I think it is fair to assume that this goes on at most places. I'm not saying the schools encourage it, but I doubt it is discouraged.
One thing that's worth pointing out is that in some recruit interviews and OSU type stories, it seems a lot of SEC schools have hostesses that guide the recruits around and provide sex. That, to me, certainly seems to cross a line.
I'm under the impression that Michigan and most B1G schools (read: not including Ohio) don't partake in such shinanigans. While at the same time, I do think these schools leave it up to the players to take recruits to parties and the like. I think that's a significant difference. Maybe it isn't, and maybe that's not accurate, but that is the impression I get.
2.) This joke doesn't even imply anything bad about Ann Arbor. Personnaly, I think it smells delightful. Like deli's and football all in the same glorious location. Once you've smelled it, you will literally step into the city of Ann Arbor.
I know you are just posting this to be a douche (success!), but do you really think Trey talking is more important than Trey playing the sport that made him famous? If so, I can see why you have such a problem with these threads.
What qualifies any of us to talk about any of Michigan's sport team? For most of us, nothing. I, for one, still enjoy the discussion and reading everyone's opinions. Well, except for people who disagree with me, they're dicks.
What I'm saying is that I enjoy the feature, even if not everyone on the panel is some sort of expert.
Especially West Michigan. We are stuck either listening to Huge, who is a total blow hard but has decent guests, or to Sean Beligian (I'm sure this is spelled wrong and I know I could easily look it up, but I don't care) who just argues with ignorant fans (who do not call in or even exist). I do hate local sports radio. Not good times.
The comments in that post are great. Sparty fans go on and on about how rankings don't matter, but at the same time say that are putting together a greate class this year because everyone, aside from this guy, is ranked a 4* by at least one recruiting service. Just great stuff.
I know it is popular here to say that having the M degree will get you far, and I'm sure it will, but if he just has a 4 year degree most employers don't put that much extra weight on where it is from. Finishing his degree at FSU isn't going to hurt much. The most important part is that he finishes.
Ok, well what's your take on his use of FACTS? Like how recruiting rankings don't matter because Texas is bad and Boise is good?
If he wanted to make the argument that recruiting rankings are not the be-all end-all and that people take them too seriously, that'd be fine. My problem with him is that he shoots down the assertion that they mean anything at all because Texas and Boise exist. It's just a stupid, ignorant stance when there are countless articles, rife with FACTS that state otherwise.
Yeah, I'm torn on this one. I want him to play for the Lions for selfish reasons. It would be in his best interest to be drafted by anyone else...except the Raiders.
He's super condescending and assumes all fans are idiots. When Michigan lost to Ohio this year he kept saying, "It's ok Michigan fan. You weren't going to win every game." Meanwhile everyone calling in was saying, "Yeah, we weren't going to win every game, not a big deal." So who is he talking to?
I just can't stand the guy. Not because he's a Sparty, but because he's a condescending douche.
Eh, if they were going for a steal 1st, then looking to foul, I understand keeping Burke in. He's shown to be one of the best on the team at getting steals. It is a risky proposition though, with him having 4 fouls.
Who knows. In the end, I don't really think it mattered. Michigan never got to within one possesion of tying.
Yes it was both was with some of the stuff underneath. Howeva, the most egregious calls that had a direct effect on the score (goaltend, Burke block) all seemed to go against Michigan. There are always going to be questionable calls in a basketball game, it is a tough game to officiate, but those weren't questionable calls.

That is not what he said. Unless you are referring to a different team on a 12 year drought.

Are you implying Harbaugh may just be a better coach than Hoke? I'm not sure how that idea will be accepted around here.
Arizona is
Michigan is 2-3.
Arizona is 5-0.
They had Funchess listed as a TE. Mentioned that he may play mostly receiver. This list is not well done.
Here's one, he has bad skin. In terms of football ability, I don't really have any. He's pretty good.
He's shown he can get around tacklers. There are 0 other running backs on the team that have shown that ability.

Who is this Northfleet you speak of? I'm not sure, but you make a great point, short guys are all bad at football.
Cool story bro.
Hooray for banning jerks! I hated those guys too!
IN THE FACE!!

27-24, Michigan
Well, I'm sure Ohio is glad they don't have him now. Last thing they'd want is some artsy-fartsy nancy-boy on the oline.

1.) Super original joke. Nice work 11W!

3.) Not even an insulting joke. Nice work 11W!
Wait, but all I've heard from Chad Ford is that McGary was stupid for coming back? I don't know what to believe anymore.
Thank you for the disclaimer before the joke. That always makes jokes funnier. Seriously.

I don't think Desmond Morgan gets enough credit for outplaying his ranking. He's certainly done more than Frank Clark, at least at this point.
Denard continues to break barriors. He was an All-American "Back" and in now an OW. Glad he's continued creating new positions.

...brought to you buy ice cold Miller Lite, served only at Brann's while wearing your Meijer team gear.
You're thinking of his run against Illinois I believe...which was awesome. Too much LeVeon Bell jumping over dewds, not enough Denard.
Eh, I don't think the ripping here is of MSU, but of the guy who posted the article. If you read the article you can understand why.

BBQ at the Big House is coming up...
Lulz at you thinking the "You're Tall" letter was legit.

I assumed Brian changed the quotes and headline on this one...no so.
