No one knows if Braxton will ever be able to play QB again. He's had 2 surgeries on throwing shoulder. Folks down here are already saying that if Cardale 'Ain't here to play school' Jones leads them to a NC, he should be next years starter.

This guy wants to be right, so badly. Seems like everyone else sees a trend towards Michigan. Gosh, I hope he's wrong.

The problem with press like this is that it may push Harbaugh to make a decision. He'll be asked about this every time he's in front of a microphone. The NFL guys want to protect their brand and probably leaked this to force JH to decide now. Since there are more NFL options, he may lean that way. Bunch of damn babies.

Everyone running a business knows that the best hiring approach is to offer one candidate, then wait as long as they want to take for a decision. Then, when they decline, make a panic hire of a terrible candidate and close your business 6 months later when they steal all your widgets. Sixty percent of the time, it works every time. That said, I'd be fine with Les Miles.

NFL body, high school hands. Good luck in the league!

If I were to bet, I'd say Harbaugh goes elsewhere. That said, you have to take any ESPN report with a grain of salt. They dedicate an entire morning program to the NFL and broadcast NFL games. Over the past 2-3 days, there has been an apparently organized effort to talk about Harbaugh staying in the NFL. He may very well do that, and it certainly would be in the interest of ESPN that he do that. Nothing has happened until it happens.

I think "ihatemichigan" was asked to leave.

We took our two young kids to the game yesterday as well. Overall, a pretty decent experience. The buckeyes at our tailgate were very cordial, although I got to answer the coaching question about 10 times. We sat in two different locations, first half in C deck and second half in A deck. The fans in A deck were much more professional, still passionate. The fans in C deck were a bit saltier, very frustrated with the first half (and showing it). We got all the typical jokes about raising Michigan fans, etc, etc. I get that every day down here. One guy made a punching motion towards my son and booed him, which was pretty inappropriate considering his young age. I think the worst behavior came at the half with the Michigan Marching Band on the field. The fans did everything they could (chants, booing, songs) to drown out the bands patriotic themed show. Both my kids noticed this and asked a lot of questions after the game. I think it's much safer and friendlier to visit the Shoe with Michigan down. When we start reeling off wins again, the atmosphere will likely change.
Oh, and I completely agree with the OP's assessment of the stadium. They're very proud of what they have, but it doesn't hold a candle to Michigan Stadium. We've sat in every level of the stadium at various locations for several different opponents. A deck is fine, B deck can be obstructed, C deck is really high. There's an area in the closed end, at the top, where you can only see one half of the field. Constant piped in music, sponsored activities, and advertisements plastering every available square inch. And, they number the sections with Odds on one side and Evens on the opposite. How does that make sense?

We'll be down there, are taking our kids to the game for the first time. We've been to the game at the Shoe several times, have rarely run into more than verbal assaults from guys with mullets (driving Iroc Z's). We have lots of buckeye friends that we tailgate with, who defend us against feeling bad. Should be fun, Go Blue!

I'm surprised Thee Ohio didn't push for at least a 3:30 start. After a big splash v. Sparty, they'll finish with three games with unimpressive opponents at noon. West coast viewers will still be in their PJ's. Good luck improving on playoff status in virtual anonymity.

Dantonio's sooooo sensitive - Michigan is too arrogant, too disrespectful, called us "little brother", planted a tent stake in our field. He spends so much god damn time exploring his feelings about Michigan. I can't wait to see this guy fall flat on his face and start losing again. He's only one season removed from a 7-6 campaign. State was patient with him because fan expectations are historically so low. That touchdown at the end of game meant nothing, will just give the next Michigan staff something to talk about in Ann Arbor next fall. God, he's just such a baby.
|8 weeks 2 days ago||Business||
I'm not blaming these kids for making a decision now to leave, but it's still a decision they should be held to. Business decisions go well and they go poorly. Theoretically, hypothetically, what if, etc. they were to hire Jim Harbaugh, who has a track record of winning and would likely bring this program back quickly. It may cause kids who had the dream of attending Michigan, at some point, to reconsider. I would hope any new staff would tell them to keep looking elsewhere.

So, if Michigan does make a home run hire, should the new coach accept re-"commitments" from these kids? Also, we should all stop calling them "commits". They aren't committing to anything.
|8 weeks 2 days ago||Interim||
Just a thought, probably thought before below, but why not fire Hoke now and name Nuss interim coach? What is there to lose? Nuss gets a short tryout and the spotlight on the program dulls a bit. If he goes 4-0, he's considered as a candidate. If he goes 0-4, was he really ours to begin with?

Are there pointless questions? Kelly was at UC when Rich Rod was hired. Previous experience was at GVSU and CMU. Seems like a candidate at the time. No?

We've been to the past 2 games in the Shoe and are planning to go again this year. As someone else already said, you'll have the most issues outside the stadium before/after the game. The 2011 game seemed toned down, likely due to Michigan winning the previous game in AA and some trepidation about losing consecutive games. Once you're in the stadium, you may be surprised with relatively cordial treatment from fans. Relatively cordial.
We live down here and deal with these folks year round. When wearing Michigan gear around town, everyone has to say something. Most of the time it's pretty benign, sometimes it's not. I think it's worth experiencing at least one Michigan game in Columbus. There's a lot of good cameraderie amonst the Michigan fans and, if you resist the urge to escalate bad treatment, you'll have fun.

Wasn't this program better when we filled out a form with preferences, either mailed or submitted online, and got the outcome a few weeks later? I never missed on Ohio tickets. I didn't even bother logging in this morning, will take my chances on StubHub.
