I’m pretty late to this party but I’ll share my story. I lost 60 pounds in 13 months. 240 to 180. It’s been 18 months and I’ve never been higher than 190 since. Typically stay pretty steady in the 183-187 range.
Im not saying this will work for you. It did for me.
I actually increased my percentage of fat intake. Especially in the morning. I didn’t “track” calories, though I did track a percentage breakdown of what I put into my body and tried to eat at least 700 calories for breakfast. No cardio or crazy workouts. But I’m moderately active by nature.
I’d try to stay at 37% protein, 35% fat, and 28% carbs each day. Obviously I wouldn’t always be exact. I’d try to not go over 40-45g of sugar a day (and that’s even “good” or “healthy” sugar.)
If you keep your grams of sugar down to healthy levels, you will lose weight. Just be careful. Hard part is sugar is in everything.
I'm sure you don't care nor need to be validated. But I have no connection to Austin and no real connection to Onsted and I have been told everything you just said, by several different people. So yea. I'd agree that he's a kid a lot of people have on their radar.
I think you're being quite fair. And given my perception of the scholarship situation I find it to be an odd offer. But as I said, Bo Ryan was very interested, and I believe (hearsay admittedly) ND's coach attended a game as well, so it's not like he's some random player.
I've seen him play in person at least 5 times. You're assessment isn't really wrong. Athleticism may be an issue. Competition is suspect to say the least. But everything I have ever been told is that he's a great worker, smart kid.
Bo Ryan has watched him in person several times as well. Bigs, especially 6'10 bigs, develop late.
Was a complete disaster. No hurry up. No imagination.
You have 4 plays to not only get a first down, but also to take shots downfield. Instead they burn two minutes of clock and gain 9 yards.
I kinda wondered how the board would react to this because there is so much consternatation regarding Hoke's pressers.
Granted, this is a total extreme... the complete opposite end of the spectrum, but I'd gladly take Coach Hoke's "coachspeak" over this any day.... especially calling out specific players.
Well said. Being happy and acknowledging a good season aren't the same thing. Me? Not happy. But I also see that work Dantonio has done and understand what he and his staff accomplished.
Fandom has become about negativity. How many Michigan fans said they hoped blue lost this week for one reason or another? I read a lot on this board.
It's just easier to be negative for a lotta folks and make it about them. Personally, this is the best I've felt after a loss in my 26 years of fandom. I thought they played inspired football today.
I have been reading since haloscan days. I usually don't agree with Brian on much. But the dude gives us a great product. For free. The board has been awful this year. But some of the front page content this year has been top notch.
The passion and fight this team had today was at a level that has been missing for many parts of the last decade. When was the last time their effort stood out like it did today?
I was there and saw it plain as day. Clark made a gesture with his hand (honestly I don't know what it was meant to convey) at yelled something. The official was right there and threw the flag after the hand gesture stopped.
I have had season tix since I was 2 (26 years) and I never had a visiting contingent be so prevalent around me. My dad and I were pretty anxious about it. But when the game started it was fine. Guess I got lucky. The older guy next to me even apologized for his player throwing a punch!
I have heard a lot of horror stories about OSU fans. And, the area around my seats were completely full of buckeyes. I was worried it was gonna be awful. But they were actually fine, and an older gentleman next to me was quite nice to share the game with. I was shocked.
I think he's done a great job building the program. I just don't think he can take us to next level. We can't shoot FT, develop big men.... Rabble, rabble, rabble.
It's amazing to think where we were 3 weeks ago. Final Four! Go blue.
Watching Nik miss everything all first half and GR3 all game long did. That, couple with no back to the basket type post player (or philosophy) is going to force your PG into that position.
Maybe it's the loss of the best center on the land, a big play WR, a veteran tight end that can block and catch (as opposed to two tight ends that seem to only be able to do one of those), another SR OL, and a great 4 yr starting WR.
Maybe you could say the coaches should be able to elevate the replacements, but the fact is that while some of them are serviceable and have their moments, this offense is just not as talanted.
Nobody will ever be happy with play calling around here though. You throw too much against bama, people cry fro denard's legs. You run too much, they say air it out. He throws 5 ints, they say throw bubble screens. They play conservative to protect the ball, they say this is boring. You lose the starting QB and they say why can't the OC get recovers open.
Maybe mgoblog should just takeover play calling. Use the live blog or something, then text the play to Borges..
What would timeouts have accomplished? The D was gassed and at that point Nebraska was running at will, picking up first downs without even considering throwing. Timeouts don't change that.
Maybe the common denominator there isn't poor play calling, but rather the lack of talented qb play.
You want the OC to be aggressive and tailor the whole offense to a freshmen QB in three quarters after working on an entirely different gameplan all week?

One Maize to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Morgan was a bit more athletic, competition better too. But not worlds apart, by any means.

Double Post..... derp.
Even if it is not true, my brain processes Brandon Graham=Magnus. When I picture him as I read posts, I picture Brandon Graham speaking.
Come to think of it.....same way with His Dudeness and Woodson.
So, uh, who's the girl in the scrolling pictures?
I'd love it if it is just the generic stand in used for that particular graphic and she was intentionally left in the mix.
Also, good write-up.
issued a statement of support. Only condemded the specific use of player's names and said the fans love the coach.

but the PGB handle reminds me THE PROCESS days when we were all avoiding work and pouring our hearts into speculation.......
I'm just happy profitgoblue is back.
I asked for his return about two weeks ago!
Some will say that he gets paid and this is his choice.... And with that come knuckleheads. But, I can see that wearing one down a bit.

Burke is the best point guard in the nation. Even if Walton is solid, it will be a step back at the most important position.
Not saying they fall off a cliff, but to suggest they'd be better without Burke is a bit of a stretch.
Molk could single handedly elevate those around him with his play. He is very much missed.
People see 11-2 and certain returning starters and assume progress.
But some key cogs from last season are gone and the improved opposition + playing on the road has taken its toll.
It's all his fault. I agree.
I can agree with the "Sending a message" but that's about it.

Doesn't work like that in real life.
Yes.
