at least 50 percent of the championship field to conferences that meet automatic-qualification criteria and provide a play-in criteria. The remaining 50 percent of the championship field shall be reserved for at-large teams.
I don't think that the bolded sections quite mesh. Are they aiming for a true 50/50 split, or are automatic qualifiers more important?
On top of that there is already an exception for football, and the phrase "sufficient number of applications" probably has some wiggle room.

I came on too strong in my original post, but Brian's take on the first Winston assault has been grating on me for a year.
He's wrong in treating the first Winston fight like everything is cut and dry, when it’s really a jumbled mess. Claiming that Sturges was innocent is an example of that. Despite what the “witnesses” (fellow hockey players and their friends) have to say, he was involved to some extent. Another thing is the belief that Winston beat on Sturges so badly that he had to be hospitalized (though not mentioned in this post, Brian has mentioned it before, and it does appear to be the prevailing view on this site). Based on Sturges own words, it’s more likely that his severe injuries came from falling to the ground after he was hit. Same legal outcome, but two drastically different events.
Michigan State has had 20% of its entire team involved in unprovoked violence against other students for two consecutive years.
The 20% number isn’t true for last year’s fight and I think it’s an overestimation for the recent assault as well. And last year’s incident was not an unprovoked act.

Brian also said that the current incident was caused by last year’s incident. I think that’s quite a stretch. If they felt the punishment was light, then why the ski masks? The “light punishment” (multi-game suspension, jail time) didn’t cause the second attack; it just changed where it happened.
I’m not saying any of this to justify the actions of Dantonio or anybody on the football team. Winston should have been kicked off the team last year, as should any goons involved in this year’s assault. There should also be jail time. I just think it’s funny that Brian’s attitude on this story seems so similar to the msm attitude that he regularly rails on.
And why are people so surprised and pissed that Rosenberg is acting like this? Writers have to get in their licks when they have the chance because winning makes everything else irrelevant. Right now MSU is winning (yeah, 6-6 is winning for that program) and Michigan isn't. It's that simple. Win and it all goes away.
Rosenberg dislikes Rodriguez and that has been obvious for quite a while. But apparently that bias draws readers, so the Freep isn't going to do anything about it.
It's also clear that Brian has no fucking clue what he's talking about in regards to the incidents at State, yet he continues to talk out his ass about them.

Your numbers are still very wrong. I'm going to ignore the work you did for 4 year averages, because in this case, you mucked it up badly. Here are the actual average wins per season for the last 4 msu coaches:
Saban 7
Williams 5.34
Smith 5.5
Dantonio 7 (assuming a 5-7 record this year)
The part that confuses me the most is that you think Dantonio started with a 4 win season. He went 7-6 his first year in East Lansing.
If Dantonio loses out this year, and goes winless next year, he'll still be averaging 5 wins a year for his time at MSU. What exactly are your numbers supposed to show, because it definitely isn't reality.
The only real solution to the replay mess is to scrap the system. Then they can (they won't) fix the clock rules and give us back the football that's been stolen from the fans.

I think that the measurements and spacing requirements only apply to new stadiums, which is nice, but the no benches thing applies to all World Cup stadiums. If all of that is correct, I'm curious as to what the Big House capacity would be with seats instead of bleachers.

Based on location in the AP and Coaches others receiving votes category, I'd say that it's mid to high 50s. Even with such a marquee name, that's going to be difficult to overcome.
Didn't that only count QBs who missed games to injuries? At the bare minimum, I would expect a starting QB to miss a couple of series per season due to some sort of injury.
Leak and Tebow did not share the QB job at Florida. I don't think that a true two QB system has ever worked, but more than one QB will definitely see the field this year.
It's 12 games over 10 years, so they aren't going to be playing all 3 in 1 season.

Not a complete future schedule, but you can see that State has some games with South Florida, Alabama and West Virginia mixed in as well.

That's not what happened.
Going to the Rose Bowl is nice, but I think that winning the Big 10 is more important than what bowl you end up in (unless said bowl is the BCS title game).
They didn't have new original programming, but they did have a day dedicated to each school. They would show a few of the university's greatest games, big ten short stories and greatest stories. Just prior to this current loop of campus programming they had Northwestern day and I think they had Michigan State day earlier in the same week.
I think that Greatest Stories is probably the content you're looking for and it's pretty good, although I don't think they exist for every school yet.
RR had already won a Big East title at WVU before Dantonio even coached a game for Cinci. You can also add in that Cincinnati had just recently joined the Big East and that WVU is historically more successful than UC.
I'm not saying that Rodriguez didn't outcoach or outrecruit Dantonio (I wouldn't know; I didn't watch the games, and beating =/= outcoaching), but I do think that it should be obvious that the two men were on a fairly uneven playing field.
