does one normally change in response to success?

nothing is funny.
|1 day 20 hours ago||there are two camps||
camp #1 - full of excuses ("clean program!", "bad luck!", etc.)
camp #2 - fire the guy!
For me, I am in-between. However, those games against MSU and Indiana were unwatchable. It's ok to lose, but to look that bad?

that he's on a new level.
Also, I have just told my kid he can't play QB anymore. Did you see what they do to that poor green target dummy - it's going to get killed.
|3 days 7 hours ago||I like||
I like the use of the term "broad". Were you born in the 40s?
|3 days 17 hours ago||all we need now||
all we need now is "well..."
and some clapping.
utterly disappointed with team effort and Coach JB.
|3 days 20 hours ago||agreed||
it's not about wins and losses.
it's how you play.
the team looks bad, and they looked bad last year.
another bad year, and it may be time to move on.
it is too bad - I like JB as a coach and he is an obvious tactician. But it's pretty clear that tacticians might not be what is needed in hoops these days.
|3 days 20 hours ago||The argument||
I believe you can be better than UM has been and remain clean.
Saying that "every good program is dirty" is just an excuse, and at best an uninformed one.
You have to sell the program like hell and recruit like hell, but convincing a 17 year old to show up on campus should be possible without money.
The opposite argument is that EVERY good player gets paid. I truly find that hard to believe. Sure, some do. But every one?
|3 days 21 hours ago||the thing i don't get||
everyone who says
"well he runs a clean program"
"well he did well a few years ago"
when do the excuses end?
not this year, sure. but what if mediocre again next year? (which seems likely) and the year after?
if you think everything is a-ok, how long before you don't?
|3 days 21 hours ago||I think||
I think "blue_shift" actually makes a reasonable point.
Those who disagree: is your standpoint really that EVERY "top" player is getting paid? That there are NO honest folks (players) out there who want to do it the right way? It may be hard to find such players, but I suspect that that it is not impossible.
And unless you are in the business yourself, you probably don't know.
|3 days 21 hours ago||bad year||
Another bad year - and a team that is hard to watch.
I think JB peaked and is now on the slow slide out. I suspect he'll kick around for a few more meh seasons and then retire.
Where is the passion?

|1 week 5 hours ago||We are forgetting||
We are forgetting the real punishment: he has to hang out with Crean at every in-law event. Imagine when that guy starts spit-talking about who knows what, while poor Jim and John have to sit and listen. Let us forgive this offense; it is family, after all.

|1 week 5 days ago||blaming the U president||
Blaming the "president" of Wisc (actually Chancellor) doesn't make sense - Barry A. has been a cheapskate for years, long before the current Chancellor showed up.
On top of that, Chancellor Blank spent almost a decade at Michigan -- you'd think she'd understand the value of football ...

|2 weeks 5 hours ago||the problem||
the problem is the entire process.
it should be simplified in this way:
otherwise both sides should be able to back out, which is the current state of affairs. the kids back out daily; somehow the school backing out is making big news.

you turned out to be really wrong on this one - had the pats kicked the FG, the TD would have won the game (yes who knows what would have happened but ...)
