I think the love-affair of the SEC by ESPN and others has gotten into the heads of the mid-western recruits. The Big Ten has been beaten down by pundits about not being able to compete with the SEC teams. I think the Vols feel like with all the controversy that has surrounded Michigan football that maybe they can sneak a few big time recruits out of the state. They may be using the likes of Mark Ingram as to what they may be able to accomplish. Just a thought.
Weren't these guys coming from the team awards banquet or something? Dantonio serves drinks at team functions - no wonder he's winning the in-state recruiting.
As a part of the coaching community, I can tell you that WMU puts an empahasis on Florida recruiting. Coach Cubit has a lot of contacts with HS coaches in Florida. I believe Cubit has a home in Florida and will spend a few weeks there before signing day.
