Ped State's D is horrible. Drawing conclusions on Speigh based on his performance against any of the D's we've seen so far is absurd. Let's see how he performs against real linebackers dropping in coverage and blitzing. His season will be judged on how he does vs MSU OSU Iowa Wisconsin pretty much.

Yeah down voted you. Michigan is a state where they care about college football, Jersey is not. Michigan is a state full of very nice people, Jersey is not. Michigan has no equivalent to Jersey Shore paesan, meatBall, GTL types. Michigan has gorgeous areas especially up North, Jersey is a giant parking lot. Jersey is unique. No other stat is like it. You could say there are a lot of states like Michigan in terms of kind people, beautiful scenery, culture like Minnesota, Indiana, etc. But Michigan is better than all of them.

2. Spate's lack of mobility will hurt this team in key moments.
3. Don Brown needs to dial back the aggression from his back 7, stay sound back there, and let the beasts up front take care of the pressure. Way too many busts in the middle and deep.
4. The first quarter full of trick plays that led to wide open dudes and lots of points/yards against our D is a premonition of the upcoming MSU and Ohio State games.
5. Due to poor QB and O-line play, I now beleve we will lose to both MSU and OSU again, and the OSU game will be another ass-thumping.
6. Peppers is a beast. Butt is as well.

Bottom line is SEC might have better athletes, but other than Alabama they have inferior discipline and coaching relative to the Big Ten's elite programs. There I said it.

I remember back in the 80's when I went to school and we won games 55-0 on the regular that I barely knew the names of 2 linemen let alone if an opposing team's second or third string safety was injured... Honestly not sure which option is better other but then again, no MGoBlog back then and MGoBlog is kind of the shit.

A little brother is one who defines himself entirely by the example set by his big brother, and how he measures up to said sibling.
<Reads that picture> BINGO!!!
I never realized that Sparty's obsession with Michigan transcended success on the football field such that even at the peak of their success over 7 years, our little brothers are still good for that annual reminder that the University of Michigan was, is and always will be their entire world.
The sharpest contrast between our two programs is that Michigan's vision is national in scope, and transcends MSU and Ohio State. We measure ourselves nationally both in academics and athletically. MSU's vision is comprised of one and only one thing - "how do we measure up to Michigan?"
Karma, gravity, fate, and self-inflicted obsession like this picture are all always there to remind all of us of Sparty's place as nothing more than a regional program. Exhibit B would be Sparty's responce to their first chance at a national championship in half a century by taking the shape of a wack-a-mole under the Alabama Crimson elephant's 38-0 stomp in the CFB playoff. Translation: "Get on your bike Sparty and get back to your region and get back to obsessing over Michigan like is your lot in life."
This picture says "Yessir!"
Thanks for reminding us you obsess over us Sparty. We enjoy that yearly laugh.

Sorry but no. Stanford was a joke for decades upon decades. Army? Navy? Purdue? Sure ND has had a good schedule the last 8-10 years but prior to that, it was weak sauce for decades. (I may be totally wrong but as a Michigan fan it's my job to judge ND poorly based upon limited data sets).

Solomon is in the mold of that mythical southern SEC D lineman that everyone has been saying separates the SEC from the rest. Really hope he comes back after testing other waters. Athens is nice, but Georgia will always be #4-5 in the SEC behind Bama, LSU, Florida, and take your pick of random SEC team of the year like Auburn or Ole Miss, whereas Michigan is getting ready to challenge for that #1 spot in the BIG.

Football is the sport where coaching has much more to do with success than any other major sport. This is how an App State can beat us. This is how a WIsconsin team that has never had a recruiting class ranked higher than us could steamroll us like a hot knife through butter last time we played.
But now we have Harbaugh. While it sucks to see OSU line up talent or for us to lose talent, we're getting our fair share, and in the long run I am hopeful that Harbaugh > Meyer. Thus, posts like this don't bother me. Next.

Hate comments like this. Oh sure, when Beilein can't translate NC games, BiG championships and Elite 8's into decent recruiting it's because he's clean, but when Urban does, God forbid anyone question how it happens.
As long as Michigan fans have a breath of life in them it's our job to undermine our biggest rival to the best of our ability within the confines of reason, and with Urban and Ohio State's recent track record, questioning or making humorous light of extra benefits on the table is certainly reasonable.
Kindly never post this again. On that note, I'll kindly ask that no one ever post those annoying, obligatory post-rival injury posts of "Aw shucks So&So star player on our rival is hurt? Sucks because even though we lost a lot of players to injury as well, I would prefer playing them with their entire roster of 500 pound juggernauts and NFL first rounders intact, even though they have beaten us consistently for over a decade..."

I wonder if like 20 years from now the interwebs will finally mature past the wild west where the law was basically whomever happened to be around to make the law. Every shit eating asshole can throw up an opinion or a top ten list or a biased poll on the net and pass it off as the law and that, to me, is wearing a lot thinner than Harbaugh will in 4, 10 or 20 years at Michigan.
Some type of veracity index that insta bullshit checks the endless sea of opining douches on the web. What a glorious app that will be.

Welp there goes any chance I'll ever buy Lebron shoes... Perhaps if I was on a diet requiring I throw up once a day...

"Natty C" is down there in the Bro dredges next to the State Axe guys, and the Bama fans yelling "Boom" in unison after one of their players lays a mediocre hit. I'd rather stare at Lebron's deformed pinky toe for an hour rather than ever reading "natty C" on this blog again. Thank you.

Don't think I'm saying anything inflammatory or offensive, and I'm not inviting a religious commentary, but I do want to share that Tebow confuses me.
My potentially flawed assumptions:
1. The more competitive you are, it is fair to assume the more likely you are to be egocentric. Your will to do your best and to win is more important to you than the will or desires of your competitors.
2. Conversely the more devout you are (especially Tebow's given faith), it is fair to assume the more likely you are to be altruistic (do unto others, etc.).
3. The more egocentric, the less altruistic you can be, and vice versa.
Tebow is legendary for his competitiveness and faith. A friend of mine who is also a man of strong faith, is good friends with Tebow. He told me Tebow is the hardest working and most competitive athlete he has known. The two of them also volunteer in Central America and do a ton of charity work.
I respect Tebow on both counts, but I just don't understand how he exhibits such strong egocentrism and altruism in unison. It just doesn't add up to me.
This leads me to think the above-mentioned assumptions about competitiveness/ faith/ egocentrism/ altruism are inaccurate.

Hate everything about Penn State except that they are in Pennsylvania which isn't such a bad state. Aside from the obvious reasons over the last 5 years, their uniforms are awful, yet admired nationwide.
Admiration for Penn State uniforms makes about as much sense as people admiring an empty canvas as art. "Aaah the simplicity! The cleanliness of it! Undiluted in it's purity!" A roll of toilet paper is more interesting than Penn State's uniforms. The soap dish in my shower has more imagination than whomever designed the Penn State uniforms.
Fuck Penn State.
Then there's the "We Are Penn State" chant. I remember going to a game there in the mid-90's when we were losing to Lavar Arrington and company only to pull it out and crush their souls in the last 10 minutes. I'd never heard the chant until then and it befuddled me.
LIKE NO SH*T YOU ARE PENN STATE Captains of obvious? That's really the best you can do for a chant? State the most obvious thing in the stadium, wearing colorless gear devoid of an ounce of imagination in cheers, team colors, uniforms, etc...
I mean, it would be infinitely more interesting and imaginative if they instead chanted "WE ARE NOT! [INSERT OPPONENT NAME HERE]!" So it could rotate every week.
Seriously the coolest thing about Penn State was Paterno's giant nose, his shades and his flooder slacks. That's it.
Fuuuuuck Penn State.
