|1 day 18 hours ago||Hoke is not an offensive coach.||
He respects and trusts Borges to make the offense go. If you force him to hire an outsider(See GERG) the chances of winning a BIG championship in the next two years(what I would view as Hoke's evaluation period) shrink considerably.
|1 day 18 hours ago||Yes||
He is Brady's guy. One Gerg was more than enough thank you.
|1 day 18 hours ago||Don't worry too much||
The vast majority of the fan base(and our AD) are significantly less reactionary than this blog. Most of us understand the concept of context. Whoa is me x amount of losses against y team isn't quite as daunting in the context of year three following a .400 coach. Just like spouting Hoke's pedestrian pre-Michigan record didn't mean much in the context of him turning crap programs into contenders in 3 or 4 years.
To me, this is probably the last moment of vulnerability before this thing gets rolling, the last chance for the "Unacceptable" crew to screw this thing up. Sorry folks, in context 7 wins is somewhat disappointing....But it isn't a fireable offense. In a couple years it could be. But I'd bet money against such a season occurring.

I signed up for the American Express card that offers free amazon prime for a year and a $50 rebate if you spend $1,000 in the first three months. Then I used it to buy that $988 70" Vizio on Thursday(They finally had one in stock today...that is a long story, but alls well that ends well). Last night I got my electronics-crazed two year old one of the $35 newegg tablets. Today I bought the nieces and nephiews some video games on amazon at a decent savings.

The crowd gave some effort to drown out some buckeye cheers, which was nice to see, but as far as affecting offensive communication...Not even close. It is what it is, and for better or worse what it is is over. Hope springs eternal, and thank God for that.
|3 days 9 hours ago||It just plays into the general consensus||
It just plays into the general consensus(right or wrong) that Brian was going to whine about Borges whatever happened(which yeah, Michigan put up 600 yards today, in the context of the game it was rather silly...and exactly what you'd expect).
|3 days 10 hours ago||In plain English||
People were mean to him on the Internet and it hurt his feelings.
|3 days 10 hours ago||Meh...||
I went back through Brian's tweets looking for something controversial...That bit about OSU's hypothetical manball rushing stats didn't make much sense(As Borges and the OL were inexplicably killing it all game) but that's pretty much par for the course. If I'm handing out blame...30% is on Hoke for not even efforting for the field goal at the end of the first half(stupid), 30% on defensive personnel(youth and Rodriguez recruiting)' and yeah, 40% on Mattison. That read option made him look stupid all day.

I waited in line for two hours for that 70 inch Vizio, got my wristband(which says right on it that it entitles me to purchase within two hours of the event), showed up at the proper time...And they'd sold my TV to someone else. Will never see a dime from me again.
|1 week 2 days ago||With that OL?||
You spend the whole game in shotgun 5 wide and pray that Devin morphs into Aaron Rodgers.
|1 week 3 days ago||It's personnel.||
I don't even blame the coaches. The truth is that that offensive line didn't earn their scholarships this year. They didn't work hard enough in the weight room, they didn't focus enough on the practice field, and they utterly failed to compete on the field of play. It's hard to win when you cannot gain an honest yard(against MAC teams) on a QB sneak. I've been watching Michigan football for 30 years, and I've never witnessed a Michigan line so worthless and weak.
It was this blog's position that Rodriguez could not be blamed for the unprecedented cluster blank that was Threetsheridamnit. It is complete and utter hypocrisy to hold that belief, and at the same time expect Borges to construct any semblance of offense behind that group of matadors.

We've got a great basketball coach. But he's a better man.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||I have to think the turnover helps us||
Few of Iowa State's minutes are going to come from players who contributed last year. This early in the season Pomeroy numbers mean almost nothing. I don't want to jinx it, but the possibility of Michigan running them off the court is there.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||That was my guess||
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Did you watch any||
Did you watch any of those games? Besides Wisconsin, they were a play away from winning all of them.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Ohio State||
Begs to differ
|2 weeks 3 days ago||That's my general feeling||
If he'd have kicked the field goal, people(Brian) would have called him a coward. It takes a special kind of person to bitch about the decision after they've won the game.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I cannot say for sure||
But I suspect(based solely on your comment) that you are either not very smart or a gigantic hypocrite. They won the game.

|2 weeks 3 days ago||Jordan Morgan||
Jordan Morgan got his engineering degree and is working on his Masters...And for most of the school year he is traveling to Nebraska and Pennsylvania mid-week. It can be done, and I've got to believe that with football resources and 12 games(On Saturday no less) its less difficult in football than some sports...Heck, some people work their way through engineering school.

Can I request one with more GR3?

Around the time my kids are freshmen, when the Final Four banners really start to pile up, then we can pick and choose what stays up there.

Some of my finer work if you are at all interested.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||What ever happened||
What ever happened to the Nick Saban to Texas hysteria? Do we think that was just a lot of noise?
|3 weeks 22 hours ago||Weird||
It seems like the secrecy could cause more reluctance than the truth here. He says it doesn't hurt, and he could've played in the exhibition games...Do we think maybe he damaged an internal organ? This kid in my high school ruptured his spleen while dunking. Liver or kidney damage could cause back pain too. Why keep it a secret though? Do they think opponents are going to target the spot, because I've got news for you...Unless they play him at guard, he's going to take contact down there.
|3 weeks 22 hours ago||I was reading about this on umhoops||
Dylan said something, and I missed the original statement. When/how did it come out that McGary might miss the entire non-conference? The only thing I'd heard was McGary's comment that "I wont be in a suit for the Duke game."

I liked this discussion better when Miles was named Tubby Smith.
John Beilein just called...he wants his third year collapse(and ensuing overreaction/panic) back.

More likely we would be living the Kentucky basketball lifestyle...aka...Whoo go team...They're going to keep looking the other way, right? Right?
|3 weeks 2 days ago||A co-worker||
A co-worker was telling me about the early Russian space program. He was telling me about this show "dark science". He claimed that these amateur radio guys kept hearing distress calls. Turns out it was the first Russian astronauts. Reportedly the were just blasting guys up there with no way to get them down. Supposedly the Russians never publicized their space travel until one of the guys lived. Anybody see that program?
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Yeah, that's the ticket||
Or maybe Fitz just needs to use the "x" button more. Definitely one or the other though.
