Nowhere near where that class would be without sanctions.

1 week 4 days ago Hop Cat.

I'm obsessing about how RCMB is going to react to my consuming all of their beer.

1 week 4 days ago Jeebus.

Negged for "moo".

Srsly.

1 week 5 days ago Srsly.

Tired of these endless posts about Sparty fans freaking out on RCMB.

It's all they do. Well, that and write stupid posts

i.e., B1G schools fighting dirty against MSU Football

Started by: Jay Sherbino Pages: 1 | 2 | 3

or

Dude getting freaky with his pet peacock...

...looks exactly like you'd expect him to. http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/dupage-county-roselle-sexual-abuse-...

Started by: Murky Waters

or the coup de grace (with a "would bang" designation)

Teacher Fired Over Bikini Pic

Started by: WeinerMobile Pages: 1 | 2

Fact is, it is common knowledge that RCMB is about reactionary and/or child like posts...so checking their reactions after a supposed 'commit' flips to Michigan is just leading to an obvious outcome.

1 week 5 days ago hmmmmm...

Titles are won on the field, not in recruiting.

This is simplistic.

Titles are not won in recruiting, per se, but they certainly can be lost in that process.

Sparty had an opportunity to lock down a lot of talent during the RichRod slot ninja 3* mafia era but that time has passed. Michigan lost a lot of potential talent and, ultimately, this impacted their competitive position. (Section 1 please leave this analysis alone)

1 week 5 days ago heh.

I must play against them.

1 week 5 days ago I'll second that...

1 week 6 days ago Hmmmmm...

Apparently, Brady Hoke got the message from St. Urban.

Remember this crap? Careful what you wish for...

I always wondered about the so-called rivalry between MSU and Indiana.

I mean, you would so often see that Sparty vitriol directed at SCINdiana

2 weeks 9 hours ago Heh.

After next season he can get a show on TLC

2 weeks 1 day ago hmmmmm

How can you tell that? This is like a mystery to me...

2 weeks 1 day ago heh.

You know it's a legit Ohio scholar athletes from that era now.

edit: I dig the Duron Carter High School ring inclusion. Just. Totally. Random.

2 weeks 4 days ago Hmmmm...

FWIW, TEDx talks are timed and are even shorter than the larger TED events. Depending on where you go I think the maximum is up to 18 minutes and designed for a "smart generalist" audience or something like that.

I think in terms of the nitty gritty he is speaking, at a theoretical and technical level, to application of loading principles that are somewhat atypical in current care paths typically employed in rehab facilities etc. Plus or minus, Brock Mealer's and Chris Williams'  walking does challenge the hegemony of the current "evidence base" in terms of approach to gait/vestibular re-learning and application of the same in practical contexts. Barwis supports intensities that are decidedly different in terms of volume training, load etc.

Barwis does also speak to design principles related to application of his standing frame that enabled loading/off loading and standing (if I was him I'd patent that thing and go to some of the larger academic conferences for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Athletic Training and brand that thing out a bit). I guess it depends on how much nitty and/or gritty you're looking for.

While I'd happily listen to 2 plus hours of highly technical analysis at an anotomical and physiological level and referencing associated neuro function I'm just not sure that the audience at the TEDx is right for that focus.

2 weeks 4 days ago Thanks.

Appreciate the embed. Unsure why I could not embed that in the initial post.

2 weeks 4 days ago Jeebus.

When that Jackass Tom Crean stops magically finding ways for less talented players to move on from their program so he can sign volumes of new and more talented players he can stop being Nick Saban Lite.

Until then, he remains the less successful protege and your alma mater a joke for accommodating the practice.

2 weeks 5 days ago hmmmmm...

How could Dantonio be a stand up guy while laying in the weeds?

3 weeks 1 day ago heh.

That A&M and their corperate focus.

Gig em indeed.

3 weeks 4 days ago heh.

RCMB's gotta be all "come at me brah" just now

3 weeks 5 days ago hmmmmm...

Really? Well...good news.

3 weeks 5 days ago Meanwhile...

3 weeks 5 days ago Good news.

3 weeks 6 days ago it's on the site

Brian:

"Tacopants"? Tacopants is Jason Avant's eleven-foot tall imaginary friend. Chad Henne spent much of 2005 hitting him between the numbers, which are unfortunately eight feet off the ground and made of dreams. Blessed with infinite eligibility and the ability to sneak on and off the field without alerting the referees -- made of dreams, remember -- Tacopants has taken a lesser role in the offense as Henne matures but still pops up at inopportune times. The term has its genesis in this post.

4 weeks 37 min ago heh.

Remember how Belichick looked in Cleveland in the 90's with Testaverde?

That's Belichick without Tom Brady.

4 weeks 57 min ago Hmmmmm....

Speculation does not usually equal causation.

4 weeks 1 hour ago well...

With that NFL signing bonus money he can afford to buy *working* 3D glasses from the movies.

4 weeks 1 hour ago Hmmmmmm...

Now *that* is a good pick. Barkevious Mingo > Ziggy

4 weeks 1 hour ago Ziggy Ansah

I think Tavon Austin might actually be bigger...

Then again, the Lions did get the best soccer player in the draft.

4 weeks 1 hour ago Well...

...it could have been Tavon Austin

4 weeks 1 hour ago hmmmmmm...

Memories of Barkevious Mingo's recruitment to Michigan...

4 weeks 1 hour ago hmmmmmm...

I like Dee Milliner here as a value pick; if his health is good he'd help the Lions for the next six to eight years

4 weeks 1 hour ago heh.

I think Ansah is a reach

Tavon Austin equals the Detroit equivalent of the Sparty couch fire

4 weeks 2 hours ago good point

I had heard about this earlier but figured since they let it slide to the draft it wasn't a go

4 weeks 2 hours ago WTF

Miami needed a tackle.

4 weeks 2 hours ago hmmmmm...

Somehow, I expect the Raiders to totally screw up this next pick.

4 weeks 6 days ago Hmmmmm...

4 weeks 6 days ago damn

You think that stuff is just the province of video games...

4 weeks 6 days ago hmmmm...

Better to have people talking about Michigan and multiple highly ranked players than not.

Nice change from 2009's recruiting.

4 weeks 6 days ago hmmmmmm...

Don't hate us for our NHL talent,  our cultural contibutions (have you had the poutine at Zingerman's?) or our ingenuity (Affleck's movie...that's us who actually pulled that off).

We gave you Yzerman, Pamela Anderson, John Candy, Wayne Gretzky...but also Tom Green (you can keep him).

Close the borders and nobody's drinking in Windsor at 19 either.

Food for thought.

4 weeks 6 days ago heh.

Apparently not Norwegian shipping tunnels involving mountain excavation.

4 weeks 6 days ago FTW

I give you the pretend upvote.

4 weeks 6 days ago agreed.

Also, this would somewhat inhibit the millions of non-violent immigrants, visa holders (such as myself) and people contributing international expertise to your economy/society.

FWIW, everyone living in the United States/Canada...all the families came as immigrants.

4 weeks 6 days ago hmmmmm...

It is interesting to put this in contrast to going to any concert where you can expect the full pat down.

OP,  First off, it's Asperger's Syndrome, named after Dr. Hans Asperger who discovered the diagnosis and most recently folded into the diagnostic criteria for Autism in the most recent revision of the DSM. It used to be it's own illness. I'm sure your relative is an interesting individual with a series of unique, sterotypical special interests and perhaps some social interactive difficulties.

Regardless of illness status, however, you probably should support the guy not to be smuggling items into the stadium. It's dangerous and if he gets caught you'll lose your seat access. Given the situation at Boston and the fact that we all know Dave Brandon creeps the MGoBlog threads then you know this sort of thing will somehow be monitored over the coming year.

FWIW, I find downtowns in most big cities a more immediate threat than showing up in Ann Arbor, parking, eating breakfast at Zingerman's and then walking down to the stadium.

I wish I could neg the premise of this post by the OP more than once. Clearly you miss the impact of the Fab 5 or you weren't alive to understand it.

If you were alive and in Ann Arbor in 1993 you'd understand the importance of the Fab 5 and their legacy. It was an unbelievable time with a decades long impact. You can hate the aftermath, the sanctions, the Amaker years as a response and all associated with the Webber/Martin issues. Nonetheless, the status and impact of the Fab 5 is immeasurable to both the university and culturally. The Fab 5 movie touched on this a bit but fell short of what it was really like. The Fab 5 remain relevant to modern era kids.

That the Fab 5 felt it important to get together as friends to support this year's team, to fly in, to buy tickets and to attend the game is indicative of their commitment to this year's team. Support from former athletes and alumni is not a bad thing.

OP your premise is ridiculous.

Probably worth it when they win. Have a good time.

I have been to Fox and Hound on Spruce several times during my tenure in Philly. I am surprised that the choice for meeting location was not Cavanaugh's Rittenhouse which is nicer, imho.

10 weeks 6 days ago hmmmmmm...

I agree EA wins on the attention end of things.

That said, once the rampant cheating gets involved then it morphs from a one click/one vote scenario to a competition between the computer savvy at both schools and the relative enthusiasm of those individuals to control the vote and, ultimately, the narrative.

While I don't necessarily support cheating in most endeavors I look the other way when, on rare occasion, a Michigan lineman holds.

I see this more or less the same way...when TAM involved the cheating at a computer science level they started tugging on superman's cape....ask ESPN.

This latter comment offends me since, of late, I've been getting my Michigan gear at Meijer.

13 weeks 2 days ago Hmmmmm...

This is sort of interesting...last month Cristobal was referenced as a potential candidate for the Temple job in Philly (ultimately given to former assistant Matt Rhule) so I heard a lot about him.

Given he took FIU to their only two bowl games and re-upped with them for five years after he had been offered the Rutgers job he seems like a pretty loyal guy. There are probably worse places to rehabilitate your coaching credentials than Alabama, right Bobby Williams?

13 weeks 3 days ago hmmmmm...

FWIW, my dad (also not a Habs fan) but lived in the era when the Habs were totally dominant and he argues, vociferously, that Doug Harvey was the best player not only on those Montreal teams (that included Beliveau, Plante, both Richards etc.) but of all time.

There's room here for debate, I suspect.

As for Jerry Buss...I thought he was cool on High Stakes Poker; I can only imagine how he was earlier in life.

13 weeks 3 days ago heh.

Howie Morenz was good enough to carry them on his own by all reports.

13 weeks 3 days ago heh.

I knew it would, as ever on MGB come down to the Wings argument...

My point is that Lindsay, Abel, Howe Lidstrom Sawchuk and other Wings defenseman would have to give a game to:

option a:  Lafleur/Shutt/Cornouyer/Savard/Robinson/Dryden;

option b: Richard (Rocket), Richard (Pocket Rocket), Beliveau, Ferguson, Harvey, Plante;

option c: Lemaire, Geoffrion, Lach, LaPerriere, Lapointe, Worsley

option d: Savard, D, Olmstead, Mahovolich, Langway, Bouchard, Roy

option e: Morenz, Blake, Moore, Reardon, Laviolette, Vezina

option f: Gilmour, O'Connor, Drillon, Hall, Cleghorn, Durnan...

You could put together three or four more with just their HOF players...

At one line a team might come close to matching...at four no way, at six plus c'est impossible

As to Richard, I don't think just the talent (though he is easily in the conversation with Gretzky, Lemieux. etc..) but his cultural impact is still felt in Quebec to this day. the 'Richard Riot' in 1955 changed the cultural landscape of Quebec and Canada.

13 weeks 3 days ago Hmmmmmm....

Why didn't they think of this pre tat gate?

One wonders UFR how messed up that was...

13 weeks 3 days ago Justin

The all time Habs teams would comprise three rosters...they have 60 players plus in the Hall of Fame...I've been ther and they own the place. It is not a question of one roster...they could fill almost three full teams just with their HOF players.

Do you pick HOFs Lafleur, Richard, Cornouyer, Geoffrion, Shutt or Lemaire at forward? Savard, Harvey, Langway or Robinson on defender? Roy, Plante, Dryden or Worsley in net? Their teams go on and on with HOF level depth.

I hate them but I acknowledge greatness. No other team in hockey is remotely their measure and only the most myopic of homer wouldn't give them the credit they deserve.

13 weeks 3 days ago Real Doctor all day.

Smart guy...allegedly also one hell of a gambler and high stakes poker player.
