As a player? The two

As a player? The two victories over the Bucknuts in 1985 and 1986 with the win over Miami (Fl.) in 1984 coming in third. As a coach? He hasn't delivered that big AH-HA signature win yet for me.

Wild Win

Nice win. On the recap - what's up with all of the "would" language? Would walk. Would score. Would go 1-2-3 to end the game.....why not: Walked. Scored. Went 1-2-3 to the end game. Passive vs active.

Kickoffs

How about when your "field goal" kicker can't kick off straight and hits two straight kickoffs in the fourth quarter out of bounds during an attempted comeback vs the Hawkeyes, killing all comeback momentum. Don't downplay the kicking game. It played a role in RichRod's demise. Last year brought back visions of 1979 when we had a FG kick blocked that could have beat ND and a punt blocked that cost us the season-ending game vs Ohio State. Embarrassing.

Coaching job I have not been impressed with the coaching job of this team all year. Ill prepared. Can't attack a trap. Can't play defense (see Boston College game), ect. I thought our coach was one of the "gurus" out there?
Bad Feeling That the Twins are going to get the last laugh. I hope not but I don't have a good feeling.
Bob Ufer Growing up as a kid, my parents would often take us out for Saturday afternoon bike rides in the fall. We always had a transistor radio along that my mother would have playing frrom the front of her bike - and always - on Saturday afternoons - we had on the inimitable tones of Bob Ufer - complete with the George Bo Patton Schembechler scoring horn. That horn went off more times than not with Rick Leach scoring early and often during those days. My mother's youngest brother was in grad school at U-M during that era, gaining his Ph.D in toxicology. Now works for a big international chemical firm. He (my uncle) got us tickets for a handful of games back then. Rick Leach, Anthony Carter, ect. it was great. As a kid, I couldn't believe how big the stadium was. I was awestruck. And with Bob Ufer to bring it all to life like no other broadcaster could on Saturdays when I didn't make it to games, I was hooked for life. Go Blue!
