My initial thoughts on the blanket immunity issue were the same but this is now a full ‘risk-reward’ scenario in the face of a crumbling NCAA. If the NCAA is all about the dollars and I think they are then why not keep a golden goose? Yes the NCAA might take it in the shorts in the media but ultimately they are in a much better position with Harbaugh than without him even with him stirring the pot on a regular basis. The only wrinkle here is my assumption that the NCAA has the brain of a functioning human being. Just to clarify, I think Harbaugh finishes his career in Ann Arbor
This makes so much sense. This statement from the long standing de facto cornerstone of this university says what we’ve known all along about the culture of this university. It was never Tucker or even Dantonio despite the same shit show over and over. It was and always has been Tom Izzo. He’s the architect of the shit show commonly known as MSU…Go White and Go Green
I keep hearing all this nonsense about 'Iggy'. Please...the guy isn't the second coming of Lamar Ball. He's a FRESHMAN!!!!. !. So...he'll need at least 3 more years here before he even thinks about the draft
I remember when I started school at the University of Michigan... I had grown up in Manhattan Beach, CA and always looked at Michigan football as being a dominating force. I sat in my seat at Michigan stadium and watched them dominate. Nothing fazed me. "So what", I shrugged...they're Michigan. For the first time since in almost forever I've got that feeling back and with Michigan trailing early in the game last night I sat back and shrugged...brought me right back to 1st St and the Strand
Took my 6 week old son to the USC OU game and I've got one piece of advice...breast feed. We made it mid way through the fourth quarter. Yes...my wife went with us
Wlax not surprising at all. In the past 4 years Ulehla missed on at least 4 very good womens lax players from west Michigan. Two are All-Americans (DII and DIII), one is at Northwestern and another is at Maryland. Hell, the Northwestern coach made her name by taking athletes and teaching them the game. Too bad she never got in her car and drove to Grand Rapids
But...if the head coach, 4 years ago, had aggressively recruited in west Michigan (2 All-Americans playing for other schools) things might have been different. Still...Go Blue and take a drive to the west side
MSU has good players
MSU players have been quitting the last few weeks
MSU didn't quit today and the game was semi-competitive
MSU will get completely rolled next year...mark my words
The USPSTF committee that made this determination did NOT have a urologist on its panel. PSA, for the most part, can be used incorrectly which leads to too many biopsies and an over diagnosis of prostate cancer. Everyone should have an initial PSA at age 35. If it's less than 1 repeat in 5 years. If it's greater than 1 repeat in one year. If there's a family history (first degree relative) consider a multiparameyric MRI or a biopsy. Fee for service healthcare incentivized unnecessary biopsies
New Netflix mockumentary coming about sports mascots by Chris Guest and Fred is in it. he's been in most of these and they are wonderful. Waiting for Guffman is classic
The reality is/was that almost all of these kids took 'stuff' and they knew it wasn't right. The people extending the offers continue to be the real problem
The process works both ways. I can call you or you can call me. It depends who has the perceived upper hand. The real culprit here is the system and the NCAA needs to act in a thoughtful manner to protect both parties. We will all act, or most of us, within the confines of the system. Doctors do it all the time. They act within the confines of the system to the ultimate detriment to the patient. Trust me...I'm a doctor
but since it's approaching $1 billion I'm gonna buy 10 tickets. And giving this whole thing some serious consideration I've come to realize that this behavior is akin to standing on my tip-toes to get a better look at the moon...
I'm gettin' the image. Slippers? Yeah...slippers. Hat? Yeah...hat on and brim forward. Probably an old block M standard. Glasses? Definitely...cheaters from Target. Cigarette with a one inch ash and a rocks glass with two fingers of something expensive. "Damn...you were good, brother"
