Two complaints:

Two major complaints from last night:

1.) Under center way more than we should have been, particurarly in the first half. (Didn't we learn that last year the first three quarters vs Notre Dame?)

2.) The Vincent Smith call was stupid. I think it was first down? We should not have our back up RB throwing passes in the red zone.

Haha...

Forgive me, please. B.S. in Policital Science...... but graduated in three years if that goes for anything with my mathematical errors. Regardless: our linebackers > State's linebackers.

Even more...

Ferns > Drake < Bolden, Stone, Ross, and maybe even Gedeon.

And isn't that great news...

... And that is great news because I just bought my $30 tickets on StubHub for the Purdue game.

Do we have to?

Do we have to go through this every year with Denard? Last year after the State game everyone wanted Gardner to start. Last year after the Iowa game everyone wanted Gardner to start...

Then Denard went out and torched Nebraska, dominated Ohio, and helped us win the Sugar Bowl. Now after two rough performances against the #1 and #10 team in the nation you want to start who... Russell Bellomy? Some of you have to get real. Denard has nearly 10,000 yards and 90 career TD's.

Learn to appreciate those numbers and the fact that we are still in good shape to play in Indianapolis.

The good thing...

The rest of the B1G can barely beat MAC teams and we've been tested with the toughest four game stretch in America. 9-3 and a B1G Championship are still for the taking.

As noted before...

I think the best seats are anything from 30-50. I've never sat higher than that but may try this year for the Iowa game.

B1G:

B1G: Where Michigan and Ohio State will dominate for the next ten years.

Did anyone...

Did anyone notice in the first half that the H-back went in motion towards the line of scrimmage at least three times as the ball was about to be snapped? How is that not illegal motion?

2011...

2011 week 1....... USC 18 vs Minnesota 15..... I think USC was fine and well, Minnesota was Minnesota.

Simple... Every year...

C - MTSU or Troy

C - Vanderbilt or Kentucky

C - Notre Dame LOL

C - Boston College or Colorado

Those Roses

Those older Rose Bowl jerseys are sweet if I do say so myself.

Bo Dever and Dan Gibbs...

I think Bo Dever and Dan Gibbs have a shot to see the field in some capacity one day.

Have to go on this rant...

I love the University of Michigan. Sports, academics, tradition, prestige and everything that comes with it. But good God people - stop complaining. It's not 1907 anymore. Some of you would still complain about switching to real helmets over leather if you could.

Uniforms,

I like them.

My school also...

Just graduated in May. Brandon should schedule MTSU in the near future instead of the Akron's of the world lol.

Just looking at the depth chart breakdown...

We now currently sit at 86 players for 2013. We are still looking to take 3 or 4 guys. That would put us at 89 or 90.

When looking at the breakdown, I don't see a single position besides maybe LB where we could not renew a fifth year senior. Honestly, I think attrition of 4 or 5 will be pretty high especially with family atmosphere Hoke has instilled.

I just hope we don't get negged for "oversigning" and have 87 or 88 players when next fall rolls around.

I know...

I know we had apparently told him LB recruiting was full, but if OSU doesn't like it - a name that could surface is Alex Anzalone again. That would defintely not be thrilling news for Ohio. Green would be my best guess, however.

Is...

Is Kyle Bosch enrolling early? Thought he was.

Well...

Well, as stated before - the strip clubs here do suck. Three foot rule at all the ones in Nashville. But, 2nd ave is a great time. Best bet is to go bar hopping for a while. Red Rooster, Cadillac Ranch, Centerstage, all those places are a good time.

The locals will definitely help you out down here also. It'll be good to see even more Wolverine fans in the Middle Tennessee area. We're actually fairly well represented.

He will

He will have a great shot in Tennessee. They've needed someone to be productive for the Haynesworth departure a couple years ago. Their D-Line hasn't been good or healthy the last couple of years.

Reverse the Curse...

I voted MEGATRON! A cursed year for him is what: 65 catches, 1100 yards, and only 10 TD's?

Shane...

Shane confirmed that his offer is from Alabama. According to 247 that would give him offers from Auburn, Alabama, and Michigan State among others. He also said to Tom "I don't report any of them," in reference to his offers he's received. There goes OSU fans argument that "Morris is overrated, look at his offer sheet."

and...

Also, he caught that over Talbott. If I had to guess, Floyd, Countess, Avery and perhaps one other will be on the field in that situation.

Please Kansas

Please Kansas, please win. Living in SEC country is already bad enough with football. Please don't force me into listening about SEC basketball now.

Alternates...

The alternates better be in the game this year.

People always ask me..

People always ask me who my favorite Wolverine that I've seen play in my lifetime is. I'm 21 and Denard will definitely be in the discussion with Charles Woodson, Braylon, Mike Hart, Woodley, Brady/Henson, and a few others.

Not a huge deal at this point..

This is not a huge deal right now. If Devin can play WR - great. We all know he can play the QB position also if needed. FWIW, the only video we have access to, there is one clip of DG, and he is throwing a pass in it.

First practice video

First practice video.......... and we have a discussion about helmet stickers? Let's talk about the tight spirals Denard was actually throwing or something pertinent to performance come September 1st.

From reading...

From reading the previous comments, everyone is trying to blame one particular person and everyone is naming someone different. Why don't we just go ahead and agree it was a TEAM loss and most everyone had a bad night in some phase (scoring, defense, rebouning)...

All were equally bad in certain instances for the most part.

May have missed this earlier...

Might have missed this earlier, but can someone enlighten me on how Cox is going to be eligible this season? If Umass is playing in the MAC this season, then he would be transferring within FBS football (one year sit out period).

I understand that he can go the graduate school route and take a major that "is not offered." I just have a hard time believing that he can somehow find a decent grad school program that Umass has that Michigan doesn't offer?

Not very likely

Not likely at all, but not impossible if they can get on at a camp and maybe win a practice squad part.

Depth wise yes..

Depth wise, yes it hurts us at center to lose Khoury. However, I think if Barnum can play center, we can find a guard out of Mealer, Bryant, Kalis, or even Bars.

I hope not.

I really hope he doesn't go to St. Louis. He would fit in well with Suh and Tulloch in Detroit.

Cortland Finnegan...

I love both the Titans and Lions and I can honestly say that Finnegan is a great player. You love him on your team, hate him on any other. He's feisty and aggressive. Hope he stays in TN or goes to Detroit. Only visit he has planned I saw was St. Louis?

Check it out...

http://michiganstate.247sports.com/Board/Michigan-State-Spartans-Message-Board-Forum-93 Enjoy the MSU tears once again tonight. More posts about why Michigan gets to share the title then why they blew the game and big lead they had.

Yeah so ...

Yeah, so Urban was able to flip all of Penn State's commits and get lifelong Buckeye fans like Adolphus Washington (whom Hoke wasn't even recruiting after October) to commit. Armani Reeves was our only big loss head to head. Big deal. I will bask in the glory of tonight of having 8 of the top 225 locked up already for 2013.

Simple question?

Would I be considered a "Wal Mart Wolverine" to them since I was accepted to Michigan but couldn't afford the out of state tuition? Sad story considering most of my family lives in Ypsi or Novi. The older I get, the more I hate the Sparties of East Lansing.

True...

I dare anyone to come and try to drive in Murfreesboro, TN. I don't even think cars come equipped with blinkers around here. Common sense isn't highly regarded around here either.

Personally...

I'd love to see a night game against them next season. This is the game I want to come to all the way from Tennessee, and it would be even better at night.

Let's all

Let's all start a Rich Rodriguez thread about every recruit he signed today. That would be fun.

Disappointment

It's disappointing that we went 11-2 and haven't turned it into momentum on the recruiting trail... One thing that makes it better -- last year we were hoping to make it into the top 25 of recruiting. This year, we're disappointed that we might land in the 4-6 range. Which is where Michigan should always be!

Schutt

Schutt is the one who asked to visit and we respectfully declined I think. Henry's highlight video is rather impressive though. Looks like a high motor kid.

SEC vs B1G Matchup

I know many people are saying they would've rather seen a B1G vs SEC scheduling pact, but that is just unrealistic because I highly doubt the SEC wants to travel north of Kentucky on a regular basis. As is noted in every single bowl game they play being in their own backyard.

What?

You do realize that a 6'7 gunslinger named Ryan Mallet would've just graduated from Michigan last year if anyone not named Rodriguez was the head coach. And I can assure you he would have led us to more than 15 wins by himself in the last three years (along with the other 62 transfers we had).

Maybe Lou is wrong

Maybe Lou is wrong, maybe we will will eleven games instead of nine or ten. Just a positive way to look at things.

I...

I attend Middle Tennessee and wouldn't be surprised one bit if we beat Purdue. We would've beat Minnesota last season if our QB hadn't been suspended. I was hoping to see MT play Michigan in my college career. Hope to be at U of M's Grad school next year (with in-state tuition) since the rest of my family just moved back to Ypsilanti. Go Blue!
