I think you're exactly right…

I think you're exactly right about McCord being the best option for 24. He would have the benefit of more time on task and experience is the best teacher. They lost by 6 at our place and if you take away that first pick then it's a whole new ball game. Their loss for real!

All 3 of the incoming PAC-12…

All 3 of the incoming PAC-12 schools should be breaking in new QB's. We probably will be too though . . .

I agree. Stroud was very,…

I agree. Stroud was very, very good and really made them into the best version of themsleves. I think they take a step back this year for multiple reasons with QB being one of the biggest reasons followed by offensive line play.

Not sure I've ever wanted Notre Dame to win more than this year, and in that game. I hope they pass for 400+ yards and score 40+ points. Give those OSU defensive commits something to think about early and then beat them late and watch some of their defensive staff be shown the door!

Obviously huge news for team…

Obviously huge news for team #144!

To me this is also clear evidence that Harbaugh will be back. No way Corum decides to come back for another year if you are unsure of the leadership you will be playing for.

Wisconsin now with 7…

Wisconsin now with 7 departures.

We live in a time where you…

We live in a time where you have to produce quite early . . . even if at Colorado. He better hire a great staff.

Not like the PAC-12 is a bunch of world beaters, but this is going to be a tough job and time will tell if he has the stomach for it. I think this will be tough for him because he will get attention and headlines, but if he's losing it ceases to be fun. He's got a history of creating headlines but also controlling the narrative to a large degree. Losing doesn't always allow for that.

The statement of you get…

The statement of you get what you pay for has an entirely new meeting!

And this on the heels of Harbaugh donating his bonus back to the athletic department. Someone’s going to be fired for this, and it won’t be Mel Tucker.

The Lions should spend not…

The Lions should spend no time on the clock and take Hutchinson. The talent differential if any will be very small, but what the Lions NEED desperately is a continuation of a culture change and Aidan brings that quality in spades as we saw last year.

Editorial Sidenote: The need for not only talent level, but a culture and professionalism investment from teams is going to become increasingly prevalent throughout all sports. Getting the best "player" is not what it used to be . . . looking at you Brooklyn Nets!

Go Loyola!

Go Loyola!

Referencing his level of…

Referencing his level of competition, it's not Southern California with the talent pool, but he plays in a very physical league that should translate to Michigan very well. If you aren't familiar with the area the catholic league is very physical and very competitive and they spend half the year killing each other before going into the playoffs. Mount Carmel, Montini, Brother Rice, are perennial good teams that churn out talent. Nazareth who they play is where JJ McCarthy was from before going to IMG because of Covid in Illinois. WR Tyler Morris who is a 22 recruit is also from Nazareth.

This kid is going to be one where we look back in a few years and know we hit a home run with getting him in the fold!

Good to know that they know,…

Good to know that they know, even though they of course knew that before any of us.

I think Brian summed this up well earlier in the week, but the elephant in the room is not that JJ gives a better chance this week or next but when do they say it's go time.

I am just hoping that the answer is not just put him in if and when we get down and need to sling it around. I personally think he has to have a more expanded role this week for in order for us to win, and that is certainly the case for at least 2 more games remaining on the schedule.

From what I've read and seen…

From what I've read and seen Tomlin is a well respected dude both in his organization and around the league. Good for him and the Steelers that he feels that way about his job . . . . with that being said, any interest in Deeeetroit Lions?!?!?

If true this is a positive…

If true this is a positive development, WIN!

To clarify, I'm not saying…

To clarify, I'm not saying it's the biggest/most personally disappointing game in Harbaugh's tenure (Iowa, OSU 2016), or the games you want to win the most (MSU and OSU). And yes, the next game on the schedule is the biggest.

I'm thinking that a win over Wisconsin is a big win, at a much needed time given the current state of the program, that gives us the confidence we desperately need to change the arrow going forward. It propels us to victory over other upcoming opponents, and hopefully sets us up for a winner goes to the title game battle with OSU at the end of the year.

It's all about timing!

Thanks I got that one but I Thanks I got that one but I meant the second song the one that he really liked!?!?
What song is that that you What song is that that you like so much?
What's the name of the one he What's the name of the one he was dancing to???
Remember Le'Veon Bell

Le'Veon Bell while at MSU was listed as an inch or two taller and basically the same weight (237). I personally think that if Hoke could have picked one RB in the BIG that he could have had on his team it would have been Bell. That would seem to be the prototyical body type that he would love to give the ball too like 25-30-times per game. After going through 2 a days and all the conditioning Green will be around 230-235 and hopefully eating LB's and DB's!!!

It has been mentioned already

It has been mentioned already but it all depends on where you're recruiting base is. Oklahoma recruits Oklahoma and Texas, Wisonsin recruits Wisconsin, Chicago, and Ohio while Nebraska recruits Nebraska??? They used to draw quite a bit from Texas but with the recent move to the BIG that has changed.

I guess I should specify. No,

I guess I should specify. No, UTEP isnt going to have a (great) top ten class but many schools pull off something I would call above their average class every so often. Look at Ole Miss last year with getting four, yes four 5-star kids to sign, and eight 4-star kids to sign . . . that would be a great class. Do you really think thats going to happen for the next several years? Probably not. My point is most schools can do something special in a year, but to year after year get that pull is what is the difference maker in creating long term success.

disclaimer - no, star ratings dont always equal on the field success or stardom, but most of this board, myself included would be telling a lie if they said we didnt like the star ratings bump that we have enjoyed over the last 2.5 recruiting cycles. More often than not stars mixed with good coaching equals alot of wins.

Where did you find this??

Where did you find this??

I personally think that if

I personally think that if all four were going to leave (Burke, THJ, Mitch, and GRIII) we would have seen more offers go out by now. We have Walton and Irvin to replace Burke and Hardaway, and to me those are nice replacement pieces to have.

Why was he banned?? Why was he banned??
At that size Butt should be At that size Butt should be playing at around 240 this fall which is great size! Taco should be around 275 which is great as well. I would assume both get time this fall!!
Coach Brown at the MBlock has

Coach Brown at the MBlock has a bit of info for you.

Everybody but Trey should come back The more I watch this team the more it sticks out the Trey Burke will be gone at the end of the year. Other than that, everyone should come back because they are not ready.
McGary is Going to be good Yes he had some mistakes defensively tonight but but he is a guy that's only going to get better, and I think a lot better. He is consistent because his work ethic is consistent. At this stage of his career his game is very dependent on being an energy player and he does very well with that. I think as he gets into a college weight room and then continues to work on his game with some finesse he is going to be very very good.
I agree with what you're I agree with what you're saying. This reminds me of a couple years ago and even last year when thinking about Tim Hardaway Junior. Yes, he has NBA potential but he does not have NBA quality play right now. Which by the way I still think that about tomorrow away. He just turns the ball over too much and is not as consistent with this game. That's why Trey Burke looks so good out there because his one-on-one game is that much better than everyone else's. Not hating on any of these kids as they are still kids but it's just an honest assessment of where I think there.
Robinson should be back Not sure how this is going to go over with the rest of you, but Glenn Robinson III has no business going anywhere next year. I think he has a lot of potential but there's no way he is near being ready to play at the next level. He is at his best rebounding and put backs, open jumpshots from other people's penetration, running the floor for easy transition baskets, and playing off other people. His individual offense is quite undeveloped. Don't get me wrong, I think he still has a bright future but he has alot of work to do if he wants to play in the league. The league is all about individual offense and your ability to get your own shot that's not what he does well right now.
I'll not let the cat out of

I'll not let the cat out of the bag, but Parrker really likes Michigan. I work at BHS where Parrker attends HS, and over the last several months he only sports Michigan gear. You can read into that statement what you want, but for Parrker its all about when not if.

This line was brought in by a

This line was brought in by a different coach to play a different system. Yes, I know they are running pretty much the same running stuff, but its being coached by guys that are not experts or fans of the system. Also we have to remember that because of the RR recruiting issues we have no depth, and its not like Mealer, Omomeh, or even Barnum were even close to being All-Americans who were going to really do great things at Mich. Please dont take that to mean I dislike them, but the Offensive line has the longest way to go of any position group at Mich. Hoke knew/knows that, and our desire to take 10 plus scholarship lineman in the last two classes is proof of that. Yes we needed numbers at the position, but just as important is the fact that we needed a huge upgrade in talent.

Good post, easy answer,

Good post, easy answer, Kovacs. He has been solid over the last 2-3 years and his leadership has been most valuable. His team sees this as well as he is a Captain.

Question for Aquaman

Aqua, did this kid jsut come out of nowhere?? Have not heard much of this kid in our 2014 line recruiting. With the way things have gone recruiting wise do you think that if Ward does drop this weekend or even in the next couple weeks that, that puts some pressure on Florida OL Mason Cole?? Cole is visiting this weekend as well, wants to make an early commit, and has favored UM from the start. Just curious to get your thought on Cole and his recruitment.

Green doesnt look so bad with

Green doesnt look so bad with those gloves!

It's easy this year we need

It's easy this year we need OSU to win. MSU is the only competition in our division. They lose and its good for us.

His name is Sheldon Day, we

His name is Sheldon Day, we wanted him pretty bad, and he was once rumored to be a soft lean. He was at Hoke's first Spring Game.

According to the

According to the preason hypometer Pudue probably has the second or third best d-line in the conference behind MSU and OSU.So whatever thats worth when looking at ND's game against them.

Sparty gonna Spart

truth hurts . . . suck it up sparty

If a new coach gets canned

If a new coach gets canned two games in that says way more about the head coaches inability to be able to hire a competant coach than the O-line ocach himself. Bret said in the B10 meetings that this could be the best line he has ever had????

Last night sucked but there

Last night sucked but there seems to be a lot of things that are fixable, and Bama is really really good . . . again. I think we will look so much better next week no matter who would be playing.

fumbleruski!!!

fumbleruski!!!

Tom Dienhart said he asked

Tom Dienhart said he asked Jerry Montgomery who would start at Dline and he said Black, Campbell, Washington, and Roh. No mention of Beyer nad I did not see him in any of the clips of practice. Revsine also said that Ojemudia was getting a ton of reps with the ones . . . am  I missing something about Beyer??

he should go to Zona,

he should go to Zona, guarenteeeed time!

I do remember Brian foaming

I do remember Brian foaming at the mouth when the Hoke thing went down. It's a good reminder that even our fearless leader has moments of . . . I probably should have not said that!!

woooooow . . .Roy is hurt?

woooooow . . .Roy is hurt? where did this come from??

This is a perefect summation

This is a perefect summation of the way recruiting has been going the last year or two, and what will seemingly/hopefully keep happening in the future. Both MSU and MICH get a commit today who both project to LB.

Byron Bullough - The last of the Bulloughs, 6'1" 205 S/RB in high school but projects to LB in college. When all said and done a 3-star program guy. MICH offer? No.

Michael Ferns -  One of the highest rated LB's in the Midwest, and possibly the nation, offers from everyone (MSU offer? YES). Will probably be a high 4-star, but could end up as a 5-star if everything works well for him (according to Tremendous).

Not trying to make something out of nothing and I know they already landed Drake Harris, but it just struck me as the perfect situation to describe the state of recruiting these days.

Anyone know how many kids we

Anyone know how many kids we are projected to take in this class??

Great way to start off the

Great way to start off the 2014 class. I would not be surprised if we get one or two more this month now that the first guy has dropped!! The hardest thing to do is to get that first guy.

I think TR is our start next

I think TR is our start next year . . . GGGRRRRRR get out of the way!!!
