| 11 weeks 20 hours ago | Also a side note |
Just a side note on this, I ordered one last night and did the two day shipping and it actually shipped out today. It'll be here on Wednesday. I just didn't want to chance it not arriving before the weekend. MDen had some good selection. Hope that helps! |
| 11 weeks 2 days ago | Tons of tickets! |
A buddy of mine is down there and said that all the Kansas fans are in the area this morning trying to sell their tickets. I'd head towards the area of the stadium and see what you can get. I would venture to guess they wouldn't be asking for much either. Good luck! |
| 11 weeks 2 days ago | You know it's going to be a great game... |
You gotta know it's going to be a great game (and a Wolverine win) when we even got the most anti-Big Ten analyst (except maybe Charles Barkley) to pick Big Blue today. I was watchign SportsCenter this morning and caught that Bruce Pearl is picking us to beat Florida! Hail! Oh and Fuck Florida! |
| 12 weeks 3 days ago | Work pool |
Have a pool of about 45 of us at the office and I'm currently sitting pretty in 3rd place after tonight's games. 7 of my 8 elite 8 teams left. I sure could use those $450! |
| 12 weeks 4 days ago | Another good thing about time |
While I know that Saturday is one ticket, I have a feeling that more MSU fans would stay AFTER their game to boo us and be typical assholes but I have a good feeling that less will come before halftime of our game. But I have a good feeling that we'll play well regardless. Hail! |
| 12 weeks 5 days ago | Somewhere |
Somewhere tonight, Commissioner Slive's is drinking himself to obvilion and I'm LOVING IT! SUCK IT, SEC! |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | I'm with you |
I'm with you on that Don, except for the drop off from a 5 seed to a 6 seed this year is pretty steep. That's one of the bonuses this year with getting a 3 over a 4. I would much rather play UNLV, Pitt (again), VCU, or Notre Dame than Okie State, St, Louis, UCLA, or Arizona. Just sayin'... |
| 13 weeks 2 days ago | lol No Joke |
No kidding when I say that I had a dream (more of a nightmare) last night after one too many Jameson shots, that we drew Davidson in the first round. Auburn Hills would be great, drawing Davidson would not be so great. I'd be cool with New Mexico St. or Iona. |
| 13 weeks 3 days ago | My bad |
That was a typo on my part. KC and Auburn Hills are pretty close to the same distance but Auburn Hills is technically closer for Wisconsin. Will be interesting to see what the committee does with that. |
| 13 weeks 3 days ago | Not necessarily true |
There is just as likely a chance that Wisconsin ends up in Dayton or St. Louis. In fact, St. Louis is actually almost 100 miles closer to Madison than Auburn Hills. Just throwing that out there. |
| 13 weeks 3 days ago | Agreed! |
And dare I say the resemblance to the Tommy Amaker situation is kind of similar (granted we have much more basketball history, recruiting advantages, etc. than Northwestern). I'd love nothing more than to see Carmody go to a mid-major and tear that s#?@ up! He deserves it after this run in Evanston! Hail |
| 14 weeks 1 day ago | Don't know who that is... |
I'm usually pretty good pointing out Big Ten refs but I dunno who the f#?$ that little ass bald white dude is that keeps making all these awful calls but good lord! It's like these refs are trying to give this game to Indiana!! Even getting in the way of a ball going out of bounds! That guy was clearly just standing there like a f!?#ing idiot. I am not one to bitch about officiating but today is just awful... |
| 14 weeks 2 days ago | Agreed! |
I just don't get it! I mean, how many lucky shots does one team make?! Here's hoping we meet them in the BTT and that luck runs out. I'd love nothing more than to celebrate St. Pat's weekend with Jameson and seeing Bo Ryan's head explode. |
| 14 weeks 4 days ago | Just throwing this out there.... |
Something I was considering at work today....if MSU loses today and has an early loss in the Big Ten tourny, I've had to think there is a decent chance they fall to the 4 seed line in the NCCA touranment, which if I understand correctly, would make them unprotected in regards to seeding location. I'd love to not have all of those MSU fans in the stands, cheering against us while they get shipped DC or LA. Looking at our home vs. road record, the less fans cheering against us the better! Any thoughts on this? |
| 15 weeks 1 day ago | Amen! |
Agreed....was great to see he spittin' some fire! Hopefully we get a few calls in the 2nd half. Hail! |
| 15 weeks 6 days ago | Come on ROCKY TOP! |
Two minutes left until Florida's chance for #1 seed is officially over! |
| 16 weeks 3 days ago | Could it be?? |
My god, is Miami's luck FINALLY running out?!?! They have two good wins (home against MSU and Duke) and perhaps an away game at NC State but have had luck on their sides for the past few weeks. COME ON DEMON DECONS!! |
| 17 weeks 6 days ago | From the horses mouth |
As a HR Generalist, I'd let it slide today. I'm tempted to encourage it but I like my job too much! Hail |
| 18 weeks 2 days ago | What's even more frustrating |
What's even more frustrating to me is...with this shot today, you add in Gasser (or however the f you spell his name) and Evan Turner's shot a few years back, that's 3 loses on a buzzer beater bs 3 point shot. When was the last time WE made one of those? Had a chance againist OSU a few weeks ago and no go, had a chance at Arkansas last year...again, no go. Had another shot against Duke in the tourney two seasons ago, that didn't drop. I could go on and on with close loses by us but when was the last time we won on a buzzer beater in a big game!? Blah...I'm headed to the casino tonight to drink and drop some money in my sorrows. Hail! |
| 18 weeks 5 days ago | I'll be there |
I use to manage a bar less than a block from the stadium, can't wait to see the Maize and Blue from the bleachers at Wrigley! Hail! |
| 22 weeks 2 days ago | Slow starts...WTF?? |
I know it's been brought up by a few in this post as well as other posts the past few weeks but what is up with these slow starts?! I mean, other than the Northwestern game, the other three games in Big Ten play have had just horrible starts to the game. I'd love to say that this will only cost us a game or two this season but I'm not so sure anymore. 1 game, ok...two games, eek...three games, folks, we have a trend. And it's a trend that has got to stop! Are teams just amped to play us? Are we overly excited and get sloppy? Are we asleep? Curious on your thoughts...Hail! |
| 22 weeks 5 days ago | What a bday present |
Michigan vs Huskers, Green disses Auburn, and Taylor is coming back??!!! Not to mention, had my yearly review at work today. 7% raise coming my way in March. BEST....BIRTHDAY...EVER!! Hail from across the lake! |
| 23 weeks 4 days ago | Was at the game tonight |
Was a great showing by the maize and blue on the court and in the stands. Gotta love that it was easily 2/3 rd Michigan fans. Gotta say, one of my favorite moments was Hardaway hyping up the crowd during one of the TV timeouts! Anybody else at the game catch that? After close wins and loses the last few years at Welsh Ryan, a blow out was much easier on my nerves! Hail! |
| 24 weeks 1 day ago | Lmao Pam Ward |
Well played, my friend. I'm on the EL and bust out laughing from that one. Everybody is looking at me like I've gone nuts but totally worth it... |
| 24 weeks 5 days ago | Buffalo Chicken Dip |
I tried this receipe last year for NYE and it was insanely easy and was a hit at the party.
IngredientsDirectionsPreheat the oven to 425 degrees F. In a medium saucepan over moderate heat, melt the cream cheese until smooth, about 3 minutes. Add the celery, hot sauce and chicken and mix well. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie plate and sprinkle the crumbled blue cheese on top. Bake until hot and bubbly, about 25 minutes. Serve with crackers, bread or carrot sticks. (I did it with toritlla chips and carrots) Happy New Year all and enjoy! |
| 24 weeks 5 days ago | Agreed |
Agreed but you don't have to do much searching to find that young people are leaving the state of Michigan at record numbers. I'm merely bringing up that, in my opinion, some of that migration has to do with the political / social climate in Michigan the past 10 years. It's changed since I left in 02', that's for sure. |
| 24 weeks 5 days ago | +100 |
Wish I could give this comment 100 thumbs up! Couldn't agree more... |
| 24 weeks 5 days ago | Fair point |
That's a fair point....I really should have looked at their locals before making that connection. Simply trying to make the point that these types of "opinions" are a big part of why the population of Michigan is dwindling so quickly. Hell, half my friends in Chicago are from Michigan but I met them here! |
| 24 weeks 5 days ago | All type of fans and MgoBloggers |
I'm sure this will likely get me all negged to hell but reading many of these comments on here is pretty disheartening. It's already hard to read the majority of posts here as something always comes back to masculinity or lack there of. Just taking a moment to remind you all that there are many types of loyal Michigan grads / fans that don't fit the mold. Many of these comments on this thread are the reason why many young people can't get out of the state of Michigan fast enough! Just saying...we all love big Blue and should respect our differences |
| 24 weeks 6 days ago | Tickets! |
This is the 4th year in a row my kid sister, who lives in Canada now, has gotten me tickets to Northwestern - U of M tickets in Evanston for Christmas. Can't wait to see the Maize and Blue light up Welsh-Ryan next week! Also got a trip to Napa Valley from the honey...headed out there in September! Any wineries we have to see? Hail! |
