It was Smith. He bounced up afterwards knowing he was scary close to housing it.

I love the late starts but have zero issue with only having noon kickoffs in November. It definitely gets cold some nights in November. That has to at least play a part in it.

Played with Kesler growing up. Never liked him and then he went to OSU. Many reasons to dislike him. Couldn't help but smile when he boarded Weber during the game though. Somewhere I hope Zetterberg was smiling watching as well after Weber went WWE turnbuckle with Z's head in the playoffs years ago.

Basketball. And it's not even close. Check out the book Play Their Hearts Out by George Dohrmann if you have the time.

This is absolutely a possibility. Here's how it works: When you sell a ticket on StubHub, the seller enters in the barcode number and they regenerate a PDF ticket that invalidates the original ticket. Thus, if you purchase a hard ticket (or even e-ticket) from someone you don't trust, you are running that risk.
Hard tickets don't mean something like they used to in the past. I have Red Wings season tickets and can print off as many copies of my season tickets as I want in PDF format. They even let you invalidate other PDF copies you previously printed. Long story short: beware of the people you purchase from.

Thanks for posting this. Just picked up some youth jerseys for my buddy and fellow Alum who lives in Charlotte. $10.00 for one of those is an easy call. They will be greatly cherished.

Crawford actually played a pretty stellar game too. He kept them in it for a long time. The problem is that Elliott at the other end is having an unbelievable playoffs thus far. 104 saves on 109 shots in 3 games for Elliott. Those are absurd numbers.

I despise the Hawks but the 2 goals you speak of are no where near the same. Mason's gaffe was arguably the worst goal in NHL playoff history. The one Crawford let in hit a shin pad, bounced downward off the ice, and bounced up into the top corner. Not exactly the same as a 100 foot tipped shot from center ice.

They look like a completely different team tonight. Forechecking and actually laying some bodychecks. Good to see for a change.

You're spot on. It was almost like they gave them out as freebies or something. We once saw an entire Illini family decked out in them, even the 8-10 year olds. Classy bunch those Illini fans are.

They will be without the services of Duncan Keith for a while I'm guessing. Intentionally slashed Charlie Coyle in the face tonight. Match penalty for intent to injure. Would post the link but it won't seem to copy and paste.

I've always found it funny when people who read this blog thumb their nose at others who read this blog and also like getting autographs. If you think those two types of people are that dissimilar then you're insane.

Went to the game. Datsyuk is still worth the price of admission each and every night. Mrazek wasn't challenged much, although he made his standard couple of amazing saves. When your goalie gets a shutout and doesn't get first star, you know someone has had an amazing game.

I still don't buy it being completely unintentional. Seems more likely that he attempted to make it seem "accidenatlly on purpose." And even if he somehow actually did get caught off guard, you cannot let this go unpunished. Officials must be protected out there.
|34 weeks 5 days ago||They don't call minors but||
They don't call minors but they can call major penalties. This is likely what Wideman was pissed about. Then again, anyone who is willing to do that to an official in general probably didn't think it through.
Anyone who has played competitive hockey in their lives can tell you that if he was really caught off guard as he claims, he wouldn't have put both hands on his stick. You do that to protect yourself from someone trying to hit you. The linesman clearly wasn't trying to do that. If Wideman was really caught off guard, he would have simply grabbed a hold of the official instead of putting a second hand on his stick and delivering the blow.

I wore UM gear in the Spartan Stadium student section in 2007 (I think) when we came back and ripped their hearts out. Worse experience of my life. It also did not help that the movie 300 had recently come out and they handed out inflatable spears to the entire student section. I still think my experience was probably not as bad as what you'll experience. Props to you.
