|21 hours 21 min ago||to add to this, per 247||
to add to this, per 247 composite....
Ahmir MIthcell is rated directly behind Binjimen Victor in the top 100. Victor is the #8 WR. So, if Michigan lands both Mitchell and Corley, we would land the #9, #18 and #30 WR's, all 4* (very nice haul).
If Michigan lands both Corley and Lavert Hill, MIchigan will have landed 3 of the top 4 in the state and 4 of the top 7. For comparison sakes, Michigan State has the #8 rated in state prospect - we would have 4 ranked higher.
Given the results on the field the last few years, this is absolutely embarrasing (if it happens, of course) for Michigan State. What happens to them when Michigan is back, and 10 win seasons become the norm, and were once again pissed at an 8 or 9 win season?
BTW, we may be trending down for Upshur, but ill take either Hill or Corley any day instead. Not that i am not high on Upshur, but i think Ian Bunting is an absolute stud in the making. I believe Corley, and even more so Hill, are larger need positons.

I have seen quite a bit of Mitchell and really like what he offers. Very high on him. However, i have not seen much of Corely at all. I also would not mind an opinion on Mitchell vs Corley from someone that has seen quite a bit of both (strengths/weaknesses/differences)
Ill have to research Corely this weekend IF i have time :(

Yes. As far as height and straight line speed, Charles Rogers was elite. There was some good competition in football and track here at that time between he and Stuart Schwiegert if you remember him (Saginaw High vs. Saginaw Heritage).
|3 days 22 hours ago||All great recievers, and||
All great recievers, and quite possibly better receivers than Cole and/or Peppers will ever be. But i am talking just from a pure athletic standpoint. Many of the Michigan receivers you named werent as athletic as these 2.
I am from the Saginaw area, and have seen some unbelieveable athletes come through in both basketball and football. Let me just say i do not know if i can put any of them above Cole from an athletic standpoint. Only saw him 'live' twice as he was suspended for most of the year, but damn the kid is unbelievable.
|3 days 22 hours ago||Interesting to see if Cole is||
Interesting to see if Cole is our slot guy starting immediately. Peppers spells Cole - keep one on the field at all times for short screens, reverses etc.... and always have a guy on the field who can instantly take it to the house.
And if they were both on the field at the same time it would be the most athletic combination of WR's Michigan had ever fielded at one time, right after Anthony Carter and (*insert anyone on the entire roster regardless of position*).

Still love this kid. Extremely physical reciever with above average speed. Doesnt seem like he is moving fast but its just sort of effortless, as you see the dbacks running extremely hard to stay with him. Average quickness but kids so freaking strong, just positions himself and outmuscles his way for the ball. Small dbacks would have a nightmare covering him.

If he plays lazy TRYING to get a million dollar check, how will he be playing AFTER he gets a million dollar check.
Not even remotely suprised by this. I would not draft him if there was a 6th round.
|1 week 1 day ago||This is good stuff Ace.||
Im fairly suprised Donnal's offensive numbers were held up that strong (i percieved him as fairly bad offensively, let alone Horrible on D). Im equally suprised Biefeldt was that bad. I perceived him as being better offensively than what the statistics show. Matter of fact, i thought overall Biefeldt did MUCH better than Donnal, and the stats do not display that.

Although it is difficult to argue your statement, and i do not currently have the brain power to even attempt to argue your statement and find a less talented offensive skill position team (ok, screw it, i will - Rich Rods first year - IMO definitely worse) - remember, the offensive line we have had the last 2/3 years has made our skill players percieve to be worse than they actually are.
If we had a typical Michigan offensive line, every single skill player would have produced, and looked, much better than they have.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I know it does not mean a||
I know it does not mean a hell of a lot since we seen how innacurate and sometimes laughable the system is, but the last 2 (maybe 3) crystal balls on 247 have come in for Auburn in last few days.
With that said, the crystal ball thingy is pretty much a joke IMO.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||This could not be more||
This could not be more incorrect. This drill is heavily in favor of the Rusher. I bet the defense wins 75% or more of these snaps in this setting.
If your winning 50% in this setting as an OL, your doing damn well. And NO, this in no way translates to "well, if your losing 50% of snaps in a game, your doing horrible". You cannot translate this to that for multiple reasons - helpside, fatigue, proper training/technique. At the high school level OL is coahced horribly and the raw athlete speed rushers have a huge advantage. Not so at all after proper college coaching.

Don't count FSU out for DB Jr.
One, it is VERY possible DBJr. was showing interest to us (and others) so other freinds from his HS could get noticed/offers - and may well indeed end up at FSU at a later date.
Two, he has had multiple crystal balls to FSU the last few days.
It is not unheard of that elite players assist in others at their high school in getting not only noticed, but offers they may not have recieved otherwise. Its a potential warning sign if the others commit, and the elite prospect does not with them, or near the same time.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||How does Peters vitals below||
How does Peters vitals below (from 247 today) compare to the last great athletic drop-back QB we had named Drew Henson?
"Brandon Peters at 6-4.5 ran a 4.81 40. 4.39 shuttle. 31 inch vertical. All good numbers"
That is pretty damn athletic! for a dropback QB. He beat out some Wide Recievers and DBacks. Heck, what did Avant, Walker, Funchess, Mike Hart, Chris Perry, Minor etc... run?

Im in the same boat. Battle would have absolutely flourished in JBs offense. Just killed it. The decommit of Battle really floored me because i was so excited to watch him in this offense.
Battle will do well whereever he goes, but i just think he would have been so efficient here.
|4 weeks 2 days ago||IMO, Sam Webb could not be||
IMO, Sam Webb could not be more wrong on this. Battle is a perfect fit for JB's offense. Cumberland is not.
Cumberland is more like Carlton Brundidge. Just a better outside shot, but not in the same area code of Battles.
Cumberland would not have been a good fit.

What DG did behind our offensive line - i give the kid a 6th star. Devin is a perfect example of a kid you think to yourself, what could have been under normal Michigan circumstances.

And here we go again with a negative post bashing another member. And here come the sheep below you to pile on the bullying.
I thought bullying was for grade school or immature high schoolers?
|5 weeks 2 days ago||All you have to do is look at||
All you have to do is look at his most recent camp film yourself.
IMO, an 82 for him is a tiny on the low side. Kid is very well put together. Very good athlete. Moves well, with unbelieveable size at his Pos.
I am not saying he is a 95, but i would think around 85 +/- 1 spot until further film and evaluations become available.
This is NOT a Michigan bump. What this is, is 'hey, Michigan just landed this kid. Ever here of him? Me either. From Canada - im gonig to go dig around and see what i can find of him. Look, i found some film - it was 3 years ago though. Oh, here is another video of his recent camp. Dang, kid has great size. Camp MVP. Well put together. I think an 82 fits him well'.
Basically, he is NOT getting a bump just because he committed to Michgian. He is getting a bump because he was FINALLY evaluated. Now, you can say that he would NOT have been evaluated had he not committed to a power 5 conference team - i wont argue there. But you cant give a grade to a kid you dont know/havent seen before. Have to be aware of the kid and evaluate him first.

|5 weeks 2 days ago||My first impression was also,||
My first impression was also, 'WTH is this staff thinking' after watching that initial highlight tape. But that was his freshmen year i believe. Just slightly above is tape of his camp performance.
He is very, very well put together. Nice sized athlete - definitely passes the look test. I do not mind this offer one bit.
I cannot see him sticking at CB, but appears he would be a very nice WR. Another 'stick him at athlete and figure it out later' kid.

You have 1 spot left - its between he and Rashan Gary - who you take? Tough one isnt it.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||Chesson is definitely a||
Chesson is definitely a different animal. He turned out exactly opposite of what i percieved him as. I figured more Drake Harris (skinny outiside burner, not great blocker) and he ended up being one of the better blocking WR's in recent history, unable to create separation i figured he would be able to get.
But what a great, hard working guy. I would have to figure he comes back...simply put WR is possibly the weakest unit on the entire team. Who is more productive/experienced?
I really like Chesson even though he will never be a Manningham/Edwards type. But he is a solid player that i enjoy watching play, espectially his vicious blocking.
|5 weeks 4 days ago||Those dumping on Morris are||
Those dumping on Morris are forgetting the fact that Michigan had its 2 worst offensive lines the last 2 years. I fully expect our Line to improve by leaps and bounds because we not only return basically everyone, but because i have MUCH more faith in the OL coach improving everyone by a decent margin.
I have total faith that Shane Morris will look much better this year not only because he will himself improve, but the line will give him much more time to set and go through progressions. Having confidence in your OL is so important - he will not be panicking each time he sets.

How Michigan swung and missed on both RoJo and Dionte Allen that same year i will never know. Someone really messed those recruitments up.
Thank goodness English ( i believe it was him) stole D-War at the end.

Michigan actually had the #8 class before Gil committed. Georgia dropped 2 spots yesterday when Price decommitted, moving Michigan above them from 9th to 8th.
But yeah, still adds some more points to your class.
|6 weeks 3 hours ago||I was really excited about||
I was really excited about Price at one time. Figured (hoped) he would be our 2nd OL commit. I really liked his film.
I was shocked when he picked Georgia. Still not sure what happened there. Came out of nowhere.
He is a stud OLman IMO...would love if Michigan pursued him hard again. Hard to imagine the OL class we would have if we somehow landed both Price and Davis with what is already in the fold.

If immature bullying, insinuation of pedophelia and homesexuality traits is up your alley, i guess it would be funny.
I cannot believe how immature the people in this thread are. And i sure as hell hope this is a small sample that is being represented from this site. Its absolutely disgusting reading through this content.
I for one cannot believe this content has not been taken down. I sure the hell know sponsors of this site would not be supportive of the content that is being supported on this site - and would not want their brand in any way associated with this immature garbage.
Shame on you. Seriously. The most unprofessional, immature garbage i have read in quite some time. DIsgusting.
