From the Utah contingent is not their insistence that they have a football team that could win this game... but rather the seemingly complete void of any kind of discussion beyond that hope. The reasoning that I've seen thus far out of Utah fans are the following: 2002 was a close game and that team was less talented... and that has bearing on this year's contest how exactly??? That and the always classic use of the transitive property: this Utah team is better than App State. I won't begin to launch into my tirade against that blatant crime against reason and logic, but suffice to say that there's been enough noise from that side to merit some annoyance from us Maize and Blue folk.
a snap under center this season barring injuries to those in front of him, at least with the way that he's looked and Rodriguez has talked about him.
Writing Threet and Sheridian off before we've so much as seen one snap in an actual game is a bit much if you ask me.
I'll also go ahead and say that we won't be running 80% of the time, we have way too much talent on the outside to not get them the football.
They performed these measurements at halftime after the band performance... there was no announcement about what was going on in any way, shape, or form. I distinctly remember this because everyone in our section was trying to determine what on earth they where wheeling out onto the field. The crew that wheeled the microphone out to the 50 yardline almost exclusively encouraged the student section to get louder, with a noticeable portion of the rest of the crowd out in the concourses.
Point being, the 100 db they measured is hardly a "max" or even "usual" reading of how loud Michigan stadium can be... It definitely needs to be louder more consistently, but it's not quite as bad as the 100 db would make it seem.
