|2 years 35 weeks ago||Wow, I am a HUGE Pistons fan||
And the absurd comments of TheLastHoke frustrate me. You ignore the "stats' of everyone else. You say the Jennings trade was in the works, but ther was ZERO talk of that trade before hand. In fact the main reason they drafted KCP is because the Pistons had ZERO perimeter defense. That was regardless of Jennings and even more so now with Jennings.
So in your own words stop being a homer and if defense is your only agrument then simply say that KCP is a better defender b/c based on STATS he is better than KCP in almost every other category.

What are the chances of him playing and if he doesn't I guess I get to break out the Super Mario shirts again. But also who would Mario's backup be?

All this is speculations, but here it is anyway:

Criticizing a coach is well within the right of a fan, no matter what really, but I am saying if it's clear that something has gone wrong then more fans would be screaming. And it's clear the coaching staff isn't bringing in 2-stars and trying to turn them into stars. What they are doing though is bringing in a bevy of 4 and potential 5 star recruits. So let me clarify what I said before. If it comes down to say Pipkins vs O'brien or even Washington vs. Wormley for that matter. I am going to trust that which ever recruit comes are the ones who want to be here. As we've said they could be boom or they could be busts. Thus far though NOTHING is set in stone and all we have to go on is our coaching staff, and in this case that's Hoke, Mattison, and Montgomery. So while I think everyone would want this #1 recruit or that one, I am saying I would rather take a similarly ranked player, which in many cases they are because they want to be there, and 2. because I know the coaches have the ability to make them studs.

I think everyone needs to relax when they say that they don't like the way the coaches are recruiting. Remember it's Hoke and Co. who salvaged last year's class and is tearing it up this year. I COMPLETELY trust what they are doing. Also remember Hoke said he wants the "right" players and if they aren't running through the doors to be at Michigan I believe that there is someone else who is. And with our coaching staff they will be taught to become BEASTS

Thanks for the post, but I am concerned because there wasn't anything at WR. Is that because things have slowed down on them as well. Do we have an update on Stanford?

On paper they looked bad and I def agreed with the doom, on people they look really nice. DB is doing his thang
|5 years 11 weeks ago||Still looking good......||
For Washington and Stanford as well. Combined with OSU mess and this monster haul of a class I bet they will jump on board. I think that they will wait for the all american games, but honestly who cares so long as they get on board! Big Blue is ROLLING
|5 years 46 weeks ago||Defense||
I am not sure who stated it below, but I think it's a pretty good sign that Avery could be pushing Rogers off the field. Similalry I can no longer stand behind Obi. I think the time for Demens starting needs to be soon. To me he seems like he reacts better, more fundamentally sound, and overall better. Through 5 games Obi only has 30 tackles while Demens, in spot duty, has 11. As a middle linebacker it's atrocious to only have 30 tackles and consistently be out of positon.
|5 years 46 weeks ago||This is on James Rogers||
I think people are forgetting down and distance. The point of the zone is to drop and keep everything in front of you. This is one of the few times where Rogers is in the same time zone of the receiver. That being said he need to drop 5-7 yards at least pretending to go with the WR who is running right by him. If James drops back, like Avery does, then Indiana has to throw over him giving Gordon time to mover. Gordon has DEEP half so it's pivotal that he gets his drop, as we have talked about with the post coming as well. I think is tihs a combination of good play, but made easier by Rogers inability to play cornerback.
|5 years 46 weeks ago||MSU D vs. ND D||
I like that everyone has been talking up the MSU D as the first "REAL" defense that we may be facing, but I have a question - what's the difference between MSU's defense and Notre Dame's? They both have suspect D-line play, great linebacker in Teo and Jones, and then average to better secondary play? So while this will be a tough game I am thinking that this is one we can win? Thoughts?
