Date Title Body
Curtis Samuel from those highlights

Looks nothing more than a system guy.  I didn't see any speed or power or anything to make me think he's more than just a good system that can get him the ball.

You're high

And drunk.

That's a hell of a choice

Dude plays a lot like Bosa and we all know how that works out.  That is one scary defensive line.

I want

Jabrill Peppers.  Oh we already have him?  Then give me Rashan Gary just to make sure.

I'm pretty sure

Wisconsin had three one year with John Clay, James White and Montee Ball.  Or something like that.  I believe Nevada also did it when Kaepernick was their quarterback running the pistol.  I could see it happening but maybe not because we return 3 quality backs and just recruited another quality guy in Walker.  If we can run block like we did in the Citrus bowl and keep improving from what I saw from split lines in the Spring game, there's no doubt we can be that dominant of a rushing team.

Well alright then

1. Easily over.  Any of the top 3 quarterbacks on the roster right now all have more physical potential than Rudock.  Plus all the returning starters being in their 2nd year under Harbaugh, plus the possible emergences of TJ, Bunting, Gentry, Perry and a Freshman receiver loom large.

2. Under.  We know Speight and O'Korn are all easily above him right now.  Most likely Peters right now as well.  He won't start, but I would like to see a package where we can use his athleticism and have an Eric Crouch like option game.  Then move him to receiver so we can run no huddle.

3.  Over.  We all know De'Veon isn't Chris Perry but the coaches said he was the clear cut starter coming out of Spring.  Interesting to see if Issac can improve even more in fall camp and maybe start to separate from the pack.  I like De'Veon's physical style for this offense though and I think Harbaugh will try to burn the tires off of his backs this year.  Plus have you seen the schedule?  De'Veon will have over 500 by the end of September.

4. Easily over.  Well maybe not Easily, but I'm sure he'll get it.  Imo the best receiver in the BIG.  He'll get his looks and he won't have Rudock missing him for half of a season this year.

5.Give me over.  With the additions of Rashan Gary, Ron Johnson, Josh Uche and Bryan Mone from injury that's more than enough pieces for blitz happy DC Don Brown to utilize.

6.  This one is tough but I'll go over.  Jeremy Clark really impressed me in the Spring game.  Since teams maybe aren't going to look Lewis' way very much I assume Clark and Stribner will get targeted the majority of the time.  Plus add in rangy Dymonte Thomas and they'll make their plays this year.

7.  I gotta go over again.  Better athletes all across the field for us than a year ago and Peppers is due to break 1 or 6 of them.  Can't forget about Chesson's speed either.

8.  Ummm easily over.  For a brief moment early last season I thought making it past midfield was going to be a chore.  But soon enough a quarterback emerged we saw improvements from our receivers and backs and even the line started to look competent.  The way this offense looked against Indiana is what they'll look like first week of Fall Camp.  What they looked like against Florida will be what they look like against Hawaii.

9.  Over and it's not that close.  We're going for the big one this year, so you know Harbaugh will be on edge all year.  I'm just hoping we have enough players to hold him back if a fist fight breaks out.

10.  I'm sick of being conservative, you're damn right we're going over.  Win the BIG title and our 13 first games.  Get into the playoffs and we'll see what happens from their.  Little worried about playing in Kinnick, but having the black Christian McCaffrey on our side(Peppers) makes me feel a lot better.  Basically the season comes down to OSU's maturation.  They have as much raw talent as anyone in the country but are young as all hell.  Do they gel well enough to maybe upset us in the shoe?  That's the only question I have, the rest will take care of itself.

Go Blue!

I think the biggest difference between Harbaugh and Hoke

In terms of recruiting is evaluating talent.  Seemed as though Hoke was just star gazing like a casual fan of recruiting and Harbaugh grabs 3 star prospects that tend to make us think how the kid isn't ranked higher.  I think a majority of Harbaugh's 3 star players look better on film than Hoke's 4 and 5 star players.  I remember how it was with Hoke whenever we got a commit.  I'd watch the players tape and be unimpressed and end thinking, well he's only in high school he'll develop and get better.  We all know Hoke couldn't develop players and Harbs is doing his best with what Hoke left him.  Which was players that peaked in high school and fits the billing of a 90's player and not a modern day athlete.  Different athletes, different approach and obviously better coaching.  Do you think Hoke wakes up in the morning and wonders what the hell is wrong with him?

I usually get a nightmare

It's the worse the nightmare you can imagine.  I wake up in my dream ready to get the day started by watching the maize and blue on opening day.  Except something in my dream keeps making sure I never get to sit down and watch the game.   I either have a chore to do or my mind keeps telling me that I don't know what channel or time the game is on.  My football watching experience keeps getting inevitably delayed.  It is terrifying.

I'm going to be brutally honest here

Speight is the starter as of now and if anyone is going to take his job THIS year it will be Peters and not O'Korn.  I get Harbaugh is the qb whisperer but the only thing O'Korn has on Speight is athleticism.  I watched film from O'Korn in Houston's throw it around made for yardage spread and he still didn't produce how you'd expect.  His arm is average at best and doesn't have the poise or accuracy of Speight.  Speight's just getting started, think about how much he'll have improved when mid-season somes around.  He doesn't have the ceiling of Peters but he obviously has the experience edge for this year.  O'Korn just doesn't impress me.  He plays smaller than his size and just doesn't have much for an arm.

Kid's going to be a stud

My prediction and let's be honest there's dozens of future outcomes with our qb depth chart, will be that Speight starts this year over O'Korn.  Which is crazy because in 2017 we very well could have Speight, Peters, O'Korn and McCaffrey all on the roster.(  That's gotta be some kind of record).  But in 2017 Peters takes the job away from Speight.(Whaaaaattttt!?).  Then in 2018 if Speight doesn't decide to transfer for his last year of eligibility he's now third string behind a Junior and likely final season in college Peters and a RS Freshman McCaffrey.  Ok, my mind is about to explode and I need to go to bed.

Don't judge me for these

Wisconsin-I'm from Wisconsin, I live in Wisconsin, all of my family is Badger fans.  I am the black sheep.  But when Michigan isn't on the tv I guess I follow and even root pretty heavy for sconnie.  Can't hate them.  They play physical football and compete every year even without a surplus of talent.

Alabama- Hate Saban to death, but can you deny the type of talent they put on the field year after year?  It's very entertaining and exciting to watch their players.  They are the gold standard for college football right now, but Michigan is closely approaching that standard!

Oklahoma- I mean it's tough to say I follow them, outside of Michigan and Wisconsin I only see these teams a couple times a year, but I've always respected their tradition and the way they play the game.  Liked Oklahoma since Sam Bradford tore it apart in 2008.

Oregon- Fun offense that scores a ton of points.  Fun team to watch when you're just looking for something that isn't manball.  Also love to follow what uni they wear each week.

Obviously Michigan will always be my first and only choice as MY TEAM, but I like to get a variety during the season.

Well that would have to be

NOBODY!

Don't really care much for Goodell

But I also really don't care much at all for Tom Brady either, even if he is a Michigan man.  Watch New England go 3-1 without him and look fine.  Belichick outside of Harbaugh is the best coach money can buy.

Barrett's a system QB

Watch his film.  He's so robotic.  All's he does is stare down his slant route to Michael Thomas.  If that's not open bubble screen to Jalin Marshall.

Just bought a #1 away jersey

Wasn't able to get the premier jersey bc they didn't have large or even a medium so I just bought the cheaper one in a medium.  When the Nike ones come out I'll get a home Peppers one.  Haven't bought a new Michigan jersey in a decade when I was a kid.  Who should I say it belongs to?  Funchess, Edwards, AC, or Crawford?

Why is Ohio State ranked ahead of us?

They just had a mass exodus to the NFL and only return 6 starters and we return 17.  Yes they have a lot of talent as usual but how are those young guys going to fair when they have to go to Norman, or Madison, East Lansing, or when they play us when we're just as bit as talented and more experienced and better coached?

Yes but the best players came from the 60's

Where they didn't lift weights or train outside of practice.  Then worked in the off-season at a factory sometimes maiming themselves, while smoking and getting roaring drunk on the weekends.  If you refute anything I say about these players you are a moron.

-Any old time football journalist ever

Maybe there's a reason

For stereotypes? No?

Jared Abbrederis?

The dude is 6'1'' not 5'9''.

McCaffrey dropping dimes

This doesn't bold well for Peters.  I really like Peters as well but McCaffrey has such a high ceiling with room to grow.  Once he gets stronger and weighs about 220, look out.  His arm strength and release are going to be even better.  I say each qb recruit we bring in redshirt them and let them play the next year then the year after that put them in the NFL.

He looks like crap

Looks like crap from what I'm watching too.

Sorry about my McCaffrey obsession

But does he have a big time arm like a Henne or just a meh one like a Speight?

Oh Well

Would rather have Stueber, Herbert or Wilson as my tackles.  Wish we could have gotten Delpit as we need to get acquiring guys with athleticism to play against the spread but that's why we have Woods and eventually, hopefully JKP.

Will our boys

Be playing anymore tonight?  I didn't get to see any till now.  Did McCaffrey tear it up and look like a Harbaugh recruit?

Understandable

I can see the gripe with the comment he made 6 years ago.   Let's remember though that was 6 years ago.  People can change their opinions and emotions on a topic.  It is what it is none of us who like it or not can stop KD from changing his mind now, so let's just talk about how hyped we are for the Warriors to score a crapload of points this year.

I don't understand the hate in these scenarios

You have sub-par players signing superstar deals, then we have players signing 2 year deals with a second year player option because he wants to win a championship, yet we find KD less admirable?  It's a game.  This is supposed to be entertainment and as Herm Edwards says, "You play to win the game!".  So you're telling me if you had the chance to make 27 million dollars this year and give yourself the best chance at winning a professional championship you wouldn't do it?  If you disagree with KD's thinking that's exactly what you're telling me.  Why would anyone give up the shot to win a championship?  I'm a Packer fan and if Aaron Rodgers had a better chance to win a championship other than Green Bay and he left I would not fault him for it.  I'd be angry at Ted Thompson for not creating the best team in the league for him to play with.

So depressing Rodriguez you are a terrible terrible man.
You're a moron. I'm a pretty nice guy and don't toss this around a lot but you're a damn moron. If it isn't a big deal why did Brady lie to the NFL? Goodell hasn't been a great commish but he's finally laying down the law. You think because you're Tom Brady you can lie? Not anymore. Goodell won't take that cheating New England asterisk crap no more and I love it. Btw it's Rodgers!! Rodgers!!! As in the best goddamn qb Rodgers!!
Let's look at harbaugh from a far out perspective Harbaugh took a program with a middle school weight room, no on paper talent, snd a history of losing and turned Stanford into one of college footballs biggest powers and teams you do not want to,play against in a matter of four years. He has a great track record with quarterbacks developing luck into a heisman contender and number one overall draft pick, recruited Kevin hogan then went to the 49ers. Where he then took a team of castoffs, has beens, and non producing first round picks into a team full of monsters who had arguably the best roster in the NFL for a 2-3 year span. He made a super bowl and 3 NFC championships, one of them with Alex Smith as his qb in which he resurrected Smith's career. Guys we'll be ok. Well produce a lot and we'll produce early.
That makes me optimistic We had two non conference losses last year and mostly everyone has penciled us in for 2 more this year. With harbaugh can we safely agree we'll likely cut that that down to one non conference loss(likely Utah) and we flip close games around such as the Maryland and butgers game based onnot going into games with a bound to fail gameplan and a qb physically and mentally butchered. You add that up and that's 8 wins. On the contrary I don't see any teams making that flip with us unless we beat sparty or osu. Nw won't beat us in the big house although happy valley could give us revenge, but we could still gain another win with revenge at Minnesota and I assure you harbaugh won't let us get out muscled and that's all minny has. If we could hit the nose at 8 regular season wins I think harbaugh and staff are on pace.
Complete bs I live in Wisconsin but I'm a die hard maize and blue fan yet still pulled hard as hell for my home state team. That being said another Wisconsin sports team fucked over by officials. First off,Winslow touched that ball, secondly he stepped out of bounds, thirdly Grayson Allen pushes off more than the Harrison twins combined and lastly Wisconsin commits the fewest fouls in the country in the regular season at 12 per game yet, all tournament long they're the biggest foulers out there. There needs to be consistency in officiating with this culture of you can drive to the hoop head down, ball cradled, arms out, ready to run someone over, yet it's a defensive foul? I couldn't tell if it was Grayson Allen or Marshawn lynch out there. Screw duke. These wins mean nothing compared to what uw fans would've felt. Congrats you'll the best class in the country and do it year after year, while Bo Ryan gets crap and has to fight tooth and nail for a sweet 16.
To expand on the QB situation

I'm not completely in love with what Mariota either.  Yes, the system helped him but I do believe he has his own talent to play in the league.  However, I see him about as good as an Andy Dalton and nothing special coming out like an Andrew Luck.  Still, wholeheartedly agree Bucs need a qb bad and Mariota has to be the best decision.

There's really someone dumb enough..

to draft an alleged raper, crab leg thief, inappropriate yelling, immature turnover prone quarterback at number two overall?  Wow, I don't understand how I'm not a GM yet.
