Michigan leads 6-1. Red puts Dwyer in net.
|46 min 38 sec ago||Let's finish this off||
MSU is getting chippy after the whiste. Michigan needs to be like Fonzie and stay cool.

Big power play here.
|2 hours 18 min ago||Our problem all year||
We can't put teams away. A breakaway gives them a power play; 55th in the nation and they score right away.
|2 hours 33 min ago||GOAL||
Moffatt scores. 2-0.

54 seconds in, 1-0 game.

Brown was part of the trade that sent Erat to Phoenix. Get rid of a cancer, get a Wolverine. Sounds like a good deal to me.
|22 hours 8 min ago||The big difference||
For the last 30 years Michigan has been running umbrella. Against Ohio State they ran the 1-3-1.
When OSU tightened their diamond up Michigan scored on outside shots and strong net presence. When they loosened Michigan went inside.
It's a power play that suits their personnel. I hope they stick with it.

At least we're not wearing these.
|1 day 23 hours ago||They've played well||
They're 4-8-1 but they have played a tough schedule so far.
If they can win the series against Princeton and a game or two at the College of Charleston Tournament, I would call our 22 game non-conference road schedule a success.

There was a lot of potential traded this week, but only a handful of proven commodities. I have no problem seeing Holland sit on what they, rather than giving up assets to try and make a playoff push.
As for the the Vanek trade, that may go down as one of the worst trades in NHL history. Not only do they trade Moulson, they end up losing Vanek for nothing and the pick they gave up to Buffalo will probably be used to draft a once in a generation talent in McDavid or Eichel.
|2 days 4 hours ago||The Vanek trade was an anomaly||
It's unrealistic to point to the Vanek trade as a knock on Holland and Gaborik is one of the most injury prone players in the NHL.
The only reason Montreal got Vanek was because Garth Snow drove such a high asking price that every team declined. When there was no time left to trade a player that they had to trade, the Islanders took the only deal left.
Who else would they have traded for?

The rumor is that Jankrok wasn't happy sitting in the minors and was going to go back to Sweden.

Paterno and the other administrators knew before 2001. It's not a coincidence that Sandusky retired in 99. It's part of the victims testimony that Paterno forced his retirement.

Love the duct tape speach from BA
|3 days 3 hours ago||It's a tough situation||
In hindsight it's easy to be critical of McQueary for not stopping it, but it's not like he went home and kept it a secret for 14 years.
McQueary went to Joe Paterno in 1998 and told him what was going on in the locker room. Paterno, athletic director Tim Curley, university president Graham Spanier and PSU vice president Gary Schultz knew. Some of the most powerful men in the state were aware of what was going on and they did nothing. Even the district attorney knew and didn't file charges.
Everyone knew. It was a statewide coverup.
|3 days 5 hours ago||You're missing part of the story||
He didn't just slam lockers. McQueary went to his higher ups, they didn't do their part.
|3 days 21 hours ago||He couldn't recruit in the B1G||
His team made the tournament because of Talor Battle and Jeff Brooks. He wasn't going to have a winning season for a few years and would probably have gotten fired, so his options were Navy now or a random mid-major later.

There's still suffering from Weberitis.
Bruce Weber was a great recruiter, but his players never developed and attrition was high. That takes time to recover from.

As of now, the plan is to tear down JLA when the new arena is built.
