| 15 hours 49 min ago | This is just too easy |
Quenneville is making this too easy for the Wings. Babcock has a great gameplan, and the Hawks won't adjust. They just keep trying to play their game. |
| 2 days 34 min ago | Good idea |
By trying to make it relevant, it will make itself irrelevant. No one wants to see the 10th best player at his position playing in the Pro Bowl because everyone else backed out. |
| 3 days 29 min ago | Jason White |
Jason White was a Heisman winner, All-American, Davy O'Brien, Player of the Year, Unitas Golden Arm, and won the Maxwell. He was not even considered as a UFA. |
| 3 days 41 min ago | Glen Rice Jr |
I haven't heard Glen Rice Jr's name in a long time. We didn't recruit him until it was too late, but thank goodness he didn't come to Michigan. What a disaster. |
| 3 days 15 hours ago | Genius |
Even if you're not a fan of the Wings, watching them execute a Box+1 is nothing short of great hockey. Even when they have so much talent on offense, if you can take away the player who the offense flows though the wheels fall off. |
| 4 days 4 min ago | A pure scorer |
All four of those players played defense, killed penalties and forechecked. AJ is a scorer, that's it. Typically a scorer will not have the vocal leadership qualities that a defensive minded player has and it was brought up that AJ was more of quiet, lead by example type of captain. |
| 4 days 20 hours ago | Leadership was huge |
We all know that leadership was a problem, they just didn't have the bounce back that teams had in the past after something bad happened. Before AJ, when was the last time we had a pure scorer wearing the C? |
| 6 days 2 hours ago | He's correct |
EMU played two FCS schools in 2011, Howard and Alabama State. That's the reason why even at 6-6, they were not eligible for a bowl game. |

| 1 week 1 day ago | You didn't |
The Wings didn't have the money because they gave 73 million dollars to Zetterberg and 43 million to Franzen in 2009, 46 million to Datsyuk the year before. |
| 1 week 1 day ago | Sellout? |
You let him go, it's not his fault your team didn't have the money to pay him. |
| 1 week 3 days ago | Rutledge |
I'm not even positive Red is coming back after next year. It would be very difficult for Rutledge to commit to Red, leave and then come back to a new coaching staff. |
| 1 week 4 days ago | Come on Wings |
I have two Blackhawks tickets for the 2nd round, Game 5 sitting in the first row. I really want to see them play the Wings. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | I like it |
I'll be at both games in Madison. |
| 2 weeks 3 days ago | Maybe |
I'm on my phone right now, so I can't be sure. Check the ISS rankings alongside the THN rankings, and see if THN is listing European skaters as well. I thought ISS only listed North America on their last draft ranking. |
| 2 weeks 4 days ago | Take off your red tinted glasses |
He jumped and he made contact with his head, that's a direct violation of rule 42.1 Every time something happens to one of your players, you homers show up in full force whining about how everyone is against you. There is no conspiracy against the Red Wings. The league isn't plotting against your team, the commissioner doesn't hate you. I've never seen so much complaining about a borderline AHL player getting suspended before. Grow up. |
| 3 weeks 15 hours ago | He's really picked his game up |
Coming into this year he was stil struggling with consistency. Bruce Boudreau made it a point to talk about how he was going to use him as a weapon, and he's having one of the best overall seasons of his career. |
| 3 weeks 21 hours ago | He did not |
Taylor Martinez worked with Steve Calhoun. |
| 3 weeks 21 hours ago | He's legit |
There are two big names when it comes to private quarterback coaches, George Whitfield jr and Terry Shea. These two guys work with the biggest QB's in the NFL, as well as the biggest college quarterbacks coming out in the draft. Last year Whitfield worked with Andrew Luck and Cam Newton the year before, Shea worked with RGIII. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | Not just Hatch |
Ben Cronin was the first recruit to commit when John Beilein came to Ann Arbor. He had a degenerative hip and had to quit basketball after just a few games, but he stayed with the program as a student manager for four more years. On the football side I'm sure everyone remembers how Mealer tore his shoulder up lifting the car, and RR told him he would be kept on scholorship even if he never played a down for Michigan. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | We had our years too |
Michigan's program was a dog in the 50's and 60's, Michigan State was the national champion six times. Eventually things went back to the way they had been before. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | Not really |
Michigan State had a few of those things before. They won the Rose Bowl, Tony Mandarich was drafted 2nd overall and then they went back to being irrelevant. No program stays down forever, eventually small programs make a run and then go away. It's the landscape of college football. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | They're still Texas |
Mack Brown may be dragging down the program, but once he's gone they will go back to being Texas again because no matter what A&M does, UT still recruits better. If Michigan State jumped to a better conference and didn't even get to play in a BCS bowl during one of the programs best seasons, I think it would be pretty funny. I wouldn't be mad. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | Why would Texas be mad |
Why would Texas be mad? They already have plans to expand to a 112,000 seat stadium, so when they do A&M will be the 4th largest. |
| 3 weeks 3 days ago | No way |
The reason why he was brought up for the OSU job, was because he interviewed for the same job in 2010. No way he would take a job at Michigan. George Gwozdecky was an assistant coach under Ron Mason in the 80's, he's a Spartan |
| 3 weeks 3 days ago | It's kind of important |
We're not in an 11 team conference anymore. When one of the six programs in the conference goes away from the big names, promoting an assistant from the previous failed regime, it's kind of a big deal. |
| 3 weeks 3 days ago | I feel the same way |
With the extra 2 million dollars B1G hockey programs are going to get because of Big Ten Network, George Gwozdecky could have turned Ohio State hockey into a premier program right away. |
| 3 weeks 4 days ago | Juwann Bushell-Beatty |
Per Sam Webb, it's Juwann Bushell-Beatty. |
| 3 weeks 4 days ago | He's in Chicago |
Van Bergen has moved on to his life after football, he lives and works in Chicago. |
| 3 weeks 6 days ago | Cianfrone |
It's best for both sides that he doesn't come next year. No reason for him to waste a year of eligibility being the 16th forward on the roster, getting 5 minutes a game or scratched like Milne. |
