Polar Plunge

For anyone who wants to help support the Special Olympics, there is a Polar Plunge this weekend with proceeds going to the Special Olympics. Participants also get to hear Coach Hoke and Coach Carr speak prior to the event.

Well put

I suppose I have a fixed perspective and I am only answering insofar as how that makes them better for me. I didn't set out to prove that they were objectively better, but those are the reasons that stand out for me and why I fell on the side of the divide that I did.

I think it is somewhat hilarious that the bulk of this discussion has come down to a IOS vs Android debate when the OP explicitly stated that he was "not interested in hearing why I should buy an iPad"

Several reasons

One of the most prominent is pricing - if you compare what you get for the cost, Apple comes out substantially behind in several categories - most easily seen in the iPad mini which is $130 more than the Nexus 7 and inferior in almost every way.

Another reason is that I don't like the relationship that Apple wants to have with controlling what I do and how I use their hardware once I have purchased it from them. They want to strictly control the user experience and, frankly, I think that is crap. I paid for it, I want to use it without regards to how Steve Job's ghost intended it to be used.

When it comes to consumer

When it comes to consumer products, Apple is great for the style obsessed or the technologically incompetent and is priced accordingly.

Nexus

I have the Nexus 7 and I absolutely love it. Though I can't comment with any experience on either the Nexus 10 or the Transformer, I think that the Transformer Prime being on ICS almost makes it a deal-breaker in my mind, though I have read the hardware is excellent.

My best experiences with android have been on google products because the experience is unspoiled by manufacturer UI crap.

Really?

And you chose....CCR?

Agreed.

MILF.

Best sex of our marriage (so far)

When my wife was pregnant,  once she reached the happy pregnant months, but before she was so big she felt terrible, that she got a surge of hormones and was pouncing on me at least two times a day. It lasted two weeks.

It was awesome.

Awesome

Holy crap, I can't believe I've never seen that video. I forgot how good he was. Amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Spongebob would be awesome

We're going back and forth between Backyardigans and Barney on Netflix. Ugg..

Prediction

13 - 9, Michigan

Amazing

I find it stunning that all you managed to pull from that post was a throwaway reference to stupid things being written about RR.

Not nuts

My wife and I can see each other on Latitude too. It is a helpful tool if you have a good relationship with your spouse. Neither of us have anything to hide from one another and it is sometimes handy to see where she is if we're traveling or planning on meeting up after work - I can see if she's 5 minutes away or half an hour away.

Six Picks

Boise State
Nebraska
South Carolina
Michigan State
Missouri
Pitt
I make an exception

I make an exception for winged tires as well.

All Taco Bell

I love the Demolition Man reference.

why

Why is your junk out while you're looking at mgoblog?

Hey!

Where'd you get my picture?

LOUD NOISES!

I LOVE LAMP!

My grandfather Sorry for your loss. My grandfather died about ten years ago and as the church service ended, Hail to the Victors came booming out of the speakers. I've never seen so many people smiling at a sad occasion. Go blue.
Whole lot of opinions

Whole lot of opinions, but there is only one that matters.

Did you know that if you have enough MGoPoints when a new coach is hired, you get annointed as the new Brian? All the MGoCardinals convene to posbang and negbang their favored candidates and when the dust clears, a new Brian is crowned. This happens every time Michigan changes coaches.

Old Brian was the Brian voted in when Lloyd Carr retired, and he has now ascended to MGoHeaven, but soon, our New Brian will be crowned and all the MGoWorld will rejoice. So save up those MGoPoints, because who knows? IT COULD BE YOU!

Wisconsin

Wisconsin may have lost, but it was a close game and they are as MANBALL as it gets around these parts. They put up a solid game against one of the strongest spread teams in the nation.

Two possibilities

1) You said something that a lot of people disagreed with.

2) A bunch of people accidentally negged you.

I'd guess number 1.

Matrix

DB: Do not try and bend the coaching decision. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.

Media: What truth?

DB: There is no coaching decision.

Media: There is no coaching decision?

DB: Then you'll see, that it is not the coach that changes, it is only yourself.

OT - Bowl ticket contest Sorry to thread jump, but I can't start threads yet and this is bowl talk.

for anyone within a 3 hour radius of Ann Arbor (because you have to pick up the prize within 3 hours), annarbor.com is running a bowl game drawing this week. You have to answer a question every day for a week and they put you into a drawing for a package including airfare, bowl tickets, hotel stay and some transportation for the Gator Bowl, as well as access to the official alumni tailgate. The package is through the alumni association I guess.

A chance to win a $4,000 package for answering a few Michigan football questions this week. Since we're already all doing that while at work anyhow, it seems like an okay deal. Here's a link if you're interested:

Aggressive

From what I saw in the Arkansas - MIss St. game that I was lucky to stumble into earlier in the season, the Miss St. defense skews aggressive. They did a good job of getting to Mallett, which they needed to, but they were leaving themselves open to being burned and, frankly, Denard has more weapons with which to burn them.

Best? I doubt it. But they will be getting pretty effective penetration if they play it as aggressive as they did against Arkansas. Though, seeing enough video of Roy Roundtree streaking through the secondary wide open may give them some cause to reconsider.

Pace yourself

Don't push yourself too much, man. If you think your index finger is cramping now, just wait until everyone is on holiday break with nothing else to do but post threads. Or watching bowl games. Or good god, the time period between our bowl game and Brandon's evaluation being announced.

You don't want to tempt the Angry Michigan Negbanger Hating God into smiting your index finger and putting you out for the most important part of the forum season.

Take a break and let some other people handle negbanging the rabble

Hmmm

So....meat. Is she the heir to a great meat fortune?

Not a fake

That is actually Brian. I knew him in college, worked on the Every Three Weekly with him.
