While it seems like a great name "Bo" is a terrible name for a dog when you're trying to train him with the all powerful "No!." They sound too much alike. I had a roommate with Bo the Golden Retriever and he was always confused with the 2 words - dog not roommate. For a little dog I'd go with Vince, Martavious, Desmond, AC, or any other diminutive Wolverine from years past.
My 105 pound German Shepherd is Kaiser - no brainer.
Not on campus but the Detroit Golf Club clubhouse next door to Palmer Park is an Albert Kahn building. A number of beautiful houses of Kahn's can be found in the Palmer Woods and Sherwood Forest neighborhoods at 7 Mile & Woodward.
WBNS radio in CBus just reported Pryor, Herron, and Posey to be suspended for forst 5 games of next season. That's a loss to Miami (YTM), and Little borther at least.

The smartest thing RR said about youth is that he's got 18 and 19 year olds going against 22, 23 year olds. That's a big difference physically. More Barwis for everyone.

I agree with your sanity and believe in my heart of hearts that DB will not let the pie be half baked; obviously, he's a pizza guy at heart. Hire Randy Shannon as DC and let's move on with an upperclass-ish O and a deeper D.
is best and safest in the parking lots closest to the stadium. There are some good ones on the NW corner of the stadium that I have gone to during my 20 years of living here.
There is no atmosphere, no good student section, and apathy abounds with the crappy pre-season schedule. It ain't the arena. It's Izzo and Matta, and Bo Ryan in Wisky. Shiny new practice facility will help, but it is 100% more collegial and loud at Crisler than it is at the Value City Arena.
This is the problem with the blind faith to the elusive "Michigan Man." Bo wasn't when he started. Yost wasn't when he started. Most of us on this board probably weren't until we got to Ann Arbor either. Les learned from Bo. Great. Doesn't make you a great coach. Les couldn't find a ride out of town fast enough when Lloyd got the job. Where's the loyalty there? Michigan Men are groomed and nutured. They aren't grown on trees.
Les Miles may be the worst game day coach going right now and no one, not even the vest, gets less out of his offensive talent. Have you watched the last 2 minutes of a close LSU game...? It's a whole different kind of exciting. Even Pat Forde has repeatedly said Les has made his own deal with the devil - and there is more evidence in that than any Rosenberg piece o'crap.
Keep Rod. Get rid of GERG at the end of the season. Learn some tackling. My 2 year old wraps up better every night I get home.
Granted the D is Charles Barkley golf swing turrible, howeva how much better does it need to be for us to be successful? If Penn State has their season average, or slightly better, 3rd down conversion percentage how many more opportunities do we have to score. 6 or 7? I would love to have the D of my childhood or even my college years, Hammerstein Messner anyone, but that will take 2 more classes of great recruits. We need to be a capable D and right now we're not. Oregon gives up 32 to a very good Pac10 offense, but their D gets enough stops to put up more points than the other guys. I had the empty feel ing too Saturday night, but it was more because of how close we were - 3 stops, 3 friggin stops on 3rd down - to win the game. Todd Blackledge said it best when he said about M's D. the scheme is fine, they just need better players.
After years of seeing the "Ann Arbor is a Whore" tee shirts I finally saw the answer last week on a tee shirt that answered, "if AA is a Whore how come you couldn't get in." Brilliant.

Come scout the enemy's home. The first weekend of every month there is a Gallery Hop in the Short North arts district, restaurants and bars are great there too. Stay at The Lofts hotel. Best of all, the suckeyes are at Illinois this weekend so the normal sea of red and gray will be slightly less than overpowering.
I loved him when he guaranteed the win in The Game my sophomore year, but Jimmy has more skeletons in his closet than the garage sale from Pirates of the Carribean. I agree that the age of phone pics and Facebook would be problematic at best. Guy loves strippers and is on his third or fourth wife, which works for him. I don't see it working for Mr. Brandon. We have a coach the same age - 46. I'd love to see them both with their current employers battling it out for Rose Bowls and MNTs for the next 15 - 20 years.
For a league named for 10 teams that has 11 now and 12 next year, I'd say for the right price that "rule" of no November night games becomes more of a "guideline" when appropriate. Why is that rule in place - I'm curious, not a smartass (in this instance)?
This gives more creedence to the fishwrap in CBus saying that the Big T-E-N agreed to keep The Game at the end of the season because not only would it occassionaly be a night game, but it would also be making its way to the Big Ten Network to continue to line the coffers. Can I neg myself one point...? It was my forst ever post. Compared to Drew Sharp hurts me to the core down here in exile in CBus... I have forbidden all readings of the paper that shall remain nameless and if I am making a Shapian point I have clearly failed the MGoBlogoshpere. My sincerest apologies. I have an office full of gay acorns/hairless nuts and just wanted more Blue.
Not to sound like an Enzyte commercial, but it's all about the endowment. UofM is so far ahead of everyone in the Big Ten (maybe not Northwestern) and miles ahead of msu that our place is safe. I was at a private gathering here in CBus recently where Mary Sue told us the strength of the endowment has allowed UofM to hire away some of the best and brightest professors from places where they are laying off and cutting back. There was an article in the News or possibly the paper whose name we do not speak in my household before I banned it from all souces of media that in the past few years msu has gotten up to a $700MM endowment from $300MM at the same time UofM went from $1B to $7B. That's a war chest to go along with all of the other things UofM has going for it. We'll be fine.
Gus Johnson was our catcher & first baseman in high school. He was like a young Miguel Cabrera in the Detroit Catholic League. He used to marvel when my curve actually curved.
