How did he already put in…

How did he already put in work? The collective went to work for a coach they liked and wanted. Its ok to say that. Its obvious that Juwan was not really liked at UM and part of that I BELIEVE  is two fold: He wasn't Beilein and he his poor decision making with regard to his emotions. The only thing that was going to overshadow those things were winning big time but that comes with support and he didn't get the way May is getting in coming in the door.

Not many school where the…

Not many school where the basketball coach makes more than the football coach.

These are highest paid coaches entering the 23-24 basketball season.

https://frontofficesports.com/highest-paid-mens-college-basketball-coaches/

I don't think you could have paid him the same as those making 5 mil or up. And guys like Nate Oats just got an extension.

So they Sparty is a national…

So then Sparty is a national championship school since they went thr championship game in football 1 time lol You see how stupid that sounds lol Again, im not dismissing the hire but a school has to have multiple final four appearances to a "final four" school. Had it been said "he took them to a final four" instead of "he turned them into a final four school", then I wouldn't have called the statement hyperbolic.

Not trying to dismiss him…

Not trying to dismiss him but to say he turned them into a Final Four school is hyperbolic and a tool to try to make him sound like a better candidate than he is. He did well at FAU but now we have to see if that translate given how Michigan operates. Im sure FAU wasn't as stringent as Michigan has been.

They went 1 time to final…

They went 1 time to final and then got bounced in round 1 the following year (this year). He didn't turn them into a final four school lol

Well neither does Michigan…

Well neither does Michigan basketball so they are perfect match lol

So that would be problematic…

So that would be problematic as an assistant. Because he wasn't that way when Howard was away from the team and earlier in his tenure. But I forgot it was ALL Howard's fault that the team was losing. And as another poster mentioned, Martelli got alot of the praise when Michigan was winning even as an assistant.

That's a BIG IF is my point…

That's a BIG IF is my point and Michigan shouldn't have to gamble like that with time to make a hire.

People always say a mid…

People always say a mid major would finish a certain place in a major conference based on the record in their mid major conference. Thats not how it works lol

Did I say it was intentional…

Did I say it was intentional? But lets look the alums who wanted him gone. You don't think they had the funds to support the program if they liked the coach? The same was happening over on the football side in 2020 but they were able to overcome it.

So Michigan wants to act…

So Michigan wants to act like a mid major when it comes to Basketball? Michigan shouldn't have to settle for guys who "can find weird guys from weird places under the radar". Michigan is a school where football and basketball could be king but they are choosing not to be. And it almost feels like since Juwan was a part of era that brought sanctions to the school (and a team that was hated for other reasons), he was hamstrung because they didn't want to image or being lenient on admissions or NIL even though it's legal now.

That would be a terrible…

That would be a terrible idea hut would tell me the type of program Michigan wants. Also, why don't most of you get this dude left college basketball when he did because he didn't want to deal with the shift that was coming with transfer portal and 1 and done players? He knew he wasn't an NBA coach but knew he could get a job in the league because he was successful in college.

Best that he was fired for…

Best that he was fired for all involved. But letw not act like coaching is the only issue. We will know what type of program Michigan is ready to have by the hire they make. Im sorry but you can't go get a mid major coach if Michigan want to win in this era of basketball.

Let me ask y'all this? Do y…

Let me ask y'all this? Do y'all think Michigan is support the basketball program the way it needs to? Think about who was SUPPOSED to be on this team vs who ACTUALLY is. Juwan was hamstrung big time. We see how he coached with the right talent.

How else is he supposed to…

How else is he supposed to do it. The method shouldn't be the issue and typically folks attack the method when they can't attack or discredit the substance.

You should foolish. In this…

You should foolish. In this and age, you can't just let folks say what they want on social media because idiots take it as truth.

He has every right to fight…

He has every right to fight against a rumor that he hooked up with a recruits mother. Y'all just be ok with folks saying anything and it not being addressed.

Worthy def has track speed…

Worthy def has track speed and football speed but he had issues with drops in college IIRC. Also I wonder why someone like him doesn't participate in the receiver drills.

Isn't Hart known as a good…

Isn't Hart known as a good recruiter? That doesn't make sense.

That is terrible for their…

That is terrible for their basketball program but everything is football driven.

Average 1 mil a year. Will…

Average 1 mil a year. Will be paid 900k his first year.

That is a different way of…

That is a different way of looking at it.

Im was talking bout at new…

Im was talking bout at new program not Michigan with regard to a new system.

A player like him wants to…

A player like him wants to be on the field for every snap to increase draft stock but he and those around him so be thinking about what is best to keep him in the league when he gets there not necessarily about how high he is drafted. If he truly thinking about leaving after the '24 season, why spend time trying to get comfortable in brand new system.

With him entering now when…

With him entering now when he could have waited to the spring, makes be believe he has something lined up.

Possibly but he could have…

Possibly but he could have waited to the spring as well. This window that is closing is due to coaching change.

Here is the question I have…

Here is the question I have for all these coaches: why are you ACCEPTING jobs you are not a 100% sure you want to take? What happened to "Let me get a day to think this over?"

A guy leaving a DC job to…

A guy leaving a DC job to coach a position is definitely using Michigan as a stepping stone so it doesn't matter if they coming from the NFL or not.

This is normal attrition…

This is normal attrition when you take out the covid year out. JJ and maybe McGregor the only ones that had eligibility left not tied to a covid year. JJ was true junior and McGregor RS Jr. I believe. Hell without the covid year, we don't even have some who were on the roster this year.

Basically all the starters…

Basically all the starters who entered the draft.

Jaden Smith announcement…

Jaden Smith announcement. Every coach he named is no longer at Michigan so it makes sense.

For LB coach, you have James…

For LB coach, you have James Ross IiI at Cincinnati and Mike McCray at UMASS. I would check to see if they would be interested especially James Ross III.

By all accounts, he was…

By all accounts, he was leaving for the NFL no matter what. I don't think he wanted to be the HC here. Now if he did and Jim talked him out of it because he wanted him for the NFL, then that is crazy. But my guess is Minter wants to be HC in the NFL like McDonald and believes he will be in 2-3 years taking the NFL DC route rather than successful college HC route.

Then he should have never…

Then he should have never told the players he was coming back. He knew wasn't going to be the DC this year. If he was, Moore would have promoted him instantly.

In all of this, Clink…

In all of this, Clink probably should have never said anything to the players if he was still unsure. That is the only thing I don't like about this for the players.

If he was still holding out hope that he would be the DC, then I hope he wasn't lied to by Sherrone because then that is a bad look for him.

The recruiting aspect is par…

The recruiting aspect is par for the course. But I don't think you put a coordinator in front of a booster club when he is unsure of his intentions. That just doesn't make sense to me.

This was from 2 days ago…

This was from 2 days ago when Ryan Grubb spoke to Red Elephant Club (Bama boosters). This would be a terrible look if Deboer actually knew he was taking the job and let him get up there and speak at this event.

Hartline will probably be…

Hartline will probably be elevated. I wonder if Day calls plays because he had stated recently that he wasn't going to call plays.

Im a Giants fan and he wasn…

Im a Giants fan and he wasn't bad for us. His problem actually is personnel didn't always fit what he does and that is really on the GM more than anything. I think his pressure scheme would match up better with how we play in the secondary than how the Giants play in the secondary.

You would be bitching if…

You would be bitching if they hired someone else and then all the top remaining players transferred.

He was just on the road…

He was just on the road recruiting I thought and him being the recruiting coordinator, thats tough to lose him at this juncture.

Damn I wish he would have…

Damn I wish he would have stayed a Michigan then but good for him.

He can fit the criteria  to…

He can fit the criteria  to a T and it would still be problematic that you (I will assume non licensed clinician) is trying to diagnose him be you are on the spectrum as you have stated. It doesn't work like that.

People forget Warde didn't…

People forget Warde didn't hire Harbaugh and really had no loyalty to him. Also their relationship highlighted the divide within the UM football alums. Many back Warde when he cut Harbaugh's salary and wanted Harbaugh fired.

That sounds good but even if…

That sounds good but even if he doesn't transfer this year, he or Sayin will transfer eventually.

Its interesting that he…

Its interesting that he enrolled the same day Saban announced his retirement.

He actually announced…

He actually announced yesterday on Twitter

Didn't he say before that it…

Didn't he say before that it was done and the ball was in Jim's court about a month or so ago? It just proves nobody knows anything.

Would you sign a deal that…

Would you sign a deal that is not favorable to you? Look beyond the money because the money isn't the issue. Michigan, rightfully so wants to protect themselves in any contract and Harbaugh wants to do the same. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

I get what you are saying…

I get what you are saying but my point was more towards Seth saying Schefter should be embarrassed. Schefter isn't going to be embarrassed attaching his name to a report that is NFL focused. That is who he is above his Michigan ties.
