Boo this man! |
4 years 20 weeks ago | Why? |
We all knew a closer signing was coming...how does this improve the Fister trade at all? They are mutually exclusive and affect separate areas of the team (rotation vs. back-end of pen). |

Happy Friday....Go Blue! |

Delicious condiment? Or hard-nosed WR?.....we may never know. |
4 years 36 weeks ago | Tiger |
Answer: Coincidence. After taking a year off to recover from a torn ACL and broken leg, anyone would need some time to get their game back. All that proves is he is human, afterall.
Tiger Woods 2013 PGA Tour Stats: 12 starts, 5 wins including the Players, 7 top 10s.
For any other player, that would be a career year but because of it being Tiger and none of the 5 wins are a Major Championship everyone is quick to yell "BUST". Come on guys, let's be smart about this. |

18 holes and watching the Wings dismantle the Stars for their 23rd consecutive playoff appearance. |

This thread is useless in Moe Ways than one. |

5 years 28 weeks ago | Honestly... |
At this point, I'd rather Martinez just get healthy for next year when Delmon is gone. I wouldn't want to replace Garcia with a 75% healthy Martinez. |
5 years 39 weeks ago | Yep... |
And that's exactly why I feel these penalties are just. Paterno and others withheld information so that this loss of pride wouldn't occur, all the while kids were the ones on the losing end. Time to take your medicine Penn State.
Btw, good for the NCAA. They drew a line in the sand(for once) and held to their collective principals.----About time. |
5 years 41 weeks ago | Trades |
As much as I'd love to see Rick Nash wearing the wheel, I just can't wrap my head around trading almost all of our young players for him---especially to a team within the division. If we could lure Shane Doan out of Phoenix I would do it...otherwise, try to plug the leaks with what is available on the FA market and look for a mid-season trade as we did when we acquired Brad Stuart. |

I can confirm that they did, in fact, debate on Sportscenter later that night. What a joke. |
5 years 45 weeks ago | Working on those TPS Reports |
I've been having a little problem with them lately. Apparently, we're putting the new cover letter on all TPS reports before they go out. I'm going to try to remember to do that from now on. |
5 years 46 weeks ago | I wish... |
I could believe all the pro-Poggi banter but after Levenberry/Garnett/Isaac/et. al. I have become very skeptical of recruits who visit other schools and commit soon after. Rarely does that seem to work out for the previous "leader" (M). Here's to preparing for the worst and hoping for the best!..... |

For my nieces' Bday parties this weekend. They turn the big 0-1. Let's hope this doesn't end in a washout.... |
5 years 49 weeks ago | Kevin Na |
Na is so brutal to watch. He makes golfing with my 8 year old sister seem like a "quick round". |
5 years 51 weeks ago | No curse this year... |
The Madden curse applies to man, not machine. |

6 years 4 weeks ago | With the way Oliver and Smyly |
With the way Oliver and Smyly are throwing....not a chance. Then again, I was never a fan of that deal from the start so consider my opinion slightly jaded. Gio is a good pitcher but he benefits from a good ballpark and bad division. |
6 years 4 weeks ago | Padres |
Unfortunately, I think he lost his rookie elidgability last year but watch out for Anthony Bass of the SD Padres. He's one of my friends so homerism applies here...but check out his stats from 2011. Arguably the best season for a rookie pitcher that SD has ever had. Throws high 90s with a low 80s change, mid 80s slider, and high 80s cutter. If he wins the #5 spot in the rotation he could have a very, very nice season in a ballpark that favors pitching. |

Darius Heyward-Bey is the only one I can think of. No way he was top 10 without running a 4.2 or whatever it was... |
6 years 8 weeks ago | Just a thought... |
40-yard dash times are great for measuring pure speed but coaches and GM's pay more attention to game tape. A lot of guys are speed demons during drills but don't play as fast in pads. This is probably the reason we are all somewhat surprised by Junior's time. I think he might be a really good pure runner but a touch slower in uniform. |
6 years 11 weeks ago | Urgh.... |
I thought we would at least make it to March before these posts. Silly me. |
6 years 11 weeks ago | Well... |
You've got to hand it to the guy, he knows his fan base will eat that up. He'll try anything to advertise the program as a heavy hitter in recruiting...even if the emporer has no clothes. |
6 years 11 weeks ago | Funny to read this... |
"...he was the linebackers coach, talked as if we (players from northern schools) were inferior." Not sure that's the best way to attract a player...just sayin'. |
6 years 11 weeks ago | Good hire |
Seems like a pretty good hire to me...anyone who can take a "nothing" program like FIU, in a state dominated by other big-time programs, and turn it into a winner has some obvious coaching skills. He has a great chance for success, too, considering it's the Big East. |
6 years 19 weeks ago | On to Florence! |
Great game by WSU. I think the brand of football we use is very similar to what M will be running in the future - Power ground game with shotgun passing and heavy play-action. Nice to see other Michigan schools taking teams to the woodshed.
Geaux Warriors! |
6 years 29 weeks ago | How can you not want the Sox? |
The Red Sox are playing the worst baseball of anyone in the majors. Their hitting is choking on applesauce and their pitching cannot seem to keep their ERA under 5....EVEN Lester and Beckett!! I personally don't care about Fenway. If the Tigers get home field and play the Red Sox, better buy your ALCS tickets. |
6 years 40 weeks ago | Wow. |
IF I was filthy enough to be a bucknut lover, this was my funeral, and those pigs dressed in clothing were my relatives I would be returning to haunt said family.
Classless. |
