Football has changed. In hindsight, that was poor playcalling and subjecting one player to too many hits. Its a bit unfair to put so much on an RB as their shelf lives/ years to earn money are shorter.
Lol @ a Buckeye tone policing the way Michigan fans talk about their team on a Michigan message board. Perhaps your sensibilities would be better served elsewhere?
How would the Amoeba gear up to stop a run first offense (MSU)? For all of Don Brown's flaws I tend to think his style of defense would've shut Kenneth Walker down. Macdonald's 5-1 front gamble bit us pretty hard.
Yes, but on 50 attempts. Context is important, the entire defense played a role.
If you watch the 2018 / 2019 osu games, they featured guys running wide open on mesh crossing routes and deep coverage busts, respectively. Generally speaking, last year, every time an OSU WR caught a ball, there was an M DB in the vicinity
Put him on defense please....he just has so far to go accuracy wise and except for Denard, I've never seen a QB at michigan make up such a gap. I badly wanted Milton to succeed, but it wasnt in the cards.
Should he move to defense now, an NFL career is on the table.
Threads like these are so cringy. Objectively it's bad for Michigan. You realize they immediately have the Big 10's best recruiting base? (Ahead of Ohio, Pennsylvania and the DMV)
45 degree weather is not going to put, say, Nebraska on equal footing with a roster full of high 4 / 5 stars
I think a lot of people will be surprised with how physical Riley's USC teams are going to be. They aren't just doing air raid. And I see UCLA as a sleeping giant once they finally dump Kelly.
How did we steal this kid away from the LA suburbs? Especially a USC lacking defensive line talent? For example, Texas flipped Austin DE Ethan Burke the night before signing day. It's really hard to turn down the homettown school
I don't think we have the OL to manball our way down the field with Haskins, if that's what you're asking. we're not going to blow OSU off the line with Power
The most frustrating seems that OSU has always been an evolution ahead, coaching wise, of Harbaugh. We hire Don Brown to stop Meyer's power spread, they bring in Ryan Day to exploit his man schemes. We hire a coach with multiple coverages and more zone, they shift to a quick passing game to put less on Stroud (to nullify our pass rush).
I think our LBs aren't up to the task unfortunately. We'll see

The problem is NHG isn't healthy. We can't just sit mullings at LB
After forcing turnovers, Iowa players get to wear the turnover overalls
Am I crazy to wonder if RJ Moten could hack it at LB? Not that fast for the DB level, but very physical tackler and usually seems to be in position
Considering what Georgia did to a pretty good Oregon team, this is a ridiculous statement. They did to Oregon what we did to Hawaii.

The f**king gall.
2 games in, my hopes that this can be one of the greatest M offenses of the modern era are still there

I'm so glad we stopped trying to go mano-a-mano with OSU's packed WR room and shifted to zone
*Knocks on wood until knuckles get dislocated*
Time flies dont it
Er....
Im partial to the 2011 osu game column

Hot and probably unpopular take: Hart has just been so-so as a recruiter so far

Is this intentional
Big 10 schools swapping out the fertile HS recruiting territory of maryland and NJ for...what exactly?
Uh...it would appear he's implying not to count him out just yet. Not that he's transfering back to michigan

Id like to remind everyone of the last elite defensive buzzsaw - the Final Four team in 2017 - and how poorly they started the season
Zavier Simpson and Charles Matthews were scapegoats at first, by the tourney they were indispensable.
If we have to win a bunch of games 70-67, so be it. By the tourney we'll be a tough out.
Boosters calling shots / benching players is the stuff of fiction. It literally doesn't happen.
not sure how the conclusion can be anything other than the game was lost on defense. On offense the Corum fumble was the killer
double
Yeah that was a bridge too far for me. Indiana and Northwestern held Walker in check better than we did
Damn, man. If I could give you a hug I would.

Yeah I'm sure he was treated with nothing but love and respect yesterday.
Nice avi there
Thanks for this cringe take. If running a 5-2 is an NFL scheme, well, I'll note to myself to skip your future posts
And you actually believe that crap?
