Back to the Future 1, 2, or 3.  If 1 is on and 2 and 3 are following, my day/night is done.  Might be one of the most perfectly written movies.

Exactly, this sounds like a game of telephone where Cooley told someone he would definitely consider taking the job and Michigan could pay a coach between $3-$6 million.  That somehow turned into “Cooley is being offered the job and will be paid $6 million...purplemonkeydishwasher”

To your 2nd point the committee can select the 3 other team (allowing a UCF in).  Plus let them select seeding.  Make the 8 team playoffs like the basketball tournament which makes the regular season rankings meaningless.  Win your conference and let the committee select your seed in the playoff based on your resume.

Thanks for sharing.  It is…

Thanks for sharing.  It is always nice to hear about other Michigan fans who attended MSU.  I also graduated from MSU (2007) and stayed 100% committed to my Michigan fandom which even included a couple years on the Michigan State Water Ski Team.

A lot of people now ask me how survived MSU as a Michigan fan and I tell them that there are actually a lot of Michigan fans that go to MSU (for a variety of reasons) so it was never hard to find someone to watch a game.  Plus, for myself at least, my friends (and future wife) who knew I was a Michigan fan, knew I was a Michigan fan and never fought me on it and the ones that called me a traitor I would just tell them that I have been a Michigan fan way before I even knew what Michigan was, and that changing my fandom now would be a traitor move.  That either shut them up or the fact that their coach at the time was John L. Smith, either way I enjoyed my time there, made great friends, met my wife, and it has served me well career wise.

More importantly though, lets get back to the John L. Smith days of winning starting with this Saturday.

This is not a Michigan…

This is not a Michigan podcast nor do they call it a sports podcast but the Drew and Mike podcast (yes the same from the old WRIF days) is a solid listen.  Mostly pop culture and local news but they will dabble into sports.

I find it as a nice break up from hearing the same thing about the previous game during the week.

The problem is no low level…

The problem is no low level AD or up and coming AD would take the job without a full time President at the helm.  So even though this is horrible move by MSU it may have been their only move until they actually hire a President.

I don’t see him lasting that long, more as a stop gap until they have a President and they can hire an actual AD.  But then again I didn’t see them hiring Engler or making the interim AD the full time AD so what do I know.

Don't get me wrong, I am not…

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying this is a good thing, just the fact that it is taking a bad situation and making it slightly not as bad.  And we all know admitting there is a problem is the first step in correcting it.  However a four year university should never model their programs after community colleges, they need to be better then that.  And if the student's struggle with a better prepared remedial class, then maybe a four year university is not for them.

Maybe I am missing something…

Maybe I am missing something, but the article states that they are removing the class that does not count towards their degree and replacing it with two classes that do.  Also, it sounds more like it was an issue with the class it self and the online nature of it more then anything.  I am always for piling on MSU sports, but in this case it sounds like they are correcting problem with a better solution.

Serious issue, shallow thought Rule of threes with celebrity deaths, R. Lee Emery, Harry Anderson, now Barbara Bush. Hopefully that is it, these were three iconic individuals.
This does seem to be just

This does seem to be just regional.  The Chicago area appears to be safe for now, but like people have stated above, this is most likely a negotiation ploy to speed things up.  The same thing happend with HBO last summer in the Chicago area for a hot minute.  So in other words, enjoy the nice weather and don't worry about another airing of the BTN Classic Michigan vs Florida bowl game.

E.T.

Unexplained Alien invasion, aliens who can defy the laws of gravity, making the good people of the US Governement look evil.  Just one big Alien propaganda film that never answers why the Aliens came to Earth.

I am not trying to apologize I am not trying to apologize for Comcast support, it's rough, I think it is slowly getting better with the apps they have. My comment was more so that you can't compare what's happening in support with the programming decision makers. Plus let's face it BTN programming in the Bay Area is way down on the list of concerns for Comcast. Just like PAC 12 programming would be in Chicago. But, if not having the game in HD is an issue, buy a Roku and use the BTN app with your Comcast login.
Your comment suggest that the Your comment suggest that the executives making programming and technology decisions are the some ones running customer support. Something I would have to assume is not true at a company that large.
HA

I won't lie I got a good chuckle out of this one.  But, then there is IBD, I am sure I have done it before too, but are points at that much of a premium that people have to flood comments with IBD.

SIAP

Threads that start with SIAP and explaining that they looked and saw nothing.  I know commenters can be mean sometimes, but look if your story has been posted and if you can't find anything post it.  If you were wrong take your lumps and move on, we all make mistakes.  But spending 10 minutes explaining that you are sorry if it was posted before getting to the actual post really grinds my gears.

Buster Keaton

Chaplin was good, but Buster Keaton was great.  What he did in his movies are still being used today.  This is a great video on what he did, and how it is still used today.

MSU Alum, Michigan Fan Here

Similar to this kid, I went to MSU, lived in the dorms, lived a year in Cedar Village, got my diploma and have great respect of the University itself (little less with recent events), but I never once waivered from my Michigan fandom that I was born into and raised watching games with my father.

I saw the two as seperate entities that one did not have to equal the other.  My friends understood that and never gave me shit (of course this was John L. years), those who did question me, never understood that my fandom was not just because I liked Michigan, it was also Saturday tradition of watching games with my dad.

Of course I would have never gone to social media like this kid and flaunt my fandom like that, pretty unnecessary, also, there are more Michigan fans at MSU then you would think so when I saw this article I just kind of laughed and thought "how is this news".

This just reminds me of the This just reminds me of the elderly man tipping philosophy at a diner. You start off with a stack of singles as a tip and every time the waiter/waitress does something wrong you remove a dollar.

I am not saying this is a bad idea, but it just made me laugh.

JAMM'ed!

Who are you blaming then...

I think by process of elimination we can figure out who you are blaming...*wink wink* *nudge nudge*.

But I had the same feeling.  This is something I look forward to listening to and from work in the Chicago area (Chicago sports radio sucks) and this weeks was a little dissapointing, especially being a huge Riverly Week.

I agree it could be I agree it could be interesting and it's shorter then Game Day. As much as I love Game Day it seems to be an hour too long and for the 30 minutes Corso is on it feels 29 too much. Let him do his head gear pick and send him on his way.

He is from Michigan, grew up He is from Michigan, grew up in the Metro Detroit area and went to Western Michigan for like a year. That would be awesome, but if I recall correctly he spent more time at MSU with his buddy Sam Rami, so Harbaugh may have to make a guest appearance on Ash vs. Evil Dead to convince him.

Brisco County Jr. Was a great Brisco County Jr. Was a great show staring another (state of) Michigan legend Bruce Campbell. After Harbaugh was hired I wondered how long it would take someone to stumble across this episode after all the saved by the bell clips.

Loved his answer.

It almost looked like he was still disappointed he couldn't go out there and play.

Went to a wedding on the day

Went to a wedding on the day of the 2012 MSU vs Michigan game.  Was able to catch the second half at the golf course bar.  It was not the greatest game ever played, but watching the game winning field goal and being surrounded by MSU fans made for one hell of a wedding reception after that.

I can get behind that.  Peter

I can get behind that.  Peter Capaldi is probably the most dramatic Doctor of them all even with Clara being a little more light hearted.

Burn Notice

Love the Burn Notice mention, great show, proably not top 5 worthy, but love every minute of it.  Still wish they would do a Sam and Jesse spin off, those two were the highlights of the later seasons.

I feel like your list is

I feel like your list is missing Magnum P.I.

I love Doctor Who (only have

I love Doctor Who (only have watched the modern Doctor Who), but I have a hard time putting it in the Drama Category.  It is Sci-Fi with Action, Comedy, and Drama all rolled into one.

West Wing #1

I've probably re-watched West Wing 5 or 6 times by now and it never gets old.  Jed Bartlet is one of the greatest fictional Presidents of all time, right up there with President Thomas J. Whitmore from Independence Day.

Yes, but Jim, the encounter Yes, but Jim, the encounter could create a time paradox, the results of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that's a worse case scenario. The destruction might in fact be very localized, limited to merely our own galaxy.

Hell I would of taken Hell I would of taken watching Mark Harmon, aka Agent Gibbs, get knocked out of the UCLA vs Michigan game.

Can you really blame him?

By turning pro and playing with Grand Rapids during the playoffs he is getting the chance to have some playing time infront of Blashill who will probably be the next head coach of the Wings.  Sucks for Michigan and Red, but it is the right move for Larkin.
