Thanks for the tip!  Got my tickets this way as well.

I was a deferral that eventually got accepted

I had to send in my first semester grades of my senior year and shortly thereafter I was accepted.  Good luck to your daughter.

Magic

When Gail Goodrich signed with the Jazz the Lakers got 2 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder in the deal.

In 79 there was a coinflip to determine the #1 pick which was between the Lakers (Jazz pick) and the Bulls.  The Bulls got to call the flip and called Heads and the coin came up Tails so the Lakers got the #1 pick which they drafted Magic with.

Either 2004 Cal at USC or 2005 Cal at UCLA

The 04 game was when Aaron Rodgers started the game by completing his first 23 passes and ended up going 29 of 31.  Cal drove down to 1st and goal at the 9 yard line and couldn't get the winning score, losing 23-17.

In 05 it was Maurice Jones Drew leading the way in a 47-40 UCLA win.  He had 5 TD's that game 3 rushing, 1 receiving and 1 on a punt return.  That Cal team had DeSean Jackson, Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett on it.

I'm in for two

It took me many tries but I was finally able to secure piggyback seats as well in Section 18.

An article about him from the LA Times, he says his mom doesn't want him to leave the state.  Hopefully we can get him out for a visit.

Doesn't really matter to me,

Doesn't really matter to me, I'm fine with what the rest of the league wants.

Hockey Game A few years back I was in Vegas for the 2nd weekend of March Madness I want to say it was the Louisville-West Virginia Elite Eight game and the supervisor at the Bellagio book changed one of the small TV's that were right at the betting lines for me to the Michigan-Colorado College game so there is a chance it can be done but who knows if it's possible during the first weekend.

It's got partial schedules through 2011 on it. Other schools have more schedules up such as OSU through 2019, although most years it's just one game that has been announced.

Exactly

The current USC "fans" were the ones rooting for UCLA before Carroll got there.  Being born and raised in the area I know that LA fans get a bad rap for being bandwagon and for the most part it's true.  You can go across the board the sports and it's like that.  No one liked the Angels out here until they won the World Series.  The Lakers bandwagon filled up with Kobe/Shaq then disappeared during the past few years and now's it's full again.

I can't stand USC because of that and I would definitely not put them in the same level.  Best story about this is a girl my brother went to High School with and went to USC and claimed she was a big fan did not know who Lendale White was and this was during the season he ran for 21 TD's.

Couldn't agree more I can definitely say I have never met a more ignorant and arrogant fan base in my life than these USC "fans" that have popped up in the last 6 years.  It is awful living among them, with all the bandwagoners that have hopped on are just unbearable to deal with.  I know it's difficult to want to see OSU win a game but for the conference sake and also because I can't stand USC that I will say I would prefer the nuts to win this game.  As Brian put it in a post a while back something along the lines that, referring to USC, no fanbase in America deserves this success less than USC.  As soon as Carroll leaves, or maybe when the Bush stuff hits the fan and they go back to being an average team there will be no one there to watch, hell they still don't consistently sell out games.
RE: Jersey Difference Yes, you can definitely tell the difference between replica and authentic jerseys.  Usually the most noticeable thing being the screenprinted numbers on replicas versus actual stitched on numbers for authentics.  You are right though most people don't care but I'm a jersey collector so I'm very picky on what I'm looking for.
Hilarious "but hey, you recover those fumbles and it's second and seven and if you're USC that's time to play the V song." Ain't that the truth, I can't stand that damn song.
