Very proud Of the team and Coach Belein. They played tough throughout the year and they made it much farther than I ever thought they would.

On another note, it is getting kind of old watching scumbag teams and coaches get over time and time again. Oh well, hopefully the good guys will get over on them soon.
Won't matter where we are seeded. If we have an off night shooting and don't play D we will be in big trouble in the 2nd and 3rd games.
I look at GRIII and I see a game a physical body like Kevin Durant. On the flip side, his mental makeup reminds me of Carmelo Anthony. He needs some consistent fire and intensity. Just trust his game and athletic ability.
Nice! Section 116, row V. All Maize 1/4 zip sweatshirt on. With my family. Go Blue!!
Paging GRIII.....
Basketball is the most schizophrenic sport ever.
We just seem disinterested on the road against good teams. So weird.
He has WR's But the offense relies heavily on the run/veer. He has decent arm strength but cannot read a defense and has no accuracy on intermediate routes. That being said to be 24-2 over last 2 years? That's damn good.
Told my brother that I wish the Clemson D would say to Miller,
"Welcome to Devin Gardner's world bitch."
STAEE Has 9 juniors or seniors starting on D this year. This many older guys in the same system for multiple years that were recruited by the coaches so they know what is expected.
No coaching turnover.
That is the difference.
You're Dave Brandon... Step 1. Use the Dominos sponsored Michigan jet to fly to Atlanta.
Step 2. Convince ATM's offensive coordinator to fly back to Ann Arbor with you.
Step 3. Have a Brinks armored car at the airport with 2 million in it. Say, "This is just year 1 if your contract."
Step 4. If 2 mil is not enough, have Kate Upton waiting next to the armored truck, better yet, have the money as her blanket.
Step 5. Tell him, "you are the head coach in waiting."
Sounds familiar to our fans. Interesting...
Dantonio (ughhh) has showed us the way boys. Give it a little more time, we'll get there.
That's why I stopped calling them the Suckeyes and now call them the Luckeyes. It is unbearable.
It will feel like 8 weeks with all the nonsense they talk.

The way OSU is moving in the second half, they will give up 300 rushing and over 450 total? Not much of a difference in my eyes.
Vaunted defense has given up nearly as many yards rushing as ours did. So everyone needs to STFU about that.

Ohio will just be unbearable for another 8 weeks until the Natty. Ughhhhh, and if they win that? It will never end.
Without Hyde the OSU offense is not nearly as good. Next year they won't have a RB nearly as big, strong, and fast to pound between the tackles.
They look greeeeaaattttt in the second half.
Everyone that wants MSU's D don't forget that they have 2 redshirt sophomores on the starting depth chart. One on the DL and the other in the secondary. The other 9 are juniors, redshirt juniors, or seniors. Let that sink in compared to our D this year.
Here is the thing about being dominate on 1 side of the ball...take MSU: great on D, but average to below average on O. The fact that they can't score allows a team with a great O to get back in the game by being able to strike on quick scores and big plays.

At the end of the day I would rather have a great D than great O but points win games.
I would have my Taser and extra cartridges at the ready.
STAEE please

for 2 reasons:

1. I live in Columbus and I won't hear the end of it if OSU wins. If STAEE wins i can at least talk some smack.

2. MSU going to the Rose Bowl will not hurt us much in recruiting. They pretty much recruit Michigan, Ohio, and Florida. All the top prospects pick OSU or Michigan so MSU winning does not have a ripple effect. OSU winning propels them to another level, Alabama-like in the absolutely terrible B1G.

I shudder at the possibilities but OSU winning is far worse for us in the long run.

Good point. I think you are spot on with this. Urban Cryer walked in to the OSU situation with a QB tailor made for his system. Despite Hoke having to overhaul this roster and having no depth we almost (and probably should have) beat those assholes two years in a row.
That's because Our DT Willie Henry was getting his ass washed by one Ohio OL, freeing up another to block one of our LBs.
Thank you. It is a bit ridiculous. This program needs stability right now and that is what Hoke offers. He is recruiting at a high level and should see these guys through. Can't help it that those Ohio assholes hired a good coach and he walked in to a team already suited for his style and with talent.
Parent and I was fine with the game they played. The players made critical plays when it counted and Hoke was not hesitant in his decision to go for the win. 100% the correct call. I only wish that they would have used the timeout they had left after OSU used theirs. Taking out timeout would have ensured that everyone was on the same page and that the right play call was in.

As bad/young as this team was they had effort and fight in every game they played. When things went bad they kept going and trying to find a way. As a parent, I want my children to have to deal with adversity and overcome trials and tribulations so they are prepared for life. That's why I appreciate the effort of the team although I am disappoints in many of the outcomes of games this season.

I don't thin that any of us (fans) truly know the rebuilding effort that this staff is going through. The Rich Rod years were the abyss and set us back by 3-4 years. Denard Robinson excluded.

Go Blue.
More optimistic? Yes.

Yesterday I was at The Game cheering my ass off in Section 14. Their O-Line took over and started really moving our D-Line in the second half. We didn't have enough depth or experience to hold the point of attack. When one of their O-lineman got to our LB, Hyde had 5 yards or more automatically. Hyde is a beast and when he had.clean feet to start he was hard to stop. Ohio is going to have problems in the future because they won't have that power back. All their other backs are speed /spread guys that don't want contact.

Yesterday was the result of the past 7 years really. Our program has been in coaching and player turmoil and we basically lost years during the Rich Rod era. They suffered through one year of Fickell but landed their guy in Meyer as soon as they could. He didn't have to suffer through rebuilding a roster and walked in to having a QB ready for his system. They have depth and experience on their O-Line and we do not. Our O-Line will get better with depth and experience. Deveon Smith and Derrick Green are going to be unbelievably good next year and beyond.

I liked the decision to go for 2 but I wished that we would have used our timeout after they used theirs to make sure we had the play call right and everyone was on the same page.

We lost and I understand that there are no moral victories but I will say this. Hoke has went toe-to-toe with Meyer the past 2 years with an inexperienced and less talented team both time and lost by a combined 7 points. I am not nearly as worried about the future with him but they need to review the entire year on both sides of the ball. Mattison should stay because the D has been more consistent all year and will be good next year. On offense, Funk should go, Borges should unless he signs a contract promising to unleash the offense each game, Jackson might have to retire too.

Overall very proud of the team yesterday ad Go Blue!
There goes Dan Mullen getting fired and us hiring him as our O Coordinator. Football hates me this year.
Just reviewed my Recruiting issue for The Wolverine from the 2013 class. Michigan will be fine. This past class will be a good one. Interesting that Hoke only had 8 scholarship offensive linemen on the roster when he was hired. No wonder the line is terrible.
If Mullen gets fired from Miss St. I want him as our O-Coordinator.
I like this on Brandon's part. We need stability and some upperclassmen that are Hoke's recruits to see this through. There needs to be continuous improvement from here. Do we all remember the days when we went 8-4, 9-3, 10-2? A major difference those years was that we beat either, some, or all MSU, PSU, OSU, while losing a game that we should not have. This year we have lost to all 3.

Another thing to keep in mind regarding ESPN starting the Hoke "hot seat" rumors is that ESPN is heading up the SEC network starting in 2014. If you don't think they'll take any opportunity to sway the top recruits to SEC then you are naive. They want the SEC to continue to dominate for ratings and $.
Agreed. Cheer. Laugh. Cry. Scream. Just support the team.
We will be in section 14. Bought 4 tix from a Suckeye fan. I'm going with my 9 year old, my wife's cousin, and a fourth person (unknown) but one thing is for sure is that it will be 4 Michigan fans together cheering for Team 134.
We will be driving up from Columbus at 5AM that morning. Anyone have a kid friendly tailgate we could crash? Go Blue!
8 three and outs on 15 possessions today against Iowa for us. Against tempo and athletes I don't care if we had Alabama's defense we still wouldn't be able to shut teams out. Just too long for the D to be on the field.
I live in Cbus and they act the same way. They are indifferent to me. It's too bad. I thought we would be playing MANBALL effectively this year and physically pound their defense. Going to be the other way around this year.
Bought 4 tix from an Ohio fan here in Cbus. Taking my 9 year old daughter. Please guys, find a way to scrap something together and pull out a win. Not optimistic but I'm trying ;-(
Took my 8 year old daughter to the game last year. Awesome to see them and Shoelace tear up the Hawkeyes.
On a side note, just bought 4 tickets from a Buckeye fan for a The Game next weekend! I am reversing the tide of shirt color in the stands!
He went half John L. Smith and half Dennis Green. Dude looks frazzled. Has a lost or psycho look in his eyes.
We think we have it bad? Look at the Florida Gators. Urban hasn't lost since coming to Ohio and Muschamp looks like he is going to have a meltdown. Did you see his post game presser? Whoa.
Congrats To the fellas on this team! Despite the horrible coaching they prevailed!

Seriously, we were in a dogfight with the worst team in the B1G.

I will tak it though. Go Blue!
Good for Gibbons But fuck this staff.
I am in the same boat my friend.
AL BORGES FUCK YOU.
How many 3rd down formations have used that stupid fucking 3 WR stack? Stop it's not fooling anyone and no one is getting open.
That three WR stack Puts 2 WR's 2-5 yards farther away from the 1st down marker. Bad idea.
This team has zero "want to."
Problems in order of importance on offense: 1) Borges play calling
2) Both Guards and Center are bad, just really bad at blocking. I mean they missed blocks on the last screen pass. Awful.
3) Gardner (might be time to see what Morris has)
Making NW's D look like Alabama. They know what is coming. Very predictable. When we move the ball, Borges calls are fluid and have variety. Just bad.
I recall Telling everyone I know that Michigan should hire Jim Mora Jr. when we were looking for a coach when we ended up hiring Rich Rod.
NFL Pedigree, young, energetic, tough, creative. Would have been an excellent fit here.
Just go to UA. Michigan would be the bell cow and call their own shots.
Well here in Columbus they are giddy over the struggles that Michigan is having. The sports talk radio is talking about how Mchigan's recruiting prowess will stop if we don't win big games, go to good bowl games, and if Hoke doesn't develop talent. They see nothing on the field that makes them believe that we will be better next year. Hard to disagree. They also think that Hoke will be coaching for his job next year when The Game is played. Oh, and they were nice enough to remind everyone that The Game will be in Columbus next year, with a senior quarterback in Miller. I shudder at the thought of another 3 game losing streak to these assholes.
The only thing I can give Hoke credit for is that he never throws anyone under the bus. Coaches or players. I think that helps I recruiting when players and parents see and hear that. How he develops that talent will be the key to keeping his job in one or two years. At this point it doesn't look good but at least this regime of Brandon will give him ample time to do it unlike Rich Rod. Don't know what else to say. Good luck Coach Hoke. I am going to try to force myself to be a casual observer for the rest of the season and decompress.
