We have easily the best DL on paper and an absurd tandem of starting DTs. And culture doesn't disappear in one year....Nearly all of these players that will start have been through the fire, are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, and learned from all of these NFL draft picks this week what it takes to win. This f'ing defense has so many ridiculous purple smiley face players. Like, we just won a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and now we get to take #1 defense in the country for another spin? I feel like an enormous weight of always wondering whether Michigan can make it back is gone. I can't wait to just sit back and enjoy this season and cackle with glee while we get 10 sacks a game
Then Max Homa is your man. 10/10 as a human, top 10 in the world, one of the most likeable professional athletes you'll see, and never won a major. Maybe its the Ryder Cup that does this to me but root American born!
I drove from Ann Arbor over to Canada, about a hour drive, and watched the total eclipse in Colchester south of Windsor. Was on a beach at a winery on Lake Erie with a bottle of wine, no traffic whatsoever, and maybe 10 other people there. Was an amazing experience and definitely one I won't forget! I had a feeling going south in the States would be chaotic and I'm glad my gamble of driving south into Canada worked out instead!
I think this is more the fact that people care about Harbaugh more now since winning the Natty. He's far more relevant and generates far more clicks now than in years past

Minter is a legend. This defense was out of this world. One of the best ever? I cannot believe we get the world destroyers Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant back next year. What a game by that D-line
With a family history or if you have a connective tissue disorder (ie marfans) you would be followed with routine CT scans. A CT scan can pick up an aneurysm anywhere (there are really three spots: ascending aorta, descending thoracic aorta, and abdominal aorta where they can occur). If you just have an ascending aorta aneurysm you can follow them on echocardiograms (cardiac ultrasound). They are almost always asymptomatic until too late but thankfully far more rare than something like a heart attack.
I have to believe Bama puts together a game plan over 365 days for Georgia and pulls out all the stops. I don't find it surprising that it is a game they really roll despite other struggles throughout the season. Maybe, just maybe, the real Bama is like 80% of what we saw against Georgia because of it?
Mott is probably one of the top 5 hospitals in the world for congenital heart surgery. It is a truly legendary institution in that field. Ed Bove started it all and is one of the best pediatric heart surgeons to ever live. We are beyond blessed to have them in our community and stories like this are why
Mott similarly saved my babies life once and has likely done so another two times as recently as last week. I thank God every day we have such an incredible facility 15 minutes down the road. I work in critical care at the other hospital down the road so I'd like to think I know what good Healthcare looks like and Mott provides fucking amazing Healthcare. Forever thankful for them and extremely humbled by the players generosity two weeks before playing for a national championship. Who does that? Michigan does that and it's why I love this team and university. Now, let me go wipe these tears away...

I hope Bama is the favorite and the media slobbers all over them. All this UM team needs is a fire lit under them. Being a heavy favorite, like TCU last year, just doesn't give you the same laser focus. Fucking bring it on
I do think it's an absolute shame for FSU to not make it. I also genuinely think this is fine. You can't tell me the players won't be significantly more locked in knowing Bama and the SEC bias looms over them and they have a chance to shut it all up. In terms of lighting a fire under michigan this will do it. An FSU match up being heavily favored (like last year mind you) could have caused some complacency. To me Ohio State looks more impressive than any of these teams in the playoff besides Michigan. This is gonna be a hell of a next month!
This might actually be the most enjoyable UFR I have read in my 12+ years here. Obviously it is fun to see the numbers and read the jest and relive a great win but I had absolutely no idea how good of a win it actually was. My appreciation for this team and coaching staff just went up about 7 notches. This pains me to say it but my respect for OSU also went up after reading this. That is a damn good football team. A really really fricken good and well coached football team. Somehow though UM was just better and truly beat OSU at their best. Thank you for the hard work on this Seth. I'm sure I'm not the only one leaving this feeling enlightened and somehow even more in love with this team
"It depends" is the cheap answer but really the only correct one. Tonights surgery will likely be what we call an "ex fix", temporary stabilization of the bones, with definitive surgeries to follow in the next days/weeks. I'm interpreting surgery being ~4-5 hours after arriving at the hospital to mean there were no major injuries to blood vessels, no concern for a compartment system syndrome of the leg (meaning a devastating limb threatening emergency, like tiger woods had), and that he was overall very stable. If this was a severe, limb threatening, injury I can promise you they wouldn't be letting him FaceTime the team in the ER. Reading the medical tea leaves leaves me optimistic for our dude to make a good recovery.
The beautiful thing is that it doesn't have to surprise anyone again. We needed it to surprise them TODAY and it did. I'm quite sure there's other gadgets available after a whole year of practice and only one game they've taken seriously so far
Take 'em to church my friend. These last 3 OSU teams have been pretty phenomenal. Michigan just happened to be better but damn OSU is a juggernaut still. I was seriously impressed by OSU today and it says A LOT about our team that with the deck completely stacked against them they walked out with a win. This fricken team has a special culture and group of dudes
Reading back through pages 2 and 3 was quite amusing now that the game is over. Some of that didn't age very well. Can't say the same thoughts weren't running through my head live though! What a win. Damn!
How many games this year has OSU looked like this? I'd be hesitant to translate a Maryland performance, that was really an inconsequential game to achieve their goals, to anything they have planned for OSU. It's a home game at that. Take a deep breath and pour yourself a stiff drink
