I think OU should have a good enough squad to help him win it. I have hope in hoke to turn it around to give Denard a reasonable shot. A lot depends on the squad no matter how good a players stats are. I love the difference a few months can make because Pryor would have been the media's favorite. Instead his ass will be watching the games on tv for the first 5 games (hopefully more).
We hade great offensive numbers last year and for most of the season the offense was fun to watch. Against our biggest opponents we looked very bad on offense. If we had a top 25 defense last season it is still doubtful we would have beat osu, msu, and the bowl opponent.
Is it possible that DB is waiting on Harbaugh to prove himself? I know Stanford has a great record and in a BCS bowl, but who have they beat? Their best win was against USC on a last second FG and they beat Arizona who had a terrible November. Losing to Oregon isn't that big of a deal to me since they rolled every other team in their schedule save Cal. Stanford at times looked very sharp this season and I do think JH has done a good job there. Maybe DB is looking at both games to see how the coaches perform and makes an appropriate decision after Jan 1st.
Im not surprised with Lewan, he is a stud. Im pretty surprised with Gordon. I wonder if Vinopal had played the whole season at FS is he would have made the team? Gordon IMO has been much better after he switched positions.

I think Beamer has the luxury of a great DC in Bud Foster. I think Butch Davis (look past the allegations) and Paul Johnson are some of the better coaches in the ACC. As much as I hate Tressel and the shitty university he represents, I still respect him. I think if he had a pair of balls he might have won another national championship. Mike Gundy is very underrated too.

Is pretty hot. A beautiful woman who likes sports is tough to beat. I went to GA/FL this year in Jacksonville and that place is pretty cool. The Landing is a cool place you can eat and go out at night. Tailgating down there is fun. The taxis are cheap. If you go to the Landing at night you can take a water taxi for like $5. Jacksonville is a fun city, I would recommend going if you have the chance.
If I was in high school, I would think thats pretty cool. Combine that with their facilities and they're a very attractive option for top recruits. Im glad that we arent outfitted with Nike anymore cause than we would have to do shit like Ohio State and have awkward uniform combinations.

We need a new DC who has complete control over te defensive coaching staff and the system. I know another scheme may take time to learn, but our defense can't get any worse than it was this year. Plus, if the new staff teaches good fundamentals we could see immediate results with the defensive numbers.
Most importantly, I want to see player progression. I know freshman will have freshman moments, but Ezeh a 5th yr senior consistently looks like a true freshman out there.
How long are the current coaches under contract? If we get a new DC, and he has personnel control and axes the whole defensive staff will we have to pay Gibson, Tall, Braithwaite, etc buyouts? Just curious to how assistant coach contracts are set up.

I think this not only affects RR and JH directly, but the DC position. I wish DB would at least say that GERG will or will not be retained. If GERG is let go and RR stays, than we can prepare to get the best DC possible. If GERG is let go and RR goes, then we're in the same position.
The unit and scheme are very important. If they continue to play without any rhyme or reason than they will never mature or develop (Ezeh). If the next coach brings in solid fundamentals, we will see the development match the potential. But, the chain is as strong as the weakest link, great players go unnoticed because of poor defenses. If Brandon Graham played on a top 25 defense he would of been a 1st tm AA and possibly and award winner.
Tim Tebow's Florida gators record was something like 8-4. He did have a great year and there were no other quality candidates (McFadden, McCoy, Pat White). I think if Michigan wins 9 games next year with some quality victories (OSU, MSU, Nebraska) he could win the heisman.

I think this was the correct move and I think Cam has the potential to be a good LB next year while playing next to Demens a whole season.
