the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

It has been only three days, and we have people on here still discussing RR....have a little patience after taking 20 years to get back to a basketball championship game |

Playing hard, playing tough, so stop whining about them...... |

the point, oh ye of obvious obtuse thought and inability to see what is painfully obvious to the rest of the intelligent world, is that the matter is moot, there is no smoking gun of evidence to be found to take away the already handed out verdict nor to do anything to exonerate Joe Pa who has no defense as all you could possibly say is that he either knew what was going on and did little to nothing, in which case he is a lying sack of crap, or he did not know and should have known, in which case he was a proverbial idiot of the first degree, and you and all those who want to continue to debate the issue somehow thinking that the standard of proof for deciding that Mr. Paterno is guilty is the same as that for a criminal trial are full of the proverbial wit and wisdom normally attributed to those who flunk out at MSU..... His statue is gone, his legacy tarnished, and the evidence is fairly convincing that he knew what was going on but put damage control short term over doing what was right when his own personally promoted image was otherwise. He and his family can join you and whine all the way until the Lord returneth, but it is and will be a waste of time whether you have any respect for the court of public opinion or the facts in evidence or not. |

If anyone knows how to get under Urban Meyers skin and psyche it would be Mattison based on his experience with Urban.... |
| 13 weeks 6 days ago | Court of public opinion |
At this point, both a criminal court and the NCAA and the B1G and the court of public opinion have all spoken, and all come to the same conclusion, so your whining, much like that of the Paterno family and PSU and PA governmental officials is moot! |
| 13 weeks 6 days ago | Boys.... |
Paterno is dead, the court of public opinion and the NCAA have spoken, and all the horse manure pumped out by Paterno apologists including his family and the state of Pennsylvania are not going to change this one iota. Ignore them and let them flap their gums in the wind, that is all they are doing as they are simply engaging in self-masturbatory delusional speculation that matters not a bit. |
| 13 weeks 6 days ago | Those attitudes..... |
come from experience, and we have to get it through our heads that our freshmen from McGary to Stauskas to GRob3 to Van Wert are going to have to learn how to play college ball and are going to experience growing pains. You lose two games by two three pointers that go in for them and not for you, one on a definite miracle 1 in 50 or more shot, and all the analysts come out and question their coaching, their work ethic, their mental attitude.....Get real, the top 5 teams all went 0 for whatever on the road this week....Home court refereeing advantage is huge....Beilein had it right in his post game comments, question is what did we learn as a team and as individual players from the last two games. Either we get better and learn, or we keep pounding our heads into the wall and suffer more losses. |
| 13 weeks 6 days ago | Panic..... |
You guys are way too worried about one kid making a single decision on where he wants to go to college and play football. OSU will get their players, and we will get ours and sometimes they will get people we want and sometimes we will get people they want. Get over it....We expect that OSU and UM will continue to both get top 10 classes most of the time, and thinking that Meyer or Hoke will likely move that needle much from what it has historically been long term is sheer foolishness. Some kids will prefer one to the other, or one school to the other, and that will not change. Real question is likely more one of individual talent evaluation by both staffs, and the ability to find players who can be and will be coached up and developed. I trust Mattison and Borges and the entire Michigan staff more than I trust the entire OSU staff to be able to do that based on what I have seen from this staff so far, so should all of you. |

How many basketball games at the collegiate level have you coached? You do not have a clue about how easy or hard it is to get 18-23 year olds to do something in a hostile arena . Whining and criticizing coaches about things you know nothing about seems to be the way you deal with any loss . Sometimes, the other guys get the calls or non-calls and get lucky too. |
| 14 weeks 2 days ago | Gee Guys... |
A team that plays 3 freshmen about 70% of the time and 4 freshmen the other 30% of the time has two losses, both on the road, to the no. 1 team in the country and the number 10 team in the country after returning from basketball oblivion in the last few years and all you guys do is whine about what they don't do. Hell, they play with great intensity and maturity given their actual age and experience, and they found a way to win against a much bigger and more experienced OSU team that had beaten them 8 out of their last 9 meetings...You guys would date Mila Kunis and whine that she does not cook well enough for you! |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | But, you don't have any proof..... |
Just accusations of a coach who was one of his rivals and has seen him go on to have success. Either provide proof of something he has done, or stop the attempt at innuendo. This is the same kind of stuff thrown at all successful coaches at recruiting, whether it be Lou Holtz or Brian Kelly or Jimmy Johnson or Brady Hoke at Ball State or San Diego State or Bill Snyder at Kansas State....If there is something going on, we will find out sooner or later, until then, you may be entitled to your opinion, but you have yet to provide any verifiable facts to back that opinion up. What do you expect a football coach at a place where there is no tradition since the late 1960's to do, except to sell and sell hard the assets he sees and what he can do in the future? |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | Again, Any of you been to Ole Miss? |
I have, vry nice school about the size of a MAC school in terms of number of students in a stunning beautiful locale in the south that has places like Baton Rouge and Tuscaloosa and Auburn and Fayetteville and Knoxville beat all to hell with the absolutely best looking and sweetest young coeds in America.....If you have never been there, never been to the Grove, and never experienced the whole Ole Miss experience, you will never get why it is a perfect fit for some athletes and students...Not everyone wants to be at a huge B1G school with 40K to 60 K students in a place like A2 or Columbus or Madison....Ole Miss, where they redshirt Miss America's!

| 14 weeks 6 days ago | Long Way to Go This Season...... |
Let's see how the team grows and develops after this loss. A very young team found its footings and bearings and came back and made it a pretty close game on the road against a top 3 team where no Michigan team has won since 1986.......Let's see how we do Tuesday night against OSU, and move on from there.....Saw 4 freshmen on the floor a few times, learning how to play on the road in the B1G......We missed Morgan a lot tonight, and he should be back for Tuesday. Beat Ohio, and move on.
