"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."

Maybe more recent, but I know they got all the way to No. 1 in the Mike Conley-Greg Oden years, so maybe 2006?

People here have mentioned them as possibilities for the spot. I'll defer to others on where they best fit.

Love how un-prompted, he brings up Reuben and Shelton, makes me just a bit less scared abt the BUCK spot next year.

Darboh's catch is a thing of beauty. Huge play in this game, and he's been making them the whole season.

Agree and disagree.... Brandon's problem was that he didn't realize being AD of Michigan and CEO of a company were dfferent things. As CEO, mazimizing profits is oftentimes the end-all, but AD of Michigan is as much about perserving tradition, preparing for the future AND Winning (and alumni/fans will gladly spend money if you make sure those things happen)

Ray Charles is on my mind, so I'm going with Georgia.
Historically good team I've always liked, and we haven't played them in forever.

With their pass rush, will probably see even more Smith this game. Doubt we see Isaac at all since he was having Pass Pro issues earlier this year.

The defenders are tained to read keys, so even if what the Key tells you (run on 2nd and 20) is stupid, Don't they still have to react to it?
In other words, just because something is stupid, doesn't mean that someone's not trying it anyway, and the Defense will still have to defend that stupid thing.

True, Dawkins is a high-risk pick that will probably look good at the end of the season. The fact that Doyle got drafted and doesn't even start yet is a sign of how deep/undefined this team still is.

Even accounting that this blog is Michigan biased, this validates my good feelings about Michigan. Maryland is going to be head and shoulders above everyone, MSU already beat Kansas, but Michigan is right in that next tier, and is good enough to catch those 1st 2 teams (Indiana always has a ton of talent that never seems to work well together and Wiscy will always be annoyingly good, early season losses not-withstanding).

Immediately thought of Valentine. Easy to underestimate because he's not really great at one thing. Which makes his great plays even more frustrating.
Also... a very punchable face.

|1 week 4 days ago||Room?||
From what I've read of Ace's recruiting round-ups, we're counting on some attrition to even get the recruiting class all enrolled*. Would we even have room for graduate transfers?
*Yes, even accounting for the fact that some current recruits may not end up at Michigan, it seems like we are expecting a big class.

One-on-One, I have to go bear. Too big, too strong and just fast enough to take down any lion.
Now if you give a wild Houma a knife, then I take Houma over a Lion (and definitely over any of the Detroit genus), but still not quite enough to take on a bear.

As an expert Lions fan, I knew a 1 point loss was coming as soon as they missed the PAT, but for some reason, I still have hope.

Hahaha, Can a coach just change his mind and accept a penalty!!

Surprised Jake Ryan isn't playing too much for the Packers (maybe not at all??). He had 10 tackles last week, and can't even get playing time this week.

Since so many Marines are in this thread, a question I always had: is "Semper Fi" more of a Marine to Marine thing OR is it more a greeting for everyone as long as its towards a Marine?
Anyway, and more importantly, Thanks to you all for your service!

Jake Ryan also got a lot of playing time for the Packers, leading the team with 10 tackles, 1 TFL!
|3 weeks 15 hours ago||My two cents||
If the article and/or source sucks, then it just shouldn't be a post in the first place.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Doubtful||
I think there was talk of some coaches, especially Jedd Fisch, only being short-term. Fisch went from NFL OC, to College Assistant, I'm thinking he jumps for a better opportunity pretty soon. I don't worry about it since the staff right now is so high-level and the Harbaughs are known in the coaching world, they should be able to replace anyone who leaves.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||The prediction||
The Hope is that given a year with this offensive staff, that one of the QBs will emerge as something better than average. O'Korn, he of the big arm and prior experience, is the Prediction of the one who will emerge. For me personally, I have no clue who it's going to be, but I'm confident that whoever plays next year is going to be good.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Everyone's emtitled to their||
Everyone's emtitled to their own opinion, but if my son busted his but for 4 years for the team and in the classroom (whether he makes it onto the field or not), I would be disappointed if they took that scholarship away for his last year.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||I get it, but...||
Look I get it, it happens everywhere, etc, But I still find this a little dirty. Seems like the recruits who may get squeezed out have been made aware of the situation and have time to react.
But to any 5th years that it may affect. Those guys may lose the scholarship they have counted on just as they are so close to getting their degree. With college loans, financial aid and whatnot, it's hopefully a managable situation for them, but still feels like puling the rug out from under them.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Not familiar with Morris.||
Not familiar with Morris. Noone stood out to me on Minnesota last year besides Andre Hollins, and even that wasn't always for good reasons. You never know who's going to make a jump though.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Agreed, that's already 2 of||
Agreed, that's already 2 of the probable All Big Ten first teamers and Walton. SG talent is relatively deep and there aren't too many quality Big Ten centers anyway (and maybe not college bball in general)
|3 weeks 4 days ago||You can already see who the||
You can already see who the top teams are (Maryland, State, Indiana, us, Wiscy)
So my 1st guess as to the teams bad enough that noone gets picked: Rutgers, Penn State, and Minnesota
