Furthermore, as you state,

Furthermore, as you state, your friend is a coach at Woodbridge High School.  Every coach should be trying to help a young man.  I have personally told several coaches aboun his player Da'shawn Hand. Michigan and several other D-1 schools have offered that kid based on what I told them about him.  That is what you call character.

Every reporter that has interviewed my son can tell you that he always talks about his team mates before he talks about himself.  My son tells every college recruiter that is recruiting him about his team mates who should be offered also.

He has been telling recruiters about our 6'7 offensive tackle that does not have a scholarship offer.  He heas been telling recruiters about the other linebackers on his team that deserve a college scholarship.

Now you tell me if that is a me person? ??/

I have personally driven his team mates to colleges in an effort to get them schollarships.  I have personally contacted every school in the CAA in an effort to inform them about the good football players at my sons school.

That is not a me person.  My ministry is to help kids get into college.

Maybe what you and your friend should discuss is the number of Woodbridge High School football players who have to attend Hudson Valley Community College.  Maybe a little structure and tutoring after school will help these young men.

I want to see every kid in Prince William County, Virginia, get a college football scholarship no matter what school he plays for.  You will never see me bad mouth a young man especially on a national blog.

Every adult should be trying to help every kid he can for this is where he will get his blessings.  Your comments clearly reflect your character!  I wish your friend/coach at Woodbridge HS nothing but the best.

Kindly,

Eric Levenberry Sr.

To Canzior-  Before you go on

To Canzior-  Before you go on a web site and post information you should try to verify your facts especially when they are second hand. A responsible adult would take such action.

I am not a former cop as you state.  I am a 20 year supervisor in law enforcement currently.  I would not represent myself in such a negative light because my profession requires me to carry myself at a higher standard than the general public.

Second, your friend/coach that you are quoting false information from was probably the Woodbridge High School coach that was yelling at my son at the football game from the sideline.  This incident was reported to the Woodbridge Principal and documented.  Such a person should not be coaching High school football.

Third, I have never got into a fight at any football game as you state.  The facts are a federal law enforcement officer struck my son on the football field after a football game.  This federal law enforcement officer was arrested by Prince William County Police, VA, and he pleaded guilty in the case.  These facts are documented in the Washington Post other media outlets and in court records.

Maybe if you google before you press the send button you would not expose yourself to a slander law suit.  I am a mentor to kids as a football coach in Prince William County, VA and I do not yell at other peoples children.

Your friend/coach at Woodbridge or you can speak with me directly face to face if you want to know the type of character person I am.  Don't hide behind a web name and put out false information.

I coach at Saunders Middle School every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8pm. Please feel free to introduce yourself.

Kindly,

Eric Levenberry Sr.

EJ Levenberry

Hello,

This is EJ's dad. I want to thank everyone for their kind words regarding my son.  Based on the comments that were posted on this blog previously I was not going to drive my son 8 hours to visit.

However, my son's athletic director and high school coach told me how impressed they were with Coach Jerry Montgomery and I really should talk with him.  Ultimately, that led to the 8 hour drive to visit such a great university.

I want each of you to know we would not drive 8 hours to see the university if my son was not seriously considering the University of Michigan.  Michigan, Florida State and Florida are his top 3 schools right now.

A month ago Oklahoma  and Tenness were in his top 3 but Brent Venables took the job at Clemson and Peter Sirmon took the job at Washington.  I can only tell you that the entire Michigan staff is a staff you all should support and be proud of.  The people in that football building is what got us to visit.

As a parent, I would feel very comfortable sending my son of to college under the leadership of Coach Hoke.  I would be confident that Coach Hoke would continue what I have started  as it relates to being a high character person.

As you view the photo of my son you will notice that he has no tats, ear rings or dreads.  I noticed one blogger related EJ would probably have a future in front of the camera.

Please know that we have had that conversation and his image is as important as obtaining his college degree.   Lavar Arrington is his mentor here in DC and Lavar is now a member of the media.  He is well aware of life after football and where the game can take you.

I made my son visit Michigan because of its academic reputation and the people in that football building.  Once he got there Coach Hoke, Coach Mattison and Coach Montgomery took care of the rest.

Now, I can't guarantee EJ will choose Michigan but I do know he likes Michigan and the football family at Michigan and thus is STRONGLY considering Michigan.

It is an honor for my son to have a football scholarship offer from such a fine academic university with such a rich football tradition.

Furthermore, he is truly blessed to have the number of scholarship offers he has from the multiple universities.

This is all a blessing!

Thanks!

EJ Levenberry Scouting Report

Austente- This is EJ's dad.  You did a very good scouting report on EJ's strengths and weaknesses.  You were right on point.  He is 6’3 220 right now down from 226.  He does need to get stronger and he has the frame to put on the size.

He is by far not a finished product but he is only a junior.  I tell him weekly that Reuben Foster is the top linebacker for 2013.  He is humble and a hard worker.

EJ is actually a very good blocker at H Back on offense. The night you scouted him his team mate scored after running behind him as they have done all season.  I think if you watch the film you will see #36 for the opposition was intentionally trying to take out his knees when he was on offense.  Therefore, he had to block and worry about a kid running full speed from the corner position trying to injure him.

EJ is not a rah rah type of player as it relates to your assessment of his demeanor on the field.  He just does his job and gets to the football.  You are a very good scout and someone should employ you at the collegiate level.  Thank you for pointing out what he has to get better at.  Your assessment was unbiased and things that I have pointed out to him myself when we watch film together.

Maizeandbluewahoo "Fairly rigid ideas regarding how to approach his son."

If rigid ideas are programs that place an emphasis on academic success for their players, 2. Compete for a Conference Championship each of his four years and 3. compete for a National Championship then I guess I fit the box you have placed me in without having any facts.

denardogasm- "Type of guys that will put up with garbage like that." "kids will view it as a privilege to come to Michigan."

I am not sure what you mean but to the reader it sounds like you are saying you will play the music and the kids who want to come to Michigan will dance.

We were going to come up for the Ohio State game at the request of the Michigan coaching staff but I am not sure this is a good idea after reading your post.  I prefer to take him to visit schools where we know he is wanted.

The fans at Florida State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, Auburn and LSU have made him aware that he is wanted.  We did not knock on your door you knocked on our door.

EJ Levenberry's verbal offer came from Coach Tony Dews.  Coach Dews is now at Pitt.  There has been no contact from Coach Hoke or any member of his staff.
