This is my favorite kind of pool. You get a chance to win on every game.
I'm in one that my old HS baseball coach runs for $100 a square. I've yet to hit, my numbers are 3-3 and 3-7. He also runs one for the Super Bowl that's $500 a square. That one is insane, I get in on that one with my dad and a few others.

Vonleh was a perimeter big. He shot 3s and brought the ball up the floor at times. He was more of a combo 3/4 than a center/big man. Zeller was great, but 1 guy in 6 years? He's the only true center worth a shit we've had since Crean has been there. That qualifies as lots of big men to you?
|5 days 3 hours ago||The only reason we got Zeller||
The only reason we got Zeller is because he was in our back yard. If he was from another state we would've had no chance with him.

Full disclosure, I'm a huge IU fan and alum. And yes the refs sucked. Them being in the double bonus with 10 minutes left in the second half was a joke. The refs didn't cost us the game though, playing dumb basketball did.
If you allow Troy Williams to bring the ball up the floor instead of Yogi Ferrell you deserve to lose. Troy has a ton of potential, but his basketball IQ is unbelievablely low. The coup de grass was getting an offensive rebound down 4/5 with about 2 minutes left and Williams proceeding to go 1 on 5 and jack up a ridiculous shot. Why Crean doesn't sit him after the bonehead plays just to talk to him for a minute or two I'll never understand.
Crean has to go. Now. I'm tired of underachieving. I'm tired of watching no offense other than a 3 man weave at the top of the key or drive and kick. I'm tired of having no big men.

I think this is the earliest posbang I've ever seen! What's wrong, couldn't hit submit at exactly 12am?
In all seriousness, good luck to all B1G schools. My alma mater IU plays at 11:45 my time so I won't get to see much of it. March Madness is my favorite time of year, other than fall Saturdays in Ann Arbor.

Yeah, we all know he has hops. Good thing we threw him all those fades in the red zone last year against smaller CBs. Oh wait...

I actually laughed aloud a bit when I saw that it double posted me. At least I was able to keep it to a double post and not a dodeca or more post.

I was thinking the same thing. Did this jump threads too? Is it now a self sustaining entity that will drop in every Harbaugh thread?
|12 weeks 3 days ago||Double post||
So of course double post now for me...if you can't laugh at yourself lol.

I was agreeing with you. Jim was extremely competitive as a player and still is on the sidelines. It's never been about the money with Jim. I hope he realizes that he can have a much bigger impact on young men's lives at UM than he can in the NFL. Ultimately I think he realizes that molding young boys into men is more important than a Super Bowl ring.

Money won't be the deciding factor, but offering the type of money we did is about respect. You can't go after one of the best coaches in the country with peanuts, especially one that seems to know his value as Harbaugh does. It shows Jim and everyone else that we're not trying to get a hometown discount. Jim has more than enough left over from his playing days I'm sure, he's no dummy. He will go where his heart takes him. And I really hope that's Ann Arbor.
|13 weeks 6 days ago||I want Harbaugh to come as||
I want Harbaugh to come as bad as everyone else. Him coming would mean instant credibility and relevance again. Snagging a coach of his caliber, alum or not, from the NFL would be a major coup and a shot in the arm of the program. It would be felt throughout the college football world for sure and a major statement that Michigan is still a national power (stick this in your craw Drew Sharp).
Howeva, the amount of Harbaugh non-informative threads on the board is reaching a critical mass. The next few weeks are going to be an agonizing waiting period. Can we all keep generic Harbaugh x thoughts to ourselves unless there's some actual news type substance attached? I'm not trying to attack the OP, but just about every thread is something about JH and very few bring any substantive material to the table other than the front page posts by the mgoblog team.
|15 weeks 3 days ago||Patients||
I think a majority of us readers at mgoblog will be patients somewhere if Harbaugh isn't hired. Until we get a definite "no" from Jimmy, I will have patience.
|15 weeks 4 days ago||John Calipari approves of this message||
Seriously how is that sleaze still allowed to roam a coaching box in college? Dude makes a mockery of the NCAA. What I can't understand is every school he leaves gets put on probation the year after he leaves. Hmm I wonder what the common thread is there?
As far as the coaching search goes, I'm a realist. But something is telling me that Jim is coming back to AA. He is definitely done in SF and despite the reports, I don't think they want to deal him right across the Bay. What I wouldn't give to make the short drive to see a JH coached Michigan team take the field in the Rose Bowl!

It feels like it's been so long since we had nice things. Every time I think we found something nice, the injury bug cuts them down before they can become great. Jake Ryan, Denard, Gardner, Peppers, now Drake when it looked like we finally found an answer at RB.

Charles was, is, and always will be a boss! His 3 years at UM everyone in the stands knew they were watching greatness. I was in 8th grade when he was a junior, but I remember both his OSU games at the Big House like they were yesterday. The pick was in my end zone and I'll never forget when he took the punt back. I don't think I've ever seen a crowd go that nuts. I was jumping up and down and my dad was too.
Man, I miss seeing that guy suit up in maize n blue. Now I has a sad.

+1 for the Simpsons reference. Where's Moe to post a response when you need him?
|18 weeks 4 days ago||Son of a bitch.||
I was enjoying a great day of college football, stress free because the Wolves didn't play today, and now this. I hope this all turns out to be a misunderstanding but with his track record I'm not optimistic. I can't even feel good about the ND loss now.

Awesome. Why they keep running McDaniel instead of Brant I'll never know.
|19 weeks 2 days ago||This is all subjective||
For those that live on the west coast, like myself, the noon kickoffs suck. I hate waking up at 830am and trying to get into the game. But the 3:30 (12:30 California time) kickoffs at least give me time to wake up fully and enjoy a beer during the game. I love the prime time games as well. I fly back for the home night games, but the road ones are just as fun. I enjoy feeling like all the "JV" games lead up to the "varsity" game at prime time.
|20 weeks 1 day ago||What put Stanford football,||
What put Stanford football, and Harbaugh, on the map was beating #1 USC in their house when they were a 41 point dog. That was with a back-up QB that had never started a game (Pritchard). Luck had nothing to do with that. That is the definition of coachin em up.
|20 weeks 2 days ago||It's sad that IU is back to square one now||
I'm as big an IU bball fan (IU alum and from Indianapolis) as I am a Michigan football fan (season tix since '92 when I was 7). My college sports fandom has been an exercise in futility for the better part of a decade. I thought both my schools were on their way back to elite status just 3 short years ago.
I need UM to get Jim Harbaugh to at least make the fall part of my year bearable again.
|20 weeks 5 days ago||He looks much more explosive||
He looks much more explosive to the hole and once he's through it. I know it's Indiana, but he made a few cuts and made it through a few holes that neither Green nor Smith would've.

I'm listening to ESPN radio out here in California and Cowherd just reported it as fact. I think it's really happening! If so, way to go new Pres Schlissel.
|20 weeks 6 days ago||I came here for the bang but||
Holy hell when did that happen? That's the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a while. Unfortunately, I don't think even this ref would help our offense in the Ohio game, unless that spot was to the original line of scrimmage.
|21 weeks 3 days ago||God damnit. I'm so tired of||
God damnit. I'm so tired of this feeling. I didn't even look forward to this game. I knew we were going to lose. I knew we were going to lose bad. What the hell has happened to Michigan football?
Growing up (I'm 30) I used to know we could beat anyone, any time, anywhere. No matter their ranking, ND #1, OSU #1, PSU, FSU, I knew we had at least a 50% chance to win. Now I just hope we don't embarrass ourselves. We are Michigan damnit! We deserve better than this! Open up the checkbook, get Jim Harbaugh here. We (fans, alumni, students, players, admins, coaches) deserve better than this. We are all behind you!
My dad and I have been season ticket holders since '92. We are going no where. I've driven 4 hours to home games in 3-8 seasons. I've been through more losing seasons than I ever thought I'd see from UM football. Dave Brandon, either leave or get us Jim Harbaugh! The payments for season tickets will be happily given if you get us JH!
