I'm back on the bandwagon for the first time in years even though I don't get Bally sports at home. Can't wait to watch the Blues game on Saturday. LGRW.
My mom is from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. My grandfather went to the ice bowl and got season tickets in the 70s when the Packers declined. I grew up going to a Packer game every year in the 90s and 2000s when we visited grandma and grandpa. Yeah I've lived in metro Detroit my entire life and love the Wolverines but the Lions were never a serious option for me. Now I'm a gold package season ticket holder (in line to inherit more tickets from my parents) and an owner of the Packers and life is good. Just about the best decision of my life.
We're all biased but after watching five minutes of Jayden Daniels highlights I basically saw all deep balls that Nabers and Thomas ran under as well as a shit ton of scrambling with no intermediate throws. How is he different than Justin Fields exactly? Putting Nix or Penix above JJ at their age is ludicrous IMO.
JJ is 20 years old with exceptional athletic traits, leadership, and passing vision at all levels. He is fearless and will let it rip into a cereal box window or take off running but not too much. I expect the draft community to stat watch of course but if you're worried about JJ keeping up in a shootout he did that in last year's Fiesta Bowl (after two crippling pick sixes which of course are concerning). Get him on the Rams or *retch* Vikings and he'll be Jordan Love in 2-3 years.
If it doesn't negatively affect the Packers I will not hold any Ill will. I also have shares of Herbert in dynasty so I'm rooting for his success. I am glad Green Bay won't ever see him in the playoffs, barring a super bowl. Soonest LAC could play a team from the NFC north would be for the 17th game in 2025.
Hey mgoblog, it's your favorite cheesehead here. We did it again. See you in Detroit. Tailgating downtown can be a little sparse but the old fashioneds and spotted cow will be flowing once we get to that point, I can promise you that. Lots of Love!
It's been a long strange trip from 2010 (my join date) to now mgoblog. Not sure what comes next for our Wolverines but this season was absolutely legendary. Enjoy this moment.
I'm glad someone else posted a thread. I wanted to check our plan as well.
Coming from Livonia, wanted to leave around noon, stop for carry out lunch in Williamston or Okemos, then try arriving at Commuter lot 89 around 2 or 3, have a couple beers in a bag chair and then shuttle in. Solid plan or no?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I am so so bored with the single digits. Roman and Rod could have redefined #14 and #19 so that it was theirs and now it's kind of boring to see the roster.
Yes. If they serve the food in the concourse then signage is fair game. I'll be watching to make sure none of that shit is near the playing surface. I have a feeling warde might keep those ugly Meijer patches on the side of the goal post covers like the spring game. Not the end of the world though. We're a long way away from Adam Silver and Rob Manfred levels of ad creep.
I'm trolling the shit out of the MSU-CMU game thread on Reddit. Here's my post.
"I speak for the rest of r/CFB when I say FIRE UP CHIPS. There's too many MSU fans that didn't go to school there, they coast off of past success, they don't show enough respekt to their rivals, and they're just plain arrogant."
Watched one episode last night and thought it was very Meyer friendly. Not against interviewing him or getting his side of things but damn you know we're watching mostly because of the different personalities and lore around the team, not about Urbs brand of discipline. Guess that was the only way they could get him to agree to be in it
The new big Xii looks like a fun group to watch. Should be pretty competitive top to bottom.
Give me Cal and Stanford I'm the B1G and only make Michigan go west once a year and I'm fine with it. I wanna watch the Wolverines from tightwad hill one time.
Wishing the Beavs and Wazzu best of luck in the MW. They are on the level of Boise Fresno and CSU but at least they will keep playing and maybe even get a playoff spot if they win that thing.

Popcorn for me. Tissues for many others that are sure to post here.
I hope everything is okay. Thanks for all you've done the last 3 years.
Nevermind the fact that he got pulled in the third quarter in the first 8-9 games of 2023. Can't imagine why that would limit his passing numbers.
He had a better passing performance against Bama than Jayden "Justin Fields 2.0" Daniels, FWIW.
Maybe if you tell me the bad news in a good way it won't sound so bad!!
RIP

The wrap around shades, huge dip in his lip, fitted hats, receiver gloves and whatever that hairstyle is bring undeniable swagger to the position.

You never know when you might need a long snapper to catch a pass. Just ask Jareth Glanda (2011 Sugar Bowl)
It's what no one ever talks about when it comes to winning championships. The satisfaction doesn't last as long as you'd think.
What is your greatest victory? The next one. I guess that's what soulless corporate types call a "growth mindset"

That team name is offensive and they need to change it. It's 2024 for God sakes.

I'm on the hunt for this year's jersey but with #4 and Harbaugh on it.

Great, now I need a new pair of shorts.

Hey Day, my son tells me your PI firm STINKS! YOU COULDNT SMOOTH A SILK SHEET IF YOU HAD A HOT DATE WITH A BABE... lost my train of thought...
I love Mikey and he's been our defensive MVP this year but it's still a dumb number for football. I wish he would have kept #19 or #5. #hottake

I will shapeshift into Sirius Black for GameDay next week.

It doesn't seem real but today is the day. Defend our honor. Violence is the only solution. GO BLUE!
I was told this was the brand new lions
Can we get one comment in this thread giving credit to Jordan Love? Watch the fucking game.
Put it back in the MGoPodcast ads please.
Bet.

I'm fine with getting them for $150 to be honest. We're going to fucking humiliate them next week and it's going to be glorious.
Let's go Rutgers. My buddy and I are trying to go to the game in EL next week for under $100 a ticket.

If you're celebrating this you have mental problems.
I'm literally shaking

It ain't much, but it's honest work.
I'm so burnt out on the single digits, I can't even get excited. Sorry Roman. You and Rod should have kept your OG numbers.

Shit. I'm travelling that day and was hoping for a night game. Might need to make a pit stop for lunch now.
