Who sweep sexual assault under the rug. Spartans will.

Trucks are not sexy or fast. I have owned about 10 trucks and this finishes dead last. I even got the 6cyl and it was still like driving a rudderless turd. I was thrilled when that lease was up.
Nobody voted for the Shitvette? Ranks right up there with the Vega

I think my visits alone equal .7M per month. WD had to be good for 1M visits. What about the rest of you?
|6 days 15 hours ago||Agree||
Deny, deny, deny. Sweep it under the rug. That will be the approach at MSU.
|6 days 15 hours ago||Hmmmm||
What examples do you have from past incidents at MSU that indicate any willingness to do what is right? From the dorm beat downs, gun waving, etc. What I see is a desire to win at any costs and a willngness to sweep things under the rug. I fully expect them to do as little as possible.

MSU fans won't jump off the bandwagon, they will just deny and blame Michigan and the press.

I have a Silverado 4x4 4 door on lease, love the truck but hate the size. Need a truck for all of the diy projects. Had looked at buying a used 2wd 2 door work truck (Silverado, F150) and a Subaru Crosstrek - since I don't need a truck every day - but 2 door work trucks are hard to come by and not cheap - especially if you don't want white. The used truck and car together were about 35k
So I opted for 2 year lease on a Colorado 4x4 extended cab one pay of $5,500 with 24k miles. At the end of this lease I hope to have more midsized trucks to choose from - Jeep, Hyundai, maybe a new Ranger - to buy.
I am getting something like this:
Not very thrilling but at least it won't seem like I am driving a bus.
|1 week 2 days ago||Agreed||
I used to work in landscaping and drove a dump truck with a loader on a trailer, easy to get people out of the way.
|1 week 2 days ago||Yes||
I had a 2005 Colorado 4x4 for 10 years. I had a tailgate extender because the bed was short. It had a 5cyl engine but was a good tuck and I sold it for about $10k with 100k miles. I can't live without the utility of a truck but I like them on the smaller side.

I bought the ultimate "don't buy that" used car. I bought a used rental car with 40k miles. 50k miles later and it has been a great car. You know the car has been driven hard but well maintained. It was a 2 year old Pontiac G6 for $8,900.
Buying cars used cars in the 1960's and 70's was an adventure as build quality generally sucked and cars were at the end of their life around 100,000 miles - either from cancer or mechanical failure.
I would have no problem buying used now but want it to be fairly new 3-5 years old with under 50k miles.

Crosstrek - smaller but better looking!

How many curbs do you nail trying to navigate that thing around a turn? I would pay money to watch you drive in busy roundabouts.

Depends on the Wagon. I like the Volvo P1800
|1 week 2 days ago||I agree||
I leased a Silverado 2 years ago because they were cheaper than a Colorado. If you don't mind the size - the Silverado offers good value. I am leasing a Colorado extended cab now (I had the previous generation Colorado) and may buy it at the end of the lease depending upon the cost at that time.
|1 week 2 days ago||Ideas||
I know you are looking used but for new:
1. If you are a Costco member look into their buying program
2. Depending on where you work you may be eligible for a supplier discount
3. Check every relative for possible employee pricing.
I would use Carguru's, Cars.com, Craigslist, Autotrader and set-up alerts for trucks that match your needs. I would also get CarFax 5 pack or whatever it is to check on ones you are really considering. Make sure they have a clean title
Use TrueCar of KBB to see what the average selling price is so you have an idea of what you should pay.
If you can find an Auto Broker you could also try something like the Flint auto auction. I got a 2 year old car there and had good luck.
|1 week 2 days ago||Size?||
We had a couple of minivans but moved to a Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Murano (very nice), then to back to back Honda CRVs (the toaster of crossovers - affordable and functional but nothing to look at) . Depends upon how much stuff you need to haul. You have a choice of a ton of nice crossovers - much smaller and more nimble than SUV's.

I am old and the whole keyless thing takes getting used to. My wife's Honda CRV has that setup. After 45 years of driving I am so used to keys the whole keyless thing gets me.

"Perhaps the Yugo’s darkest moment came in 1989, when 31-year old Leslie Ann Pluhar died when her Yugo tipped over the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan during 50 mph winds. The incident was widely publicised, and despite a legal investigation on behalf of the victim’s family finding that the wind caused the driver to lose control, many blamed the Yugo itself for the incident."

I was a kid at the 1973 10-10 tie with OSU game. A tie sucked but we were going to the Rose Bowl right? Nope.

Rented a first generation Prius. Could not figure out how to work the controls to get it out of the rental lot. Because the dam thing did not make any noise it was hard to figure out when I got it right. I am relatively technically adept but the controls were screwy.
Rented a Jeep Wrangler 4 door on St John in the US Virgin Islands. Very curvy roads with lots of elevation change - and driving on the left side of the road. Cool ride.
I have rented a couple of the cubemobiles - Scions, Nissan Cubes and the such - that were more fun than I expected. Not sure I would want to own them but good for a rental.
Rented a convertible Mustang on Maui - extreme fun on the road to Hana.

Too bad he was so close to Fisher or he would have been our coach instead of Ellerbe. Would have been interesting to see how that would have worked out. Probably a whole lot better.
