Yesterday I saw a Fiat X19, surprised someone was able to keep it on the road.

I still want a 308 but doubt I could get my fat ass into one.
|1 day 20 hours ago||Vacuum powered anything||
Vacuum powered anything was an oddity. I do remember stomping on the gas in my brothers old pickup and the wipers freezing. I had vacuum powered pop up lights on a Lotus and there was a leak in the system. After a few minutes parked the car would wink at you.

Stealth was an underrated car. Nice looking awd and affordable. Not sure why it was not more popular. Wasn't there a Mistubishi version?
|1 day 20 hours ago||Fast and slow||
Fast - 1974 Firebird Formula with a 400 CI V8. But the smog controls tended to make it balky when cold.
Fast - 1972 Olds Toronado. Another 400 CI V8 had it 100 mph+ on old 27 between Higgins and Houghton Lake.
Faster top end - 1985 Audi GT - 120 mph on 696 late at night with no one on the road. Pulled over by police and given a sobiiety test. I had not been drinking just driving fast.
Fun but not that fast - 1976 Lotus Eclat, 1955 Ford Thunderbird and 1972 Porsche 914
Slow - 1970's MGB. It was new but slow as hell
Slower - Ford 9N Tractor, 40's or 50's I think
As you can tell by the years I am old and married and my go fast days are over!

Now I know what they are doing with all of the old tires being recycled in Detroit. The recycled treads on those uniforms look great.

Both Kensington and Camp Dearborn are near Milford which is a cool litle town with a variety or restaurants including the kid friendly and ubiquitous Leo's Coney Island.
About an hour from Ann Arbor. If you go take the scenic route of Pontiac Trail to Milford Rd which takes you through South Lyon and a bit more greenery.

He is a great kid from my area, near the top of the same class as my daughter. Just wished they had used a fundraising tool that does not charge 7-9% of the donations like FundMe. In any case a good cause.
|1 week 1 day ago||Sheriff's son||
You know he's the son of former Washtenaw County Sheriff Tom Minick, elected to two terms in the late 1970s and early '80s?
|1 week 1 day ago||I'll take Dish all day long after Comcast||
I'll take Dish all day long after having Comcast. I have it at home and at my cottage all under one bill. It's much cheaper than fucking Comcast and they don't come out twice a year to mistakenly cut my cable.
|1 week 2 days ago||It was the Coliseum||
Across from Ferry Field where the band practices. Concrete block and brick for the most part. Built in the early 1900's and home of Michigan's ice hockey team until 1973.

I was in college and drove to that game. I thought the score was worse, don't remember the stadium. Didn't LT do the leg twist on Wangler after the tackle?
|1 week 2 days ago||Don't mind the visit but take off your shoes at the door||
I don't mind if they visit but they need to take the gear off when they hit the state line, it is the polite thing to do. I've been in Pizza House in A2 a few times and have seen both OSU and State groups decked out in full gear. Doing somthing like that is like coming in a taking a crap on my living room floor.
Obey the rules and we will all get along fine.

Here is Yummy from Down East Dickering. Is this what you mean?
|1 week 3 days ago||St. Louis Arena aka The Checkerdome||
Indoor arena in St. Louis from 1929 to 1999. Saw the 1978 NCAA men's basketball Final Four and the place was a hole. Not sure how it even got the games. Combined with the crappy fans from Arkansas, ND, Kentucky and Duke. Duke was pre Coach K so they were less obnoxious than the other fans.
If I never hear "Sooie go hogs!" again I'll be a happy man. Never heard as much swearing in an event as from the ND fans.

I think it was Huron Valley Bank before they got puchased by Comerice. It was a local bank started in the 1960's in Ann Arbor with the main branch on 5th ave and Washington just down from City Hall.

You could also legitimately bring in a full sized cooler. You could almost tailgate in the stands.
|1 week 6 days ago||As a former Ann Arborite||
As a former Ann Arborite living in the 'burbs I no longer attend due to traffic, lack of parking and crowds. My son has graduated but still lives in A2 until his lease is up and has moved home for the duration of the Art Fair.
I enjoyed it in the 80's when it was smaller and I was single. It used to be a decent date activity. My son claims all he saw attending last year were "blue hairs", a group which I will soon be joining.

Not sure the right acronym but I believe it ends in ILF.

I like the self effacing comment, can you imagine Urban or Saban making light of themselves?

Bought an IR camera for Android. Only 20% off but saved $40. I've been wanting one to check insulation in my house.

|2 weeks 16 hours ago||My brother had a TR6||
My brother had a TR6, those are suprisingly quick, expecailly compared to MG's of the era. The slightly splayed rear suspension is cool. I looked at a Spitfire at one time but those were tiny. Remember MG Midgets?
|2 weeks 16 hours ago||Not much learning||
Not much learning with that car, just apply massive torque and smoke the tires. I had a '74 Formula 400 but it was an automatic, 8 miles to the gallon I think.

Aka Chevy II or Nova. My dad have the Chevy version of that Pontiac.

I believe it's pronounced a "shitvette" a cousin of the Vega which would rust while you watched, The 70's and 80's were some bad times for many cars.
