| 38 weeks 2 days ago | They had to keep Denard healthy. There was no other option. |
Perhaps with Bellomy, they have a (legit) backup and will actually let Denard run? |

Your initial response was surprising. This is better. As I tweeted (to Desmond Howard no less) when these sanctions were announced: "10 years of cheating and a national championship and this is their punishment? Totally worth it. " Yep, I'm a UM fan, an (t)OSU hater, but the facts are the facts.. The NCAA is a joke. |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | Oversigning much? |
Epic, insightful rant but all I kept thinking was...the *coaches* voting the BCS effectively validated oversigning of recruits. Who are the worst perps here? LSU and Alabama, right? |
| 1 year 24 weeks ago | "Let the market decide"? |
Nonsense. The NCAA is a monopoly. The NCAA is also bound by TItle 9 and there are enough women (with power and influence) to keep it so -- meaning that "market" will not work. Pay a football player, then you will be *legally required* to pay female soccer player the exact same amount. Till we address Title 9, all this is bullshit. |

I wish it had turned out differently. I really do. Michigan is my team. It's my school. The RR hire dragged us into a nasty, public lawsuit. We're essentially been reduced to self-sanction. And our record under RR is worse than had the reins been handed over to *any* LC assistant. Trying to figure out what Lloyd's record would be isn't going to change the cruel reality we've been faced with. Once the Titanic hits the iceberg, wondering how things would be different if it hadn't really doesn't do anyone any good. |

winning seasons (remember those!) winning Big 10 records bowl games (remember those!) no sanctions Do you non RR "haters" really think RR will (in the future, of course) deliver so much to make up for so much decimation in such a short time. Really? You think I "hate" him when in fact it's just, you know, observing reality? Stop pretending. You're better than that. |
| 3 years 5 days ago | I don't hate RR. Never meet the man. All I know is |
he's the guy that basically ended all the greatness that was there my whole life. Now, what I get is that people like you will reflexively defend without fail, always, DESPITE his record. That I do not get. And if you scroll through the COUNTLESS posts by Brian, TomVH and just people posting to the board, in fact, I never say anything bad about RR. I only point out his record when Brian or you or someone else decides to badmouth a MIchigan man who never harmed us in any way. That I don't get either. Do we have to tear down other people -- including other Michigan Men -- to make ourselves feel better that this year or the year after or the year after will finally be the one where RR proves you right? I love Michigan. I do not hate RR. I just don't think he will succeed here and I know so far he hasn't. And the fact that he hasn't has nothing to do with Carr or Coke or English or Harbaugh or anyone else. |
| 3 years 5 days ago | Terrifyingly on the radar? |
Let's not be an ass. Man served Michigan well. He's now a head coach elsewhere *and* uh, could he have lost more games in 3 years with his eyes closed than RR? Oh, that's right. We're looking at the future. Still. |
| 3 years 2 weeks ago | Absolutely not |
Anyone want to keep the lie of "student athlete" going has to be against htis. A high caliber University like Michigan offers what is essentially a full-ride athletic scholarship to a middle schooler shows the whole world what their priorities are. Under no circumstances should our great U be part of this. |

No human being could sit through the Baroque Cycle. There has never been a more needlessly wordy, painfully dull, achingly disappointing read. I don't believe you. I think you just want us to think you read it. |
