He would be quite the face of a franchise.
|2 years 43 weeks ago||I agree.||
There seem to be quite a few people here who are on opposite sides of the spectrum of change vs tradition, and not as many people who are in the middle somewhere. I personally don’t think these jerseys are that bad either, but that’s just me. I’m also of the opinion that Michigan shouldn’t mess with their home uniforms, but if they want to play with the away jerseys a little, it doesn’t bother me.
|2 years 44 weeks ago||We really do have a great coaching staff.||
No matter which coach is talking, they all come across as extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Hoke really did a fantastic job of assembling a top notch group of people to lead and develop the program.
|2 years 44 weeks ago||Oh... right.||
My bad. I totally forgot that we're not playing ND in week two again. Nonetheless, Air Force should be an interesting machup after Bama.
|2 years 45 weeks ago||Does this have any influence||
on our recruiting class numbers this year?
|2 years 45 weeks ago||ZOMG A NIGHT GAME IN SOUTH BEND!!!1!!?||
WE SHOULD TOTALLY WEAR ALL MAZE SPECIAL EDITION "FUTURE VERSION" THROWBACK JERSEYS WITH GLOW IN THE DARK WINGS PAINTED ON OUR HELMETZ!!!! Seriously though, I'm glad to see us play ND at night again. The first two games this season are going to be huge for us.
|2 years 45 weeks ago||The NCAA is an inconsistent joke.||
USC, UNC, and OSU. One of these 3's punishments is not like the others.
|2 years 45 weeks ago||I totally agree with this.||
His film isn't as jaw dropping as Issac's, but the idea of him playing for ohio or sparty makes me uncomfortable. If we don't get him I really hope he ends up out of conference.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Has he gone totally crazy?||
Everyone knows you run faster with dreads.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Hey Aqua....||
You're the man! Thanks so much for all your hard work! If recruiting worked like pok'emon, I'd use you as my recruit-'edex.
|2 years 48 weeks ago||It's good to hear||
It's good to hear that we're in strong postion for him at this point in the process. I wonder if our strong LB haul in this past class will impact his decision at all.
|2 years 48 weeks ago||This is madness?||
No, this is michigan (fergodsakes). I imagine our coaching staff is laughing maniacally at this point and calling as many recruits as possible.

Six new wolverines

We BEAT OHIO.
|2 years 48 weeks ago||Is this real life?||
Imagine what the coaches are doing right now. Today must be euphoric for them.
|2 years 48 weeks ago||I've always found||
I've always found it odd when coaches end up at rival schools later in their careers. Sheridan was especially odd because he has such a strong past with Michigan. For those who don't know, he started his college coaching career here as a grad assistant, then moved up the college coaching ranks with short stints at both Michigan State (under Saban) and Notre Dame before coming back here for three years as an assistant. Plus, you gotta figure he and his family rooted for Michigan when Nick was here. To me that seems like at least eight years of being directly on one side of The War, and then switching sides. I know a job is a job, but dang coaching is a mercenary business.
|2 years 49 weeks ago||This is pure gold.||
I commend you for being more awesome than most. From this day forth, I shall think of you as MgoMikeGundy.
|2 years 49 weeks ago||I'm not sure size/speed are||
I'm not sure size/speed are the only factors the coaches are looking for in recruits. Obviously everyone would love to have a bunch of 6'5" wideouts that run a 4.3, but how often do those guys come around? Personally, I think things like blocking, route running, and coordination are the biggest contributors to making succesful recivers. That's why you can plug a guy like Odoms or Gallon into the outside reciever role in this offense and still have success. Is taller and faster ideal? Yes. Mandatory? No.
|2 years 50 weeks ago||Great to see||
Great to see Zack have success. He's definitely played a big role in bringing this program back to being a national power. His grit and leadership will be missed next year.
|2 years 50 weeks ago||Unfortunately, I think he's||
Unfortunately, I think he's a bust (to a degree) no matter what he does this season. The reason for this is because a 5 star player is projected to be a multiple year impact player at the college level. Thus far he hasn't done that. Even if he has a breakout year and gets drafted, I don't think it's enough to justify 3 years of little production. He was expected to contribute early in some way his freshman and sophomore years, then be in line for All Big-Ten and National Honors as an upperclassman. IMO, the only thing he can prove this year is if he was a complete bust, or if he was a solid 1 year contributer that faced difficult circumstances and couldn't (understandably) live up to all his lofty expectations. With that said, we need him in a big way this year and I hope to see him reach his enormous potential while wrecking some foo's come Sept. 1st.
|2 years 50 weeks ago||Wow.||
That guy with the microphone is really annoying. "Matt... [long pause] Whostafford!"
|2 years 51 weeks ago||Recruiting tool?||
Will Michigan host recruits for a game like this? It seems like a great recruiting tool and I’m curious if Michigan (and for that matter Bama) are allotted tickets for recruits. If so, does it count as an official visit because the school pays for their seats and whatnot? Obviously they wouldn’t be on campus so the expenses of plane tickets, a hotel, and everything else a paid official visit entails wouldn’t factor in, but the school buying out a section of seats for recruits (and their families) is still a decent amount of coin. If the school doesn’t purchase the seats, do they still get a reserved section for the recruits that can afford to pay their own way?
|3 years 3 days ago||Barwis porn is still awesome||
Not to burn on the new S&C staff (cause I'm sure they do a great job) but I miss Barwis. For all the work he put into the program (and helping Brock) I wish he could've stuck around.
|3 years 3 days ago||Just a couple questions||
How many available scholarships does OSU have this year? I thought they were expected to have a slightly smaller class than usual. Will this year's class have any effect on their '13 class size?
|3 years 19 weeks ago||So what happens...||
So what happens when they play in a bowl game and the bowl game wants to put a patch on the jerersy as well? Do put it on the opposite shoulder?
|3 years 19 weeks ago||What was actually being displayed on the boards?||
When I was there for the Western game I remember the new boards looking great, but I also found myself wishing for the stats they used to list on the sides. Did they change that for the ND game and put up a constant stat bar or something?
|3 years 19 weeks ago||Good stuff||
Pretty cool to see it broken down in slow motion. Do you plan on making these for other picture pages as they come out?
|3 years 19 weeks ago||Thanks||
Thanks so much for uploading this. Really appreciate it.
|3 years 20 weeks ago||Relax, we alrady know Denard is awesome.||
Ok, so I get that Denard is our hero and everything, but at the same time I think some of y'all need to take off the blue shades and be consistent. How many people on here freak out about how awesome Rivals or Scout's predictions are when they give Denard props for something? Yet, the second they say anything you don't agree with, all the sudden they're hacks who didn't watch the game and can't write.
If we're honest with ourselves, no, his numbers don't jump off the stat sheet. I generally thought he went out and did his job. The way he was used in the offence didn't demand him to carry the whole weight of the team for us to be successful, and that's ok. But on that same token, I also didn't think the other team's defense was freaking out every time we snapped the ball. Most of the plays we ran didn't matter if Denard was the one taking the snap or not. You could've had (fill in the blank) as your starting quarterback yesterday, and probably wouldn’t have noticed much difference in the outcome of the game. I think that's the main point Rivals made. Denard didn't look bad per say, he just looked like a regular guy instead of a superstar most of the game.
We also should take into account that it's only the first game of the season, that we didn't want to show too much of the playbook, and that because of the way the game played out, we only had a limited number of drives to look at. Things will probably look much different come Notre Dame, and I expect the offense to show off quite a bit more. Al Borges isn't dumb, and I think there's a whole lot more we have yet to see out of Denard in the coming weeks.
