It can't hurt that this poor soul has had to block Gary and Hurst for weeks now. If somebody can win a job in the face of that every day they had to do something right.

I also like Deftones, young whippersnapper. (See: below) You can't help if your voice sounds like John Lennon and you make good songs.

Finally somebody says Tame

Finally somebody says Tame Impala! I also enjoy their fellow Aussies Jagwar Ma. I am relatively old for this board (I assume) but like Magnus said above, there's always good music being made. Sometimes (late 90s) you just have to look a little harder.

Looks like we have a known

Looks like we have a known friend and trusted ally in Pullman, WA.

He's been concern trolling far longer than "all of the sudden, " per his post history. Every once in awhile he comes out of the woodwork to fret over Michigan and talk up our rivals. Is it Wednesday yet? Sick of this idiocy.

Shut up and take my money!

You could try the message boards on Operation Sports for a current roster. I'd be shocked if they didn't have them for 360.

On a side note, hooked up my PS3 specifically to bust out the Denard-covered NCAA 14 during the season. Just HAD to put Peppers in on a few offensive formations. I also have mp3s of tons of band music queued up for specific moments- Temptation on 3rd down stops, etc. Ratchets up the enjoyment so many notches.

Pretty sure during that game

Pretty sure during that game Harbaugh tried to challenge something that couldn't be and Schwartz yelled at him, "Hey Harbaugh- learn the f@#kin rules!" He was laughing at him, acting really cocky (shocking, I know). Makes the aftermath a little more understandable.

I was saying boo-urns.

I'm going positive spin- I

I'm going positive spin- I believe he wants to play early and has pictured Green and Smith as upperclassmen.

Sorry for the double.

Sorry for the double.

Good grief, THAT guy is our

Good grief, THAT guy is our raw, underrated recruit?

I like how "whatever happened

I like how "whatever happened to" can be applied to a kid still in his academic freshman year (Fox). Cole may be threatening to play, but how many linemen are out? Sure, it's not a great sign, but let me know when he actually wins the job before the panic begins. The black cloud hanging over this team (and more annoyingly, this blog) cannot dissapate soon enough.

Interesting. Better than

Interesting. Better than wasting reps at DB. Good running backs can come out of nowhere sometimes. With Rawls gone, Drake Johnson rehabbing, and hopefully Hayes and Norfleet going exclusively to slot it's probably a numbers thing.

I've made a personal effort

I've made a personal effort to not learn their names, ever since The Dark Knight Rises theater shooting. It has no effect on the big picture but helps me feel like I'm not giving these freaks what they want.

whoops

Sorry, double shot.

Skyrim is amazing. The story

Skyrim is amazing. The story certainly won't melt your face like The Last of Us, but it's all about getting dropped into a vast fantasy playground and finding new things around every corner.

Pretty sure the issue had

Pretty sure the issue had something to do with Pierre Woods.

Based on that, ask Countess

Based on that, ask Countess if he wants it or wants to stick with 18. If he says no, Peppers signing the commitment papers is earning it enough for me. Look at the guy. He'll have earned it by the end of the first padded practice if "being really good" is the criteria.

While I agree that Fitz

While I agree that Fitz looked the best I think Green clearly had a better game than Smith. His ability to get to the edge and kick it into gear upfield was impressive. Smith had a nice game in his own right but seemed to be just a little tentative on a play or 2.

Maybe so, but there's no way your chin could compete at his level.

Uh oh, Lloyd Carr in the Iowa

Uh oh, Lloyd Carr in the Iowa press box thinks that is some Benedict Arnold ish! I heard when Jalen put on the jacket he could finally appreciate the beauty of a "good, honest, two-hand chest pass."

Hey man, Jake Ryan and Dennis

Hey man, Jake Ryan and Dennis Norfleet were late bloomers and late additions. Keep grinding. I was never good enough to nurture any sort of D1 fantasy.  Even if your situation is akin to, "So you're telling me there's a chance..," there is always the Rudy Kovacs route. Out of state tuition would be brutal, but there are options. I wish you all the best.

Certainly Borges deserves a

Certainly Borges deserves a share of the blame for his struggles but also Denard is just trying to do too much out there. At some point a senior QB should know when to throw the ball away and when and when not to take a sack if nobody's open. I wonder if the pressure of being Denard is making him try to make a spectacular play on every down rather than managing the game as a senior 3 year starter at QB should. The way our defense was playing a few punts wouldn't have been a disaster.

Something tells me you might

What is the point of expungement if you still have to report expunged felony offenses on job applications? I assumed that was a pretty big carrot to encourage the plea.

Bobby C

My main memory of him is Jake Long snapping his ankle to start The Game in 05 after he dared line up across him in a 3 point stance. He was crying on the sidelines because he had to miss out on the rest of it. Always respected that.

No question a win over

No question a win over Alabama would be amazing, but on the list of "Which win would you derive the most satisfaction from," MSU is pretty high up there. A win over Bama may be more valuable long term, especially as we choke out MSU's recruiting, but nothing would give me more pleasure than watching Dantonio, Tom, and the gang lose in the most painful fashion possible this year. Sorry...I have relatives...they're terrible.

The Martian Chronicles, R is

The Martian Chronicles, R is for Rocket, you really can't go wrong. One of my favorite writers. On the Yahoo front page they had an article next to the Bradbury announcement about a Dutch company planning a settlement on Mars. How appropriate! RIP Ray, the stories will live forever.

It wasn't so much his right

It wasn't so much his right or left hand that were the issue but his right and left knee. He had a lot of potential but every time he started to learn and improve a new ligament would pop. Never got to fulfill even half of his potential.

When you said "rival" what I

When you said "rival" what I think you meant was "vanquished foe."

I'm a little nervous myself,

I'm a little nervous myself, especially with so much riding on that redshirt with where he is at developmentally. He certainly didn't have a good day but he seems capable of being a really tough quarterback to play against in the future, if a little bit unconventional. His runs were as good as his passes were bad. He seems capable of scrambling for 6 yards in 3 strides at any moment. Reminds me of the quarterbacks who gave us nightmares for so many years under Carr. He seems to have gained something, physically. We're probably going to be very run heavy over the next couple of seasons, and Gardner could be a killer in short to mid yardage situations. Athletically the hype is deserved, but yeah, you definitely wouldn't want to hand over the keys at this point.

Listen young fella, if it was

Listen young fella, if it was good enough for Little Mac, it's good enough for Denard. I just hope he is spending time memorizing Nick Saban's eyebrow twitches- they predict what play the defense is calling.

What about the Illinois game

What about the Illinois game last year? Gardner made some key plays. Some of those runs he had yesterday were the most exciting plays of the scrimmage. It's not like he had wide open options to choose from out there in the passing game. I wonder how much less skepticism he'd get as a QB if his motion wasn't so ugly. His passing needs work, but I will gladly pin our hopes on that guy after Denard graduates. I'm all for getting him on the field at wide receiver, but I could just as easily see him giving teams fits at QB in two years. The kind of guy who makes 3rd and 3 seem like a good situation to be in.

Whether it was him or not, in

Whether it was him or not, in my head I read them in Drew Sharp's voice. Those were some real ball busters.

You're shocked  that parents

You're shocked  that parents flipped out and he was forced to resign after that? Girls' soccer parents? His resignation was inevitable the moment he hit send! He basically told the parents never to talk to him, cracked both Michael Vick and steroid half-jokes, and spent the rest of the letter acting like he was Béla Károlyi. Matheny's letter was coming from a good place and was full of painful truths. Just like little league baseball. /sheds tear...  I would just love to see that ex coach bump into some of those parents at an Applebees, still wearing his Green Death official coach's windsuit.

Oh well.

What can you do about it?  I mean, other than lock up an entire line of four stars, but that's just crazy talk. Not even close to possible. Wait, what? Anyway, as long as two of this year's class is ready to play in 2013 we should be okay, and maybe they can unearth the O-Line's version of Brink to add a little stress-relieving depth.

Actually Sean is doing his show with some new guy on the ESPN affiliate in Grand Rapids. I don't think Terp is on it, but it's the same time slot as the old show on 96.1 FM. I wondered if it was broadcast state wide- judging by your post it doesn't sound like it. He's pretty reasonable as far as Spartan fans allowed near a live microphone are concerned.

I'm guessing he hasn't read Three and Out yet. Hope he does well at Arizona as long as he isn't playing or recruiting against us. Sure would make for an awesome Rose Bowl, though.

I'm glad Tremendous has arrived on the scene as well, but something else caught my eye in your comment. This has to mark the first straight-faced use of "Too Legit To Quit" since Deion was an Atlanta Falcon, and your username and sig (the one...uh...quoting yourself) don't match. Not sure if serious?

You can just feel the hesitancy coming out of the vehicle after that accidental park, like they were thinking, "Ok, I'm probably lucky to get out of this with only my alignment jacked up, should I cut my losses and hoof it or try again?"
