Completely negates any development happening on campus. How anyone could watch the last two iterations of The Game and come anyway thinking OSU has an "ocean wide" (his term) talent advantage is beyond me.

I’d be interested to see the lines in the games we are underdogs. I’d imagine OSU has such a better record because 1. They’ve been a better team and 2. when they’re an underdog, the spread is a lot closer. I.e they’re never really an overmatched opponent. Doesn’t excuse our record, but a minor explanation for the gap.
Maybe it's just me, but separating Braylon Edwards the football player at Michigan and Braylon Edwards the person is pretty easy. One is mostly good, one I do not care for anymore (especially after the O'Korn comment).
They seem to believe it will come with increased pay and more offensive input. Jimbo will probably always call the plays but he would potentially get the “OC” tag.
I just got nightmares imaging McCray chasing around Quinton Flowers. We would probably win, but be careful what you wish for. I’d much rather play LSU/A&M.
Not sure if sarcasm. But if you’re saying there’s no difference between high school 1) coaching and 2) strength/conditioning and that of an FBS squad then this conversation cannot continue.
There are only so many elite college ready tackles every cycle. They, like you and I, probably grew up rooting for a certain team. They may have family ties. They may really like one staff, or one campus, or how much money they are going to collect at ______. There’s are an infinite number of factors as to why an elite recruit likes a certain school.
And what elite recruits at tackle do we have at our service? The three (four) I mentioned above are not available. Should we recruit three 5* tackles per year? Very realistic. Furthermore, the leap from high school to college is probably largest on the offensive line. It is very rare for a lineman, elite or otherwise, to step in right away and be above average.
Yeah, totally his fault that Newsome almost lost his leg, Hamilton decided Stanford was a better fit, as did Kai Leon Herbert. We shouldn't be expecting freshmen and true sophomore guys to play as much as they are, especially at tackle. But that is our current situation. It has to get better but not sure how Harabugh has whiffed on tackles. It's too soon for that.
Along with the mouthguard comment, Chris Evans sometimes tips off pass plays by almost standing straight up in the backfield. He's never really fully bent whether it's run or pass, but on pass plays specifically he's way too vertical presnap. Like he's catching his breath/getting higher to pick up blitzes better. Just a minor observation. Sometimes these things are totally random and we look too much into them.
You get a real glimpse of how much of a grind fall camp is. Hate seeing Walker hurt but loved the picture of the running backs gathering around him. That's a team.
But it also would have sucked to lose Steve Breaston or Jabrill, but having them on return duty seemed to be a good idea. Now, DPJ is probably not either of those guys, but if he's our best it's his job.
The slate is Not Great Bob™, but I encourage everyone to at least flip to the USF game at some point. As a Michigan fan and lover of all things Denard, watching Quinton Flowers here in Tampa is a real treat. He, too, is made of dilithium. Wonderful kid with a heartbreaking background.
Auburn, USC, FSU, Michigan. 11-1 Ok St gets eliminated by 9-3 Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game. Stanford (as my "sleeper" team) has a real shot at being a playoff team if they get above average QB play.
There's a picture in there of Ron Johnson with the maize pants/white jersey look. I like that look better in general but I really think that specific jersey looks best with white pants.
I'm pumped to see Khaleke do lots of damage. Also the (rare) safety duo of Woods and Metellus wrecking fools. This defense will be faster and hit harder than last years.
