Of freshly cut grass always reminds me of football.

He needs to work on foot work and his internal clock. I watched some of the opening that played Saturday night and his footwork on 5 step drops needs work and his timing. He had a few delays where the 3.5 second clock went off before he made a throw. This is something Harbaugh can fix immediately once he arrives to campus.

build character. Without earning several conclusions playing both football and basketball in my life I would not be where I am today. So what if someday I forget my own damn name, hell I already forget names of co-workers I am around daily, I lost my car keys the other day and they were in my damn hand already. I say we take the pads off of the players and play full contact in street clothes. The truth is that football is a dangerous game and what I love most about the game is that it allows you to impose your will on someone with Ill intent and it's not a felony. Without football growing up I would not have had an outlet for the anger I had growing up and who knows what I would have done to release that aggression without the game of football.

Are so down on every candidate and wasn't a guy who can "stop the spread". What is interesting is that not many can stop the spread. Ohio states is even more complicated to defend because they spread to run power. The best you can do against Ohio State is stop them in the red zone and have enough depth to take blows late in the game who they wear you down.

awesome for basketball.

likely encourages this. I think it's a great way to keep focused and motivated during the offseason.

battle in what will be a long war. Everything is about positioning. Michigan can now measure it's worth against the most talented team in the Big Ten. Michigan's worth is far less right now and that's okay because Michigan beat who they should have and was a play away from beating MSU. Depth and talent is needed to beat Ohio State. This could take a few years, but keep in mind next year is Urban Meyers 5th in Columbus. Ohio State loses a lot of experience and will no doubt reload, but Michigan returns a lot of experience and this loss will burn the fire at a higher temperature going into the offseason.

and I was saying the same thing throughout the year. Harbaugh put lip stick on a pig with Rudock and utilized Michigan's defensive strength and brought in a punter as well. Think about Michigan without Rudock, or Blake O'Neil. This would have been a 4-8 season.
|34 weeks 19 hours ago||Ohio State||
has a talent and depth advantage at every position. Remember this is Urbans 4th year and he took over a team that was all ready in good shape from day one.
|34 weeks 1 day ago||OSU||
Was not firing on all cylinders. They ran their base offense about 90% of the game and we could not stop it even when we knew it was coming. Urban attacked the weaknesses and kick our asses and Harbaughs ass. I'm finally man enough to admit that Michigan state has become Ohio States chief rival for the time being. Michigan needs to continue developing current players and recruiting depth. I agree with a lot of people that this is old, and I know it will eventually change but hopefully sooner rather than later because I cannot survive on moral victories any longer. We have to beat Ohio State and Michigan State. I don't care how it gets done, but it needs to happen.

In section 10 row 86 in the middle of all the Buckeyes. I bought the tickets off stub hub. The honest to god only way to keep them away is to win. There were a lot less buckeye fans in attendance compared to 2013.

And they just cannot stop him. He scores 4 tds and rushes for 250. Michigan wins 38-16

Maybe a bigger offensive role?

Michigan wins. Run game finds its way. Smith and Johnson combine for 200 yards.

doesn't step in and grab him if we don't. Our luck is he comes to Ohio State and plays like Tim Tebow for a year while winning a national title. So I would take him just in case.

a 27-10 Michigan win. I don't buy into the whole "Michigan has faced three tough math ups in 4 games" or the defense has holes etc. Indiana took the Buckeyes to the brink and were in the red zone with a shot to tie the game on the final play. They did most of this without Jordan Howard for nearly the entire game. If anyone remembers Howard was hurt against Ohio State and was still making plays on a bad ankle. Sudfeld was also out for most of the game and Ohio State struggled to stop a 6 foot 165 lb Xander Diamont from beating them. Indiana has an elite offense.

Can be coached a few different ways. I played defensive back and I was always coached to watch a receivers eyes on the deep ball. If I get behind on a long route I was taught to run to my man without turning around. If the receiver has to adjust back to a short ball you can see his try to make his adjustment and if you watch his eyes they will open big when the ball approaches. So many ways to skin a cat, but you must never lose sight of the receiver.

It's a combination of skill, vision, Balance, being coached to bounce outside etc... Think about Smith when he runs to the hole the play was initially called and it gets blown up time and again. Rewind a lot of those plays and see if you can identify an alternate cut back lane or see where he may have been able to bounce it outside. The difference between smith and Howard is that Howard has great balance and power and uses his vision to find a crease. Our defense faced the best back in the Big Ten last Saturday. I keep telling people to look back at the Ohio State Game, if Howard does not get hurt he gashes the Buckeyes defense all day. He was already making plays until his ankle injury. Suddenly was also hurt in that game and the Buckeyes struggled to stop Xander Diamont from tying the game on the last play in the red zone. Howard will play on Sunday's and probably a lot longer than Tevin Coleman.

For a linebacker especially in the middle is not always "his deficiencies". It has a lot to do with the defensive line losing push, or not leveraging the right direction and allowing lineman to reach the second level. Glasgow is a man eater who can't be moved around where god in was being moved and taking bad leverage angles all game long. Godin was not ready and he gave up two offside penalties. This will continue to be something opponents will take advantage of, but I am convinced Penn States O-line will be a perfect matchup for our patchwork O-line to get right against.
