I think that is the difference in the 2 programs currently. UM hates OSU while OSU is becoming indifferent with respect to UM. 12 out of 13 will do that.
Meyer respects UM and the rivalry, but has set his team's sights beyond The Game. Harbaugh will do the same if he gets his team to OSUs current position.
I sort of hope that a guy who kicks my ass on a regular basis kicks everyone else's ass, until I become strong enough to kick his myself.
Never got how him getting smacked diminished him smacking me.
The drubbing was Sept 24. Since then, they're undefeated and we lost twice. They beat OSU and pounded Iowa, both of whom beat us. They beat Wisconsin by finishing strong, which is what good teams do.
They're program history presents one of the worst stories in all of collegiate sports, and I would have loved to see it disbanded for the sake of humankind, but it wasn't. So here we are.
Harbaugh mentioned in same sentence as Saban and Meyer?
Can't we wait until he wins something? We all agree that this years squad was loaded. We "finish" great season by losing 2 of 3, and "finish" a must win game by putting up 5 yards in the 4th quarter ('cause OSUs offensive line was holding).
Demand excellence = get excellence. Pretend "pretty good" is excellence? Get pretty good.
They don't walk in straight line. A tag is clipped on the chain that aligns with a 5 yard line that falls between the sticks. When they stagger out, the tag is laid on the line and held in place everything in front of the tag is pulled tight.
This done so that when all the cheaters blow up the chain gang while making late hits on UM ball carriers out of bounds, they can reset chains to original position.
You knew that.
Waste of money. We can already pinpoint the precise location of the ball using cameras mounted above, behind and to the side of the field. Along with initial gut reaction of our teams coach on the opposite side of the field, we attain precision once limited to fields like microbiology...
Or so I've read.
I watched two great football teams play a great football game. I ranked Michigan ahead of Ohio State because I substituted my subjective observation for the subjective observation of an official who is paid to provide it - leading to the conclusion that the loser had in fact won.
With benefit of hindsight, I now see the folly in trying to discern between 2 competing theories about whether a ball was advanced 36" as opposed to 32" using technology that was not positioned to provide me with dispositive evidence.
As such, I have concluded that the call on the field should stand (as it cannot be confirmed nor reversed).
Fans I've encountered say the spot was terrible, the officiating was one sided and they hope they never have to play us again. They all said we controlled the whole game...except for the doofus who pointed out we only held the ball for 5 minutes and gained 16 yards in regulation after securing a 10 point lead.
Told him to find me some more YouTube clips and screen grabs and he just kept babbling something about UM gaining just 65 yards after leading 17-7. I couldn't remember if Burger King or McDonalds cut deeper, so I winged it with "Better pray we get screwed over by selection commitee, Taco Boy." (MGoPoints Max Score!)
Those guys are insufferable.
