Its really hard to believe he's coming back for the love of Cleveland, when his return coincides with Cleveland being absolutely stacked with commodities.
If they didn't luck into the first pick, the talk about trading for Love isn't happening, and Lebron probably isn't going back.

Thrill of Victory (1-10, with 10 being greatest thrill):
Beating ND doesn't really mean a whole lot, at least not in comparison to the other two. Just don't expect to beat the other two, with OSU seeming like a tremendous uphill climb and having huge B1G championship ramifications for at least one of the teams.
Agony of Defeat (1-10, with 10 being great burning agony):
Losing the last game against ND kinda sucks. ND and Michigan are pursuing a lot of the same guys in recruiting, especially Crawford with his "winner" comment, so that would be nice. Also, ND seems to be like the only game on the schedule that would make a difference between mediocre and excellent. Lose to all three and its another crap season.

Does this sound familiar to anyone else:
"He doesn't have great size and he doesn't have the speed of a Ty Lawson, but he does have a little change of pace. He could be a better version of Tyronn Lue. Obviously he's a little undersized and not the greatest athlete, but he can really, really shoot. When you make shots, you automatically become quicker. He probably has the biggest balls in this whole draft. That goes a long way."
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Still disagree on Bradley.||
Still disagree on Bradley.
1) In addition to the terrible attempt at net (which was far closer to the net than that Ronaldo attempt, directly in front of the net, and without a keeper in net),
2) and the disastrous turnover (which was far worse than you make it out to be)
3) he also laid a pass to a streaking Dempsey a full yard behind him, squandering one of America's first good opportunities
4) (while better than against Ghana) he was still sloppy with the ball, having a meager pass success percentage
5) and had much less of an impact on creating opportunites than Moutihno (whoscored.com credited Moutihno with 5 key passes to Bradley's 1)
EDIT: I forgot about how he fumbled the ball at the top of the box on what eventually became Dempsey's goal.
Ultimately, he took a step up from Ghana, and he still ranked as the weakest midfielder, at least behind Jones, Beckerman, and Bedoya (Zusi couldn't really find his range).

Is there a better view, because it looks like a good, not great, shot that caught the goalie flat-footed.
At least to my unexperienced eye.

To be honest with ya, all of that kinda supports McCants claims to me. "Head cases" that feel that class is like prison, would be likely to need that sort of help to make it through three years at that sort of institution.
|6 weeks 2 days ago||Second time you have||
Second time you have mentioned this thing with Chris Brown and Lewan, but I see nothing anywhere on google.
What's the story? Any links?
|6 weeks 2 days ago||First off, the intervening in||
First off, the intervening in a fight was Lewan's story, and Lewan also said he may have pushed someone. At least part of that now seems like a complete lie, as it appears that he threw a punch and came away thinking he knocked the guy out. Resolving that is not a waste of time and money.
He also has repeatedly said that he didn't say those things to Gibbons' acuser, so if you think he was defending a friend, you also think he is lying about that too.
Lastly, IMO, you are looking at the way he behaved in the MSU game through some blue shaded glasses. It was completely unacceptable and has nothing to with Gholston's helmet tug. And to denounce it because it gives MSU fans ammo is kinda sad.

I find that less awesome than not going to the scorers table to check any stats one has amassed.

This is not a player, this is an owner.
This is not an action, is a set of beliefs.
His plantation-style attitude towards his players would not be tolerated by his players, future free agents or the NBPA.
Whether or not you think justice was met, the fact of the matter is that Sterling put the league in a position that was antagonistic towards their labor union and their fans. Furthermore, Sterling may have put himself at a huge disadvantage for all future negotiations with talent.
These are actions Sterling forced the NBA into as a matter of pragmatism, not ethics.

I would posit that saying something is a "desperate heave" doesn't imply that it was the wrong move.
For example: UTL I. That game was full of desperate heaves that turned out to be Michigan's only sustainable offense.
|10 weeks 5 days ago||The only guys on the roster||
The only guys on the roster next year that seem like viable candidates for time on the wing were Levert, Irvin, and Chatman, who were all likely to be starters.
The need for a wing to back them up definitely made it into the "desperate" category.
For more evidence, it is no coincidence that Beilein went after one guy who is literally as old as he could be and be a senior in high school and a guy that played a year of post-grad basketball.
He needed guys that would be able to contribute, so he went out an took a flyer on two of the most physically developed guys he could find.

I'm wondering whether Brian bothered to read that top listed article on google about Jack Johnson.
That coppernblue article is pretty whithering and encompassing in its critique of his style of play and the shortcomings in his game. It talks less about Corsi than Brian does.
And then Brian fires back with some positively Tebow quotes. Brian doesn't take Corsi as evidence that he isn't very good, but he takes quotes from his coach saying he "plays like a man" and his teammate calling him a "thoroughbred" as evidence that he is good?
Gotta say, Brian, I think you would be mocking yourself if your argument was fed back to you in any other context.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||"And he did rather well to||
"And he did rather well to start at Michigan before the full weight of Rodriguez's recruiting came to bear."
I think this needs a little more explanation, as this seems to boil down to "Had David Molk for a year".

|12 weeks 3 days ago||I apparently don't watch||
I apparently don't watch soccer enough, cause I don't really get it.
That defender doesn't run in a straight line, he tries to cut him off, he stumbles and then takes a circular path as he tries to redirect Bale. Bale sprints past him, but hardly seems that difficult when the back had his momentum going in the wrong direction at the start.
I also am having a hard time figuring out what the guy in goal is doing.
Was that an especially out of the ordinary goal?

Rather remarkable that we have reached the point where Seth refers to Freddy Canteen as if he had 40 receptions last year, and everybody just kinda nods their head and goes with it.

Ferns, Speight, Cole, Mone, Pallante, Harris, with Beatty, Ways, and Bunting joining prior to the end of April bringing that total to 9. The remaining seven committed before the beginning of the season.
I would be surprised if Michigan gets a fifth non-kicker before the end of April, and would also be surprised if they had more than half of their 16 or more spots locked up before the season starts.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||Possibly, but he is||
Possibly, but he is supposedly high on FSU, Alabama, Florida, and will be visiting Auburn this week.
I think all four of those schools will be very much in the mix with the three you listed.
|12 weeks 4 days ago||Harris has really opened||
Harris has really opened things back up, and the Rivals guys are pretty confident in their report that Michigan is outside of his top 4.
Michigan will be in his final group as long as they have a productive ground game, but he probably should get a "Contender in a top 3-7" vibe.
Frustrating recruiting class to this point.
|13 weeks 4 days ago||Utah is 23-43 with Trey Burke||
Utah is 23-43 with Trey Burke starting.
The 1-11 start they got to the season also saw Marvin Williams and Jeremy Evans injured (starter and 6/7th man). And even if that isn't that big of a factor, it was a 12 game stretch, which can hardly show any real effect. They are currently on a 3-18 stretch with Burke starting.
Also, even if Burke did mark a big improvement, that was an improvement over John Lucas III and Jamaal Tinsley, who really have no business being in the NBA.
|13 weeks 6 days ago||To come to your defense a||
To come to your defense a bit, Trey did have 14 uncontested field goals and scored at least half of those points when the game was well out of hand. And he had a ludicrous 118 touches in the game, so he is gonna have big numbers. However, even though he had all those touches, he only had 3 turnovers, which is ridiculously good.
Stephen Curry was otherworldly, however, as those numbers of his came on 60 touches. That means on average he contributed well over a point every time he touched the ball.

He actually apologized for the gestures first, deleted the message, then apologized for the image. From the quotes from the IHSA guy, I think he changed things a bit to avoid any insinuation that he meant to flip the bird.
From the video you can see in that link, however, it does just appear to be a move of frustration in the moment, rather than flipping off the crowd or anything like that.
Like inadvertently dropping an f-bomb, I would say.

Note that that list apparently includes graduate transfers, kids who didn't seem to land at any other program, ands kids who may have gotten a nudge from their coach.

I only compared the two players. Didn't really make a comment on racism.
Unless you are referring to my opinion that Chait shouldn't be annointing himself the authority to tell white people they are racist, to which, meh...

Watched a lot of games and heard commentators refer to how much of a communicator and defensive glue Morgan is a lot more than they talked about how he "can't play above the rim".
And Morgan is an overacheiver and a great contributor, but he isn't as gritty and isn't the leader that Novak was.
