Looks like I first joined in 2009. The reason I landed on this blog way back then escapes my memory but I'd wager that I was looking to argue with people about whether or not RR could succeed at Michigan.
I second this. I don't consider the SEC to be a greener pasture. The ACC feels like a better fit and that conference would be foolish not to take this chance to extend an offer. Michigan immediately adds substantial credibility, both academically and athletically, to the conference. The TV revenue the conference could now demand would add stability by satisfying the unsettled schools (Miami, FSU, Clemson). Perhaps they even gain enough leverage to tell ND to either go all in or gtfo.
Lurking a rival team's message boards, getting butt hurt because fans of that team are perhaps a little biased towards that team, and then announcing to that message board that you just had to respond. I'm sure that your circles are proud of the man that you are.
This situation is similar to "Deflategate." No amount of logical discussion is going to change the mind of people who want to think that cheating was involved to gain a competitive advantage.
The only thing Michigan can do is continue to win after the alleged cheating, similar to what New England did in 2015.

For me... I have had tickets for nearly 30 years. I go to most games but I have cut back considerably over the past few years. My kids are teenagers and have been pretty heavily involved in fall sports. As much as I love Michigan football Saturdays, there are several factors that trump the need to be at every game, every year.

My best advice at that level. Don't pigeon hole the kids in set positions based on their current abilities. Make your best scorers play defense and let your defenders play up occasionally. Don't make one kid play goalie the entire season. The parents might not like it but it will serve those kids better in the long run.
For practice, find drills that the kids think are fun but actually teach skills. One game that comes to mind is you put all the kids in a defined area. They each have a ball. The goal is to try to kick the other balls out of the area but also protect your own ball at the same time. Last kid with a ball in the area wins. I'm sure searching "fun youth soccer drills will give you lots of ideas."
And do a parents vs kids scrimmage at the end of the season.

I was a freshman in 92-93. I remember watching the ND game in the TV lounge on our floor (Markley 5th Van Tyne). If I recall that INT correctly, it was in the middle of the field and right to the ND defender's chest. Easy pick. (Edit: Confirmed by Dennis).

When his 15 year old says he wants to go to Michigan, that's interesting news for several reasons, including the thought of Tom being around the program more in the near future.

Jason Hanson was taken as the last pick in the second round by the Lions. He played his entire 21-season career there and is fourth in NFL history for points scored (granted, all kickers at the top until you get to Jerry Rice at #42). Dude was money until the end. If there were to be a Lions' Mount Rushmore, there is a good argument that he should be on it.
Point is... he was worth being a top 10 pick. No kicker will ever be taken that high but what a luxury to not have to worry about position of significant importance for that long of time.

I guarantee you that 10 seconds before Hayes swung, he wasn't thinking "I'm going to hit this guy in the back of the head." He was pissed (deservedly so) and he threw a punch. Happens all the time in sports after dirty plays such as Mo's. In this case, Mo happened to be turned around.
Hayes will likely get a suspension as he should, but Mo's punishment shouldn't be any lighter.

No team stands to potentially gain more from a CFP bid than Ryan Day's fourth Buckeyes team, which rolled through most of the regular season with little resistance -- 11 wins, all by double digits and seven by at least 29 points -- before face-planting against Michigan for the second straight year. While that threw the Buckeyes into a bit of an existential crisis, a win over Georgia in Atlanta would certainly flip their perceptions around quite a bit. (And a blowout loss would very much do the opposite.)
