The NFL has an owners association and is only 32 teams. All private corporations.
How are you going to deal with 120+ teams, that have 5 major conferences and some are private some state run covering 50 states?
That's like saying the county of Huron can join with Kent County and Wayne County and have collective teacher agreements. Logistically, Michigan has nothing to do with Alabama and the players can't collectively bargin together - they are not the same league or state.
Would Alabama players go on strike and trash a season? The rest of the 119 teams wouldn't care. So really the players have no leverage against the NCAA as a whole.
Not even mentioning Title IX issues.

Didn't count tight ends and I really don't know how many are starters.
I'd like to think MIchigan gets back to the WI-OSU-Bama range in a few years.

Good enough with a large and weathly fan base so that internet media gets lots of clicks if they write anything about Michigan.

An exception is onscreen plays where the ineligible player is allowed to cross the line of scrimmage to go out and block because the ball is still being caught behind the line of scrimmage.

|1 day 21 hours ago||Yeah but I agree on passing||
I agree on passing they are about the same. But Gardner got sacked a lot more and our running game was non-existent. I think the big sacks are the tire fire people are talking about. Gardner always scrambled thinking he could Denard or Cam his way out of pressure. I like how Rudock gets rid of the ball under pressure.
That said, the OL and Hoke ball had a lot to do with it, so it's not apples to apples like your charts show.

Yeah, I remember Harbaugh said that didn't work in practice either and he (Harbaugh) shouldn't have called that play.

I doubt that.
Remember, everyone has a new offensive playbook. If we were still running a Hoke offense, then yeah the other QBs would know the system better.
But everyone is starting from scratch. You get with Rudock:
1) Game experience that the others do not have
2) Calmness and leadership as a senior
Yeah, Rudock is still learning Harbaugh's system. But the younger guys would be too and probably in panic scramble mode at any sign of pressure. I think our QB fumbles and QB sacks allowed would be much higher with the younger guys.
