Thats who I figured it was.

Gotta lock up the instate talent though, keep the Cass Tech Pipeline.

{Plus I wanted to know the outsiders POV.

Who do you

like him better then?

Betting Influence

Aren't most of these numbers updated based on the betting that has taken place. Last year we were the number one team to not cover the spread. We have covered every game so far, so maybe better like our chances and have pushed the lines because they are beting for us to cover?

Edit: I very well could be wrong all together.TFWIW

You Da Man

Always got the video...love the site (no homo).

Keep up the good work.

Desmond Morgan

Everyone was talking about Poole having a chance to be on depth chart, but I think Morgan has filled that spot. My guess would be that Poole will redshirt since he is a bit under-sized.

No matter what

Since its going to be on an ESPN family network it should be on ESPN3.com and your service provider should have it.

Thanks Mathlete

Thanks for all your hard work on your posts, they are great reads and have plentu of valuable information.

Thanks Tom

Thanks Tom for all your hard work. Good Luck at ESPN

Did you see the top 5 list

For the midwest the only top state is Ohio with a lagging Pennsylvania. The south has Florida (enough said) and a growing talent pool of Georgia and Louisiana.

Hey Tim

I don't know if its the same video but Scouting ohio just released his full video.

Impressive

Sounds like a very high quality kid who has a good influence in his life. Thanks for the update Tom, would love for him to wear the Maize and Blue.

Fab Five Coincidence

I think that the Fab Five has become a part of our culture and that is the only Michigan connection. While there is a very good chance that those players may be considering Michigan, but are more focused on playing together.

I think we are reading too much into this comment.

But as Blue in South Bend says "...then again, I don't know shit."

Agreed

However I believe that they will be going after elite midwest and national (just like that other school) talent. They will be able to get a few commits early on in the process from the midwest, but because of the nature of going after top-tier talent, they will prolly fill up towards the end of the recruiting cycle.

Thats a good question

I think they took this approach to help them get seettled into the job abd to let them focus on their first season. I think if they can show a good product on the field that they will take a more selective approach with offers. I know getting a top QB prospect can a this early can help to take some pressure off next years class.

Edit: Thanks a lot for the update Tom

Already on it

I heard he is what got us from 35-65% to where we are now...roughly 45-55%

Don't see that

With the trouble in Columbus and his dad being a legacy, I don't see him flipping.

Ask and ye shall receive...

Bars's Brother

I would say that PSU has a good chance given that his older brother is a LB for PSU.

Interesting

I think he likes Michigan alot but a.) wants to make sure he does his homework and b.) doesn't want to jump into a program to keep the bucknuts fans off his back. Thanks for the update Tom, hope the visit changes his mind and he goes blue.

My take

I believe that the opinion of most of the board (mine included) is that Pipkins is underrated and is a very good prospect. The belief is that we are not in the greatest position at this point for those such as Shittu and other top DT. However there seems to be alot of ecitement with the O-line recruits and most believe that if we land some of the lower rated O-linemen then we may miss the boat for the VHT (very-highly-touted) linemen.

Mean streak

I like that :45 he was in such a mean streak that he blocked his teammate into the teammates defender, then blocked his own defender. Now thats a mean streak.

I understand

I just saw one of the posts on my twitter feed and I know some people find it interesting.

Not to thread Hijack

But FWIW, I saw this exchange on twitter between Laquon Treadwell and Shane Morris where Laquon basically tells Shane that he will commit once he gets an offer. This does confirm what Tom said about Treadwell. I posted this in TomVH's update but It was a response in the middle. Since this thread is about twitter I thought I would also post it here.

Shane Morris
Yeah of course I did! When are you ganna?

haha alrightt man, I'll see you at camp right?

10 Jun

Good Plan

Im sure Coach Powers wouldn't have to do much talking after that.

I know people have mixed opinions of twitter..

I get your point

I just took the list as sort of a visual based each division, so we can see where we are stacked up against the other teams in our division.

Top 25

This could be based on their percieved top 25...which would be to say that they believe we are better then our ranking. We would move up alot because they believe we are better then where we started at.

Go Tigers!

I just recently got netflix and watched the dcumentary for the First time. Its called Go Tigers and its how massilon families would hold kids back in the 8th grade because of "maturity", so they could get another year eligibility. I too am from NW ohio and that is not a common here but it could be in the NE.

Here is the link to the movie:

Thanks

Thanks for all the updated information Tom. You definately help us to get the inside scoop on what the recruits are really thinking.

(no subject)

I believe that this is a more realistic look at the remaining spots for the class. We are going to take a QB and I would say we get wormely  which would make washington the late addition.

I wonder if

Tressel told the recruits and one of them tom Tom?

Could be a reason why this month could be good for the boys in blue????

Thanks

I see why you didn't put up the link.... sadly I am not an insider

Link?

While I believe you, I was wondering if there was a link to the article?

Im not an expert

But I would guess that there was an entry fee...so the winner in turn would win a trip to move on in the competition...

Espn Article

Here is a link to an Espn article about the top QBs at the camp.

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/football/news/story?id=6573302

QB Shane Morris (De La Salle HS, Mich.) Morris was one of the more impressive prospects in attendance regardless of class and the left-hander really made some impressive throws with accuracy and confidence. He has good height and is going to continue to add inches and bulk to his late-bloomer's frame. What stood out about Morris was the velocity and power and the manner in which he delivered the ball. Many lefties can really have a long, drawn out delivery that is more ¾ or sidearm, but not Morris. He had a quick stroke, was very accurate and threw as well on the run to both sides as any prospect on Friday. He is a definite Watch List candidate.
24/7 Article

Here is a link to the 24/7 article about the Elite 11

http://247sports.com/Article/OSU-Elite-11-Good-company-26288

Shane Morris, Warren (Mich.) De La Salle Regardless of class, Morris may have shown the biggest arm at the entire event on Friday. The Michigan commit got the ball where it needed to be in a hurry and he doesn’t have to really reach back to put extra velocity on the football. A lefty, Morris has a nice delivery, confidence and is much more than just a big arm. In Morris, Michigan has a fantastic foundation for its 2013 class.
It means

that their hands were getting sore from all the on target laser passes.

Someone had to...

amirite.....too soon??

Well played

I think I found the picture

I agree...

I looked at a different picture from this spot and it was close. Then I saw  this picture and it looked like a match.

Striking similarities...

The shadow and this picture are very similar

I saw that too

They could be just toying...but if there is a commit, I bet Tom would be less likely to speak up.

Spring Game

I know the offense wasn't playing very well, but it was encouraging that Mattison said that he was told to "call off the dogs". Definately a different vibe in this years Spring Game then last years when our defense couldn't stop the walk-ons.
