The CFP ranking doesn't matter anymore. We need OSU to beat MSU and then we beat OSU. That is the only conceivable scenario where we win the Big 10 and have a shot at the playoff.
|5 weeks 4 days ago||This whole ordeal is just absurd.||
I hate how this has all become such a contrived ritual these days. Some player blows a game, anonymous no-brained trolls lash out on twitter, regular people go above and beyond to support that player. Rinse and repeat.
Don't get me wrong but seriously people, it's just a football game. The outcome isn't going to improve your life as much as you think it is. Why must we go through this outrageous saga over and over again? All it proves is that we care wayyy too much.
Obviously the real culprits are the lowlife trolls but at this point if I'm Blake O'Neill I'm feeling a tad patronized by my supporters. Dude is an Aussie stud playing football for free on one of the best college campuses in the country, I seriously think he'll be okay...
Frankly I feel much more outrage toward the limitless internet trolling that goes on every day, preying on the weak and insecure. The mental suffering that it causes is immense, but you won't ever see them getting NYT articles, tweets, or ESPN segments for support. Not that he doesn't deserve it but I think it's a bit malapropos that as O'Neill is being showered in compliments there are millions of much more vulnerable victims suffering alone and in silence.

Definitely an all time classic, and way too good to be just for kids.
There's a movie too, which has scenes that will horrify both adults and kids alike!

The experience was made worse based on the outcome, sure, but even ignoring the actual game it was pretty bad. Our seats were near the top of the upper level, so it was like watching a game from the top of a skyscraper. They had one tiny, grainy scoreboard that just played fast food ads and clips from 300 over and over. And the flying trash. Oh, the flying trash. It was everywhere. Pretty sure the place is actually supposed to be a wind tunnel, and they just happen to have football games there once in a while.

but mostly because he was a victim of bad timing. Like Saban, Meyer, and the others, Harbaugh is setting a precedent. Players at 'Bama have no room to complain now if they're pushed out, since everyone knows that's what 'Bama does. I see it coming to that at Michigan, but at this stage Pipkins is clearly a victim of the transition.
Let's be honest with ourselves though, this is what college football has become. Michigan can either be squeaky clean and keep getting dominated by OSU, or they can choose to roll with the big boys. There is no middle ground.

but honestly the way he's acted over the last several years has made me come around. And given that I'm now aware of what an a-hole MJ was and is, I hope Lebron will surpass him.
|30 weeks 6 days ago||This is a great story and I'm glad you shared it||
I think a lot of people don't realize how important it is to exhude confidence in everything you do. Granted, it's often quite hard and stressful to do that, and you risk getting into confontrations.
Harbaugh is the epitome of confidence. I've heard stories of people who grew up with him, and they say he has always been like this even since his peewee football days. Obviously it's gotten him extraordinarily far in life. It's also possibly the reason for the friction in SF. Thankfully for U-M fans, Baalke and York are incredibly short-sighted and couldn't take it anymore. Their loss, obviously.

I mean c'mon what kind of question is this?
|33 weeks 3 days ago||I know most people here despise Duke||
And I get it. I, however, am not old enough to remember Laettner or the Fab Five... so admittedly I harbor little ill-will towards them other than for the fact that it's boring to see them win all the time.
Now, it would have been nice to see another winner for a change, not to mention being good for the Big Ten to finally have a National Champion. And after the performance against Kentucky you can't say Wisconsin wouldn't have deserved it.
But dammit, I was right there in the Maize Rage for DEATH TO BACKBOARDS. Hard to believe, but Brust's half-courter hurt even worse. So screw Wisconsin. And after Michigan's heartbreak against Louisville two years ago, there's something oddly satisfying about the Badgers choking away a 9-pt second half lead in the final...
|34 weeks 15 hours ago||I actually agree||
Hard to argue that game wasn't a masterpiece for Borges sans the 2-pt conversion play. I really believe it was Brandon who forced Hoke to fire Borges that offseason. Of course, given that Gardner wasn't able to play in the bowl game they probably would have crapped the bed against K-state anyway. The question is, would that have been enough to get Borges fired? I'm thinking probably not, since ruining Meyer's perfection at OSU would have been nirvana. The bowl game would have been a pass instead of a final test.
For all the flak Borges gets on this site (not undeservedly), his offense did manage to put up decent numbers for most of the ho-hum games. Unlike Nuss's offense, which was just atrocious all around. I honestly think with Borges they could have gone 8-4 and maybe even 9-3. Minus the guaranteed losses to ND, MSU, and OSU, the schedule was fairly light. Gardner and Borges clearly had some semblence of chemistry. Consider he went from 9.7 ypa in 2012 to 8.6 2013, then dropped to 6.7 in 2014. I don't think that's simply due to the loss of Gallon, but I could be wrong.
With Borges in the mix for 2014, would the ND curb-stomping have still happened? I say it's probably still a loss but not the utter anihilation it was under Nuss. So I really think it would come down to Gardner's performance in the Utah/Minnesota games. Bottom line is, if the Morris Incident, the student anti-Brandon rally, and email-gate had never happened, I doubt Brandon would have been canned.

Second line is "Let me start off with saying first of I, a man of great insignificance, have scored an exclusive interview."?
C'mon, you don't start off an April Fool's joke by reminding your audience of how improbable the background to your story actually is.
This was just poorly done.
|34 weeks 3 days ago||I don't understand why Michigan fans are in denial over this||
MSU has a national championship and 7 Final Fours in the last 15 years, the most of any other coach in that time period. Even if you are going just by National Championships, Izzo has as many as Kansas and Kentucky in that time span, which is 1.

As long as he embraces it. Imo you are right - your mom is worried about her "baby" not having a good time. But by 10th grade the time for lazy summers is over. This is something he could put on an early resume down the line to get a jump on college jobs and internships.

and we were talking about the SEC, all we would hear about is how great the SEC is top to bottom. And how the 6th place team in the SEC west would easily beat the the conference champion from any other conference (as in Michigan would beat Kansas).
|38 weeks 4 days ago||I typically watch games live for this reason||
but I think it's a reasonable request. Turning notifications off after games and then on again is a bit of a nuisance.
Jeez by the responses in this thread you'd think OP was asking them to sacrifice their firstborn.
|38 weeks 6 days ago||But will Harbaugh wear a a headset?||
And will Michigan fans talk about it?
|39 weeks 5 hours ago||Yes, thank you!||
This is the correct answer. There are a bunch of uninformed people on Twitter and Reddit making others believe if you see blue/black you have "higher functioning cones."
|39 weeks 8 hours ago||Wow this works nicely||
I really couldn't see black at all, but now I see it, even for OP's image.

darn. Oh well
|39 weeks 15 hours ago||Definitely the implication||
Not sure why you're getting some down votes seeing as the info he provided matches exactly with John Navarre. I'm not confident it's him but it wouldn't be the craziest thing I've seen on this site. It would be pretty awesome if Navarre was in our midst. I always felt he got a bad rap given his accomplishments. I mean the guy played in the NFL and won a Big Ten Championship. People were just bitter over the Henson debacle. The 2003 OSU game still stands as Michigan's last meaningful victory over OSU.
